Description of Work: Installed 3 Skylights. Came on time and after correcting an error in skylight location he did an acceptable job. I called them a couple of months later to check and if needed repair the roof around the chimney. NO show, no call. I called and they didn't return my call. I can only guess they didn't want to drive 40mls for an estimate. Fixed myself.

 + -1 moreThe roof looks good, however, after closer inspection I found hundreds if not thousands of old and new roofing nails in my gutters my go all the was around my house (4 sides) Since I did not notice this until months afterwards along with the nails were all kinds of debris that the nails caught, ie leaves, mud, roofing paper. I am still finding nails in my driveway and in my yard. These roofing nails have costs me 2 flat tires thus far. What kind of roofing company leaves such a mess behind?
Description of Work: The previous review I gave was a huge mistake on my part. I hired a contractor who in turn hired different companies to do various work on my house. I did not know the companies names so when I received a request from Angie's List to write a review on the work done by this roofing company I "assumed" my contractor must have provided this companies name to Angie's List. Well, after writing this review, the owner of the company came over to my house yesterday and explained it was not his company. Infact, I had been recommended to use his company by a good friend, I got an estimate from him, BUT my contractor went with one of his own contacts. The owner of this company, Howell Roofing, was very understanding about my screw-up and even offered to fix my gutter problems despite my bad review given to his company on mistake. I plan on using Howell Roofing in the near future and recommend anyone else needing roofing work do the same.

 + -1 moreThey crew arrived on Friday, March 15, 2013 just after noon. They did not hesitate but went straight to work and worked steadily until dark began to fall (6:30 OR 7 PM). They said they would be back Saturday Morning and as promised were on the roof working before 8 o'clock. They worked through the day until about 6:30 pm. They promised to return on Monday morning to complete the job. Promptly at 8'o'clock Monday morning they returned and worked through the day to complete the job. They even came into the house to sweep up the small amount of debris that came into the house when they replaced the skylights. We are totally satisfied with the appearance of the job. Mr. Howell returned on Tuesday to present the bill and make sure that we were happy with the job and the conduct of the crew. We just can say enough about how nice and thoughtful all of the crew were to us.
Description of Work: Howell Roofing did an excellent job replacing the existing roof and two skylights. They were prompt arriving when they said they would. They were professional, courtesy and cleaned up all the debris that fell into the yard including the nails. I feel confident recommending this company to any of my friends and family. Grade A from this household!

 + -1 moreTook us about a week to get adjuster out here. Work was done on time and professionally. They worked very hard from 7:00 in the morning to 2:15 when they finished. We were well pleased and would refer to anyone.
Description of Work: Complete roof on house and porch, yard cleaned up from debris and nails. Repaired flashing on eave of porch, replaced wet wood and explained all work that was being done.

 + -1 moreArrived when expected and stayed on job until done. Two days. I was presented a bill on completion that was higher than the estimate. The estimate was held up until Mr Howell could get the price of the wood for the repair and the cost of the wood was supposed to be included in the estimate. I paid the additional $118.00 for the wood but just want to let everyone know to watch for this sort of thing from Mr. Howell. Overall, good job.
Description of Work: Replaced roof and repaired rotted wood.

 + -1 moreSomebody told me they are the best roofers. They were licensed and bonded, which was an important thing. They followed through me. I got an estimate. They did a good work. I would highly recommend them. They did an excellent work as far as it looks and when they finished. They cleaned up very well and that's a big thing. I don't want to go outside and have nails as well as shingles all over my house. They did a good job with that. I did get their estimate and if somebody would have been cheaper, I would rather have them for the quality of their work and reputation.
Description of Work: Howell Roofing Co did a completely new roof in October. There had been just one area that was weeping.
