We were able to get a pretty good idea of the cost of the service by phone. We provided the model number and the service provided looked up the possible parts that we needed. Once he came to our home, he confirmed what needed to be done. We received same day service, which was great because we had to turn off the oven/microwave tower switch breaker to prevent the oven from heating up when not in use.

The serviceman was very helpful and didn't try to sell us on spending more money that what was needed. Very polite and reasonable.

I contacted Mr. Oliver around 8:15 AM about our dishwasher that had stopped working. He was at our home within the hour, diagnosed the problem, and said that he would order the part and be back in touch. He came at noon the next and installed the part. He was glad to work with our schedule and come when we needed him to. He was very pleasant and professional. He will be the person we call for appliance repair in the future. We are very pleased.

Our fridge was on the blitz...the freezer wasn't really freezing and even the fridge half wasn't that cold. Herbert arrived about 2 hours after I called him and fixed it in about an hour. A wire behind a panel had become unplugged so there was excess frost in the bottom part of the freezer. He replaced a small plastic plug that he didn't charge me for, and now everything works great. The only thing is that I forgot to tell him I'm an Angie's list member...I don't know if he would have offered a discount.

We woke up one morning and our refrigerator was not cooling. The freezer seemed fine. I got on Angie's List and decided to call this company because it was nearby and had excellent reviews. Mr. Oliver answered the phone himself and said he could be there 3 hours later. I was very pleased that he could come by so quickly. When he walked in wearing knee protectors, I knew he was there to work. He immediately pulled the freezer out and said it was not defrosting. I couldn't see what that had to do with the refrigerator not cooling, but I obviously know nothing about refrigeration. He discovered that the thingamabob in the freezer was covered with ice, and was preventing cold air from getting to the refrigerator. He said the cause could be a couple of things but, when he saw the thermostat, said it was obviously bad. So he replaced the thermostat and melted all the ice from the thingamabob. After one day, all seems well. I did not do any comparison shopping, so don't know what others would charge for this repair (which apparently is fairly common), but the charge seemed reasonable to me. Mr. Oliver was polite, prompt, and explained what he was doing. I was very pleased.

Herbert responded to my call later this afternoon and came by from his previous job. Never expected that he would be able to come by that fast! Very prompt service! He knew exactly how to fix the problem with my gas stove and had the part with him. So very pleased with his service. In fact, we are having him back next week to follow-up on another item we need fixing, our refrigerator. He had to order the part for that repair and will be back early next week. I was so glad to found his company on Angie's list. Would highly recomment his service to anyone in need of appliance repair.

I could not ask for better service. Herbert was very professional, easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable right away. I usually let my husband deal with home repairs, but this needed to be dealt with right away. Herbert came out just a few hours after my call, diagnosed the problem and put a new belt on the washer which he said would buy me a few more months, but that it wouldn't be worth it to sink any more money into it (it's 20+ years old). I so appreciate his honesty, rather than just telling me to replace all the parts. He cleaned up the washer after he put it back together and left everything working and looking great. I would recommend him to anyone and will definitely call him again for any appliance needs I have!

They also looked at my dishwasher and told me repairs weren’t necessary. They said the most cost effective thing to do would be to use it until it quits and then replace it. I felt very comfortable with this person in my home. They were honest and reasonable.

Called Herbert on a Saturday morning because everyone else was closed. He showed up within 2 hours and fixed my washer in only 45 minutes. He had the needed parts, was very nice and professional and charged a very reasonable rate. I even threw in a $20 tip, just because the service was so good.

Herbert was absolutely great. Very friendly and personable as well as timely and professional. He arrived on time, diagnosed my problem, had the part on hand, and had the oven working good as new within an hour. I would definitely recommend Accurate Appliance to anyone looking for appliance repair.

This gentleman is AWESOME. He owns the company and HE personally does the work. He has been in business for many years and I know why. He is honest, does what he says, takes his time and does it right the first time. He is DEFINITELY my go to person from now on. I am a realtor and a LOT of people ask me to refer someone. He will get ALL my referrals and I have also placed a notice on our office bulletin board about him and his work. We have a County Book of Recommended Services in the county where I live. When I was searching for someone to repair my refrigerator, I researched the reviews for those people and then I contacted Angie's List in frustration. I had never used Angie's before but when I saw A A A A A A for this company.... it was a done deal. Angie's List AND Accurate Appliance are both A+++ on my list.

We have had a persistent issue with ice building up in the fridge. Herb came a few months back and replaced some tubing. I called him in mid-July and waited two days for him to show before calling him back again. In the past, he showed up when he said he was going to. The last couple times, he acts as if I've never called him. Its days later before he shows up and then he's on the phone the whole time he's in the house. This last time, he came in and couldn't diagnose the problem (same recurring problem) but left after 10 minutes and charged me for a service call. The fridge is too cold, the freezer is too hot, ice is forming, and there's clearly a problem but he can't diagnose it. I won't be calling him again.

Excellent response, knowledgeable, had the part in the truck, no problems ... even returned for a kinked hose at no extra charge.

I like his timeliness, the quality of his work and his professionalism. They had fair pricing.

Herb arrived right around the time he said he would. He also called in advance of arriving, which was helpful. He came right in and got to work. It couldn't have been half an hour later, he was done! He was super personable and nice, and I'd have him back in a second (except that I really don't want another appliance repair).

Herbert arrived exactly when he said he would. He was very efficient and personable. He explained step by step the problem and what it would take to repair. Unfortunately, he did warn me that the next time the fridge went on the blink, it would take a new compressor. That was in December; I had to phone him today to tell him that the freezer had once again stopped cooling. He was very upfront with me and said that it was in my best interest to get a totally new refrigerator. I was very pleased by his honesty. He could have easily come and replaced parts and charged me 3/4 of what a new fridge would cost. Five stars for Accurate Appliances.

I've used this company 3x with satisfactory results. Herbert, the owner, is very friendly and good at diagnosing/repairing appliances on the first attempt. This time was no exception. He works normal business hours Monday-Friday. Unfortunately, this no longer jibes with my new work hours, so I had the repair work scheduled for a holiday when I knew I would be off from work. Somehow our wires got crossed, Herbert fell ill and as a result my washer wasn't repaired on the day I'd originally planned. Herbert made things right by coming out the following Saturday when I was off work to repair my washing machine. His service call fee is a little higher than average. Parts charges are definitely higher than what you find online, but I don't know what the standard industry mark-up is on appliance parts, so I can't advise you there.

I am very pleased with the quality of service received from Accurate Appliance, and most heartily recommend them to others in need of appliance repair.

My washing machine was making a terrible sound and I called Accurate Appliance as I have used them several times before. Herbert listened to my description of the sound it was making, asked a few questions and then scheduled a time to come look at it. He is always very timely with coming to repair our appliances. So, he diagnosed the problem and fixed the washer within an hour.

It went better than I expected. Herbert knew what the problem was, came in with the right parts and didn't stop until the job was done.

It was the first time I had used them. He is very honest and does a great job. He is very easy to work with.
