Description of Work: Added Freon to my a/c, performed yearly maintenance, checked for leaks, repaired some wiring and cleaned out a/c

Description of Work: July 2013 I had to replace my 2 separate units that were 3 ton each...I was told that I would be better off replacing them with a 5 ton, 4 zone unit...was told it would be more cost effective for my electric bill...unfotuneately, that has not been the case as the system has not worked properly on a consistent basis. I have had to call them numerous times in the past 3 years to find out why it keeps freezing the coils in the air handler and the outside unit. I have had water pour down thru my ceilings twice from the overflow pan...I set the temperature for 72, it never reaches that degree...it will get to 74, then start climbing, which causes the unit to run constantly. At one point last August, Hal the owner admitted he could not get the unit to work right, that maybe his only option was to remove the system and refund my money...I told him I did not want to do that, that I just wanted it fixed and if the air handler was defective, replace it. It got to the point of me having to call them so many times, that the office people would not pick up when they saw my number on caller ID. I have withheld a final payment to them in hopes that it would make them respond to my calls and come fix the unit...well that did not work either. I will continue to withhold this payment until I find out how much it is going to cost me to have someone else fix Dixie's errors. |I have had 3 separate companies come to review the system...they have all said the same thing, 1) 2 separate units should have been installed ( since my house is 3,244 sq ft. and they took 6 tons away, replaced with 5 tons which causes the new unit to be maxxed out), some of the duct work is installed incorrectly, 3) The air handler should have had a variable speed fan since it is a 4 zone system, but it is a single speed fan.. |Trane company who makes the system that was installed have been trying to help me solve my issues. |I have since been able to locate a proven CERTIFIED Trane specialist that is trying to help repair the mess in the attic and to get my system working correctly. |Dixie's customer service is horrible...I am an ESTREMELY unhappy and unsatisfied PAST customer of Dixie Air...I will never refer them to anyone.
