T & E PLUMBING & DRAIN IT

We have used T and E several times over the past few years, most recently in the fall. As usual, Tommy (owner) made himself available, came out in a timely manner, and successfully completed all repairs. T and E are priced fairly, always explain what they are doing and why, and offer advice for preventing the repair in the future. Nice job

Scheduled an appointment with Tommy, but then he had to cancel because a job went long, but told me he could come the next day. No big deal, because he told me with enough advance notice he had to cancel so I hadn't already left work. When he came, he was prompt, got in there, found out what the problem was in each situation quickly, ran out and bought supplies to fix everything then and there (was only gone for maybe 20 minutes) and came back and fixed everything with NO downtime. He basically ran from thing to thing to make sure he wasn't wasting time. But, he also went above and beyond to show us how to work the things he did - where the lever was to turn the outside faucet off in the winter, how to turn off our water heater when we are out of town (also was NOT pleased about how poorly our water heater was installed), and even gave us the tool to turn the whole house's water supply off and showed us how to use it. I will definitely be calling him for any of our plumbing needs in the future. He was wonderful and definitely worth the price (which wasn't too bad regardless).

I own a rental house and Tommy has come a couple of times to fix things. The first was when the former tenant moved and left several things clogged or broken. The second time he came was to unstop a drain. Both times he was punctual and thorough. He is very honest and will tell you if he doesn't think something needs fixing instead of charging you for unnecessary repairs. That alone makes him my go-to plumber from now on, for my own home and my rental house! He does his own work so you can be sure it's done right. He has been in business for over 20 years so he knows what he's doing. His prices seem very reasonable too.

Tommy Epps is amazing. He was on time both trips to our building, gave a free estimate, and was so HONEST. He told us things we didn't need done, that we had initially requested. It would have given him more money, but he puts honesty above all else. He also spent time a few things he didn't charge us for, and spent time at the end showing us how to work things so we wouldn't run into more problems. He was really amazing, not just the best plumber I've worked with but the best in the service industry in general!

Tommy stated he really did not think the sound we heard was dripping water, but rather expanding pipes reacting to the running water. we were given the option of having the walls opened up to search for a leak, but Tommy said he did not think it really necessary. A less honest provider might have encouraged the additional work and expense, but Tommy did not even charge us for the visit when he discovered there wasn't an actual leak. Such integrity it so be admired.

Did a gorgeous job. But in emergency cut-offs and labeled everything.

Very pleased with my experience. The problems were fixed quickly and efficiently. I was provided an excellent description of what needed to be repaired and why. My daughter was even given a tutorial on how to turn off important valves in case of an emergency.

I called T & E about a leaky shower nozzle on a Monday. They promptly called me back and said they would be back the next day. I told them it wasn't an emergency so to take their time. After a busy week for both of us, we finally we able to set a time on Friday. I received a phone call when they were on the way. They arrived as promised, easily diagnosed the problem. They even took the time to show me what was going on and what "could" be the issue. Fingers were crossed and with great finesse from them, they were able to get the stripped washers out and replace everything without tearing up my shower (which was what other plumbers said would probably have to be done). After this experience, I would not trust anyone other than T & E with my plumbing needs.

Very smoothly. He quickly opened up the septic tank, cleared the pipe and added an enzyme fluid his company uses to dissolve the septic waste but didn't need to pump the tank out. This helped keep the price down. He felt that kitchen grease down the drain may have caused the clog and advised not putting any kitchen scraps down the drain.

They were very professional and attentive. I had contacted another plumber who rudely told me that they were busy and could not get to me until next week. I spoke with Tommy who said the same thing but in a nicer manner. He ended up calling and coming the following day. Great work! I would definately use them again,

I got the names of several plumbers, including T & E, through people at work. When I checked the names with Angie's list, I was impressed by T & E's glowing reviews and decided to call them. They were able to work around my schedule and came the same afternoon. Tommy was very thorough in checking how the pipes were connected in the wall and taking the time to figure out which line was clogged. He worked very hard to clear the clog and then checked the main line (including the crawl space) to make sure that there were no leaks. He worked until 8:00 p.m., didn't charge overtime, and even gave me the Angie's list discount. I will definitely call him for ANY future plumbing needs!!

Easy to schedule. Tommy (the owner) arrived on time. He was polite and friendly. I had seen one leak under the sink and Tommy found another. He showed it to me so I know that he wasn't up-selling me. He had a new garbage disposal replacement (the unexpected 2nd leak) in his work truck, so no need to schedule a 2nd visit. He also gave me estimate for upgrading a 28 yr old water heater. Haven't done that yet, but I'll call T & E Plumbing when it finally goes! Don't know how to evaluate prices for Athens area (coming from large city in another state), but I thought price was reasonable, and work quality good to excellent.

