The work is beautiful and classy. The attention to detail is what impressed me the most. Brant and Greg are trustworthy, friendly, and meticulous. I have another project scheduled and will continue calling AK Remodeling & Design for any other future work. Brant can do most anything!

The job went very well. The contractor completed the job exactly as he described within the time frame he said. He and his crew put in a solid days work every day throughout the process. The owner took a personal interest of our needs. He also accompanied us while shopping for the cabinets and countertop. The job was completed correctly on time and within budget. My wife loves her new kitchen! We will defiantly use AK Remodeling again.

I have decided not to use them. The repairs I described and would like and their estimates are out of my financial range. I will have to re-assess how I am going to handle the problem.

They are on Angie's List and they were pretty good. My biggest complaint was their timing. They seemed to take their time with getting a schedule in place and getting back to me. Once they started they remained on schedule, but it just took a while to get the scheduling done. It took several emails from me asking them when they could start. There was an issue with the cabinets coming in late from their cabinet manufacturer. Also trying to reorder cabinets was difficult because of a defect and it took at least another month to get those. Their work was fine and they were professional, but timing was my biggest complaint with them. I think they were really flexible with letting me make changes to certain things or add in certain things at the last minute. They were pretty helpful with questions and things I had problems with including changes or making sure that it was the way that I wanted it to be. The overall experience once they got in here and started working was good. They were pretty fast with getting everything done because the whole remodel pretty much took two weeks until the majority was completed. I would say to people who want to hire them to work out their time ahead of time and get a schedule from them before they sign and give them the deposit. After I gave them the deposit it took several emails for them to get back in touch with me as far as when they would start. I advise people to get a start date ahead of time. I feel like they are trustworthy and professional. It was just unfortunate that they did not do the scheduling as well as I wanted them to. I did not feel like my own schedule was taken into consideration. They have quality suppliers and they were pretty good at telling me where the quality and standards lie with what I am ordering and what my budget is.

Ok at least he was honest about no being able to come for a few weeks.

Called AK, they came out, and measured, and I told them what I wanted. Waited three weeks for estimate, called them back. Got Nowhere. They never called back to provide an estimate, never acknowledged my messages, never told me they didn't' want the job. Nothing. They might do good work, but I don't know how they get work, because they don't follow through, and they surely won't be doing it at my house! Thanks for nothing guys!

The project was projected to take three weeks but ended up taking five due to no fault of AK. The delay was due to the cabinet manufacturer's delay and we were compensated for the delay. Thank you Brant for taking care of this. Each day I would 'inspect" the day's work and would leave a punch list for the workers for the following day. They were great about tackling the list daily. I have a lot of respect for Brant's opinion and his experience. I would use this company again. You can see the final project on their website. Beautiful work!

I did not like them. They are okay people, but the job that they had done did not really resolve the problem. They did not really stretch the carpet tight enough. So now after they had tack it down, you could see the gap between the carpet and the edge of the wall. The biggest thing is that I had squeaks on the floor, and he pulled up the whole carpet. He really did not know what it was, and he just pound some nails there and put the carpet back down, but the problem is still there. They caulked the kitchen where the counter meets the backsplash and they did not do the job. The price was good.

The owner Brant Batzinger was very professional, polite and responsive. He showed a lot of interest in our project and was very pleasant to work with. The pricing estimate was higher than most of the quotes we got for our project.

They did an excellent job. They worked closely with me and my insurance company and made the project flow along very quickly. They arranged that I could have a working toilet each evening. The room looks wonderful. I would use this company again.

He came by and looked at the project. He said he would send over an estimate and we never got one.

He never contacted me with the estimate. I never called him back because we lost interest after not hearing from him in two weeks.

Brant and his crew did a very good job and we are pleased with the finished product.

We are having 2 bathrooms and our kitchen remodel. They have given us the blueprints of the remodel and provided a great estimate. They left everything with us so we can really take our time.

They did forget to put the caulking on the window. It was not a huge deal to have them come all the way back for such a minor thing. They do seem like a good enough company to fix it if I asked them to. Other than that, they were great. They were very professional and polite.

Tried to get an amended quote but was cancelled on three times. Finally moved to another contractor.

Brant's team (Jeff, et al) came in and knocked out a few projects for us in less time than budgeted for. We needed a new vanity installed in a space that was exactly the width of the unit, which required cutting off the sides of the granite vanity top, removing door frames, etc. They got the unit in with effectively no damage to the walls, put the medicine cabinet up, the light fixture over that, fixed the plumbing that was broken coming from the wall, and corrected my shoddy workmanship on our bathroom sink and toilet. I would definitely recommend them and would absolutely use them again.

They were very good in getting back to me and setting up the appointment. They were very thorough in their walk through through the estimate. They were very professional. The bottom line is that they were not really looking into what I wanted. I am sure they would have done a great job if I was ready to spend so much money. I would call them again in the future.

I liked that they showed up when they said they were going to and they did the work and left. I would absolutely use them again.

Cancelled first two appointments and was very hard to schedule again. My schedule was as busy as theirs, but I felt that new business was last on their list. They did call back and try to reschedule, but after two cancellations, multiple phone calls to try to schedule around them, I had used up enough time.

I called Case Handymen and was greeted by a very polite and professional receptionist. I was able to get an appointment right away, to have Brant come to my home, because I needed to have a small amount of cedar siding replaced. I was eager to get the work completed quickly. Brant was all salesperson and very little substance. He came to my home and gave me a whole routine about why I should hire his company. There expertise, reputation, proof of insurance, etc. I was told that I would have an estimate in three days time. I received no estimate and proceeded to call every other day for the next three weeks, until a verbal estimate was finally relayed by the receptionist during one of my calls. - $11,000. Yes. You read that right. Eleven thousand dollars, for 15 boards of siding.Having grown up in the community where this business is located, I will now be sure to warn every single person I know. I have had reason to do business with many different types of contractors over the years. I have not ever had a single professional contractor of any type behave this unprofessionally. In fact, I have not ever been treated so unprofessionally by anyone, in any line of business. Brant is exceptional, alright. What kind of disconnect does it take, to place one's business on Angie's List, and then go to the home of a person who tells you outright, that they found you on Angie's List, and then not even take 30 seconds to return a phone call?

When they came out to check out the house I thought things went well. The gentleman was attentive and pointed out additional work that we might want to consider. I was and am still surprised that we never even got an estimate. No phone call. No letter. Nothing.

We spent about $6000. Our experience with them was good. They showed up on time. They also corrected any problems I showed them.

Arrived when promised, finished work in the amount of time they said it would take, for less than the original cost estimate, and we are very happy with the results!

He didn?t even let me invite him in. He gave me his card and said call me if you need me. He was very snotty and didn?t even give me an opportunity to talk to him about my project before he turned and left.
