REPUBLIC WASTE MANAGEMENT

Trash pickup is kind of like cable service; you try to pick the least less desirable knowing that the service will still be subpar. I have two accounts with this company. At first, they were the best by far--no issues. Over the last year, they have become like the others. I added a second location recently and the amount of calls I've made to this company over issues is ridiculous. From now having a can dropped off for several weeks (and charging for it) and then after numerous calls to customer service, stating they had no record of the request for service to calling several times to get inaccurate charges corrected. The latest complain to add to the list is that they completely neglected my entire neighborhood's trash day. After calling and filing a report then waiting several days, I called back and was told the first customer service did not do the report correctly for the Operations inquiry. I was also told, aside from that, it would make little difference because they are simply "short on trucks and drivers". I asked for a week's refund by based on my recent interactions with customer service, I am doubtful as to whether the credit will really show up on my account.

We are on an auto draft and each month we get hit with a late payment fee, which requeired calling them, which they would reverse, but the auto draft would not take and this has happened for one year. Today we looked out and found that they have taken away our bins! Ridiculous.

Great service! They're punctual and come at the exact same time every week!!!

We're very happy so far. The price is lower than our previous company, and the office staff is efficient.

Republic offered us a good deal, but their service was terrible. They promised us RecycleBank points, which we stopped receiving after the first month. On two separate occasions my husband saw them dump the recycling into the trash truck. When I called to complain, they told me that surely he was mistaken because they send around two different trucks, on for recycling and one for trash (???). I was late on a payment and they stopped service and charged 35$ to reinstate service. They misBilled me and told me they would send a new invoice, which they did not do. I'm going back to f4. They cost more but there was never a hassle. You get what you pay for even with trash pickup.