Tommy, the owner, called before coming and arrived promptly. Professional appearance, very nice truck which had been well maintained. He was considerate of our home and careful to avoid causing any damage. Repairs were made quickly, professionally and effectively. The price for doing the repairs was very reasonable. Tommy had to leave our home in order to pick up a new spout insert and was sure to let us know that he only charges for the time he actually spends at our house. Great experience, I would confidently recommend Tommy (T&E Plumbing) to anyone.

Tommy Ellis get 2 thumbs up and more if I had them. It was not urgent and so we worked around his schedule. When he pulled some insulation from the shower drain, he wondered how it would have got there; he could have just left but decided to go in a crawl space which can barely take a person. He found some water had been gathering and decided to dig in the ground as he noticed a pipe going in it. Sure enough, in a construction project 3 years ago, the pipe had not been glued and Tommy put it together. He earned his keep. Not all plumbers would have wondered as to what was happening to the drain; we did have 2 people in the past look underneath who had seen the water collecting but did not feel concerned about it. And Tommy is not someone who is going to make up problems that are not there. He is a one man show and does have contract labor for digging and such but he may not be able to install bathrooms and fixtures which requires 2 people to do the job.

On my rental property, the tenant reported a badly leaking pressure relief value, which we had noticed previously but had apparently gotten worse. I also felt that the heater itself might need to be replaced. I used Angie's for the first time and sent a message through Angie's to T&E at about 5:00 pm, not really expecting a call until the next day. T&E called me about 90 minutes later. He was unable to report the next day, but arranged with my tenant and went to the house the next day. He recommended only changing the pressure relief valve and not the entire heater at this time. When someone realizes that you will accept their opinion on something that will make them more money and yet recommends against it, that greatly increases my trust in that individual or company and that is what happened here. They also checking the pressure in the house and noted it to be 120 psi which is way to high. Being an older house there was no pressure reducers so they recommended putting that in, which we did. It was a total of 238, paid with card, and it was all done that day and they discussed what was done with my tenant. It was wonderful and I have found my plumber for the Athens, GA area.

Contacted Tommy in a panic as toilets were backing up with black water. He advised me to first call the city which I did. Tommy came over with his son and checked that all the bad water was flushed out of the system. When checking this he found that two of the toilets were not working at their optimal and he fixed this problem. He advised us on how to turn off the water (very old system) and even left us with this big tool to have on hand in case the need arises. Finally, he advised us on how we might want to request a refund on part of our future water bill since we had to use so much water to take care of the issue. We felt very well taken care of and would definitely use T & E Plumbing again.

We called Tommy about installing a new garbage disposal and finding the source of leaks under the kitchen sink. He came the next day with the new disposal, found and repaired the source of our leaks, and installed a new sprayer. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant---and gave us an Angie's List 10% discount. We are very satisfied and would definitely call him again.

The garbage disposal was replaced & all kitchen lines were checked. The work took less than an hour and was done in as good of a manner as one could hope for. We would not hesitate to use T&E again.

It went very smoothly. We now have a 50 gallon heater with an easy turn off valve. Tommy explained how he turned the water up a bit and told me that if it was too hot or too cold, not to try to change it but to call and he would come out and adjust it. The work was done quickly, they took the old heater and the box the new one came in. I will certainly call Tommy for my plumbing needs in the future. He came recommended by my daughter, and she used him on the high recommendations of a friend of hers. I found him to be professional and friendly,easy to work with.

We called the plumber and he was there within 2 hours. He asked if I found him on Angie's List and offered us a 10% discount. He and a helper worked on the toilet for quite a while because a piece of the plastic tank part was really stuck on the bottom of the toilet. He was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely call him again.

I was looking for an unusual type of water heater installation. Tommy said that he did not think that he had enough experience with this type of project to take it on, but he referred me to someone else who is more familiar and will be out next week to give an estimate. Tommy was very helpful and professional during our conversation and I appreciated his candor.

Owner of the business arrived, along with 2 plumbers from Clarke County (just in case), with 15 minutes of my call. T & E obviously has a great relationship with the city plumbers because they hung around the whole time he worked on my line in case the problem was on their side. I can't express how well everything was handled.

Tommy brought the heaters to my home which had already been prewired for them. He installed the heaters adding cutouts and valves so that I could switch from using the small heaters to using the main house water heater should the need arise. The work was professional and he made sure that all was to my satisfaction before cleaning up the area and leaving.
