Andrew was extremely thorough in his work. He gave me very detailed reports and completed all the work we requested in a timely and professional manner.

They were prompt, courteous, efficient, and I would highly recommend them. They were a bit pricey, but I know that I can depend on them. They were able to replace my unit in about 6 hours, and recycled the old one.

I would benefit by having a better more energy efficient system, while they on the other hand, would make more money. Once I had made my decision, everything proceeded smoothly. I have what I wanted and I am satisfied with the results.

Technician told us after the leak search that we needed a new indoor coil. That plus 2-3 pounds of freon would be $1,787-$2,367. Totally pushing for a new system Took it under advisement. It IS 11 years old. Solicitated a 2nd opinion. After all, we had just spent $640 on a non-refundable new filter, motor and leak search. The 2nd company has been voted #1 in the Athens Banner Herald Reader's Choice Awards for 7 years running. New company tightened the leaking Schrader valve (missed in the bi-annual inspection of 2 weeks before as well as the motor replacement?) and the pressure went up. Now we were only short about a pound of freon. Not uncommon in an 11 year old system. New company did not charge to look for the leak in the inner coil. Included in the service agreement. Their yearly service agreement is $15 cheaper than Jordan. He used two different instruments and spent about good long time looking for a leak. He did not find one. Liked the 2nd opinion better, of course - realizing that the system has a limited life. Hoping we have bought at least a year or 2. The sales pressure was non existent with the new company. Wrap up on Jordan Air? I have really liked the technicians and especially the people I talk to on the phone at Jordan. Nice folks - especially the last several years. But I have always felt high pressure from the technicians for additional services. Kind of like at the Toyota place. I would gather they are paid commissions on these services. Would totally recommend a 2nd opinion with expensive repairs.

Was advised that we could probably get a few more years from existing system by fixing some vent and air circulation issues. Employees went above and beyond expected services and treated us like family. I confirmed the system replacement price with another professional and was advised that it was a good deal and definitely in line with the going rates.

Went about as well as one could hope. The installation itself was well done, timely and very professional - as always good crew with Jordan Air. Consulted with Jason on the system selection, negotiations, scheduling, etc. He was VERY patient and informative when explaining the ins/outs of the equipment, answering questions, etc. throughout the process. Jordan Air and the Trane systems were not the lowest of the estimates I received, and not everyone encouraged replacing the ductwork. Jordan has for many years provided good service and repairs on my old system. That, and the overall strong reviews on the Trane pump, led to my selection of Jordan Air. Old system was 15yo 10 SEER builder grade unit. Essentially diagnosed with a short in the system which was causing the unit/thermo to blow. Made repair, but without significant work and part replacements, couldnt ensure the problem would not persist. The initial fix lasted a couple days, but noted it could hold for a an hour or a month or two, but no guarantees given and made a subsequent return call two days later. Repaired again with no charge, but encouraged us to meet with someone about new system. Met with Jason couple days later, who inspected system, dug into our needs, and presented different options/pricepoints. Obviously any efficiency improvements were desired, but also had concerns about air quality given allergies in the home and system noise. There was mold present around/in the handler, so simply cleaning existing ductwork couldn't guarantee there was no mold within the ducts. Additionally the existing system was extremely noisy when blowing full force...air noise rather than the actual pump. We had several in-floor returns and was explained that much of the air noise was caused by the design of the existing ducts. For those two reasons, opted to redesign and replace the existing ductwork. Opted to go with the Trane XL16i 2.5 ton single stage heat pump and matched Hyperion GAM handler. Removed in-floor returns and replaced with a single 5" media filter. Still too early to tell about efficiency or cost savings from the old system, but performance has been great so far. Both the unit and air noise have been essentially eliminated.

The unit sold was very over sized, it was for an area of 7500 sq ft. With the unit being installed to treat the first floor of the house, it blew hot air through the ducts and had no effect on high humidity in the basement. The moisture problem only got worst as the crawl space was completed sealed. This resulted in causing our hardwood floors to "cup" and now need to be sanded and refinished. Jordan did take the dehumidifier back and refunded my money. To properly correct the the problem the work was done by Trotter Company, which entailed encapsulating the crawl space, placing a 70 pint dehumidifier ($245) and unsealing the crawl space to let the air flow in the basement. No more humidity problems. When I spoke with Donnie Jordan regarding this problem, his reaction was to attempt to bully, insult and intimidate, hoping I would disappear. Donnie Jordan does't know how to handle customer problems and is a ....... I would never use recommend Jordan AC to anyone for service or to purchase a unit. There are many other HVAC companies in Athens to call.

We didn't hire Jordan but did get an estimate. We were told all of our duct work needed to be replaced and the sales pitch was heavy. We were tempted by tax credits, but the required work to get those credits wouldn't have paid for itself in the long run. Jordan Air was the 2nd highest quote we received. I was later informed by another HVAC company (unprompted mind you) that Jordan Air has purchased a duct work company so they really push that aspect of their work. I would advise that if you hear you need new ducts to get a second and 3rd opinion as these rarely need to be replaced. Also, replace your existing unit with the same tonnage (3.0 with 3.0 ton). Going bigger or smaller will likely be less efficient either by over drying the air or causing the unit to run too often. Finally, unless you are going to be in your home for another 5-10 years, buying a multi-stage unit is probably not worth the extra cost. Hope this helps!

Their price seemed comparable; I was able to use some government issued coupons for getting an high efficiency system. They have been reliable and they take the little steps like making sure that they don't track dirt into the house. They give me advice when I need it. I have a yearly contract with them for maintenance.

Jordan air service tech responded to our call to fix A/C system that wasn't cooling properly. Upstairs and downstairs systems have been leaking for years now, and we were limping along having one or the other serviced every season. Tech politely recommended that we talk to a sales rep for Jordan about getting a new system -- there was no hard sell at all. We've used Jordan to service our systems before, and have had the same recommendation made from time to time. Again, never a hard sell. Tech also let us know that Jordan was not the cheapest dealer/installer available to us, but he believed they were the best. We called and Jason came to visit. He offered us a financing plan that fit our budget, and recommended that we get a fancy, high efficiency unit for upstairs, where cooling in the summer was the biggest issue, and a less expensive unit for downstairs. He said the downstairs ducting was in good shape and was installed really well all those years ago, but that the upstairs ducting had some issues that were adding to our discomfort in the summer. After speaking with him, and discussing it ourselves after he left, we decided it was finally time to replace our leaky 22-year old systems. The installation crews were very professional, and the installation proceeded over 2 days. Jordan set it up so that we were never without A/C outside of their actual time on the premises. The second day installation went slower than planned because the crew was short a man, but they stayed until every last bit of the work and cleanup had been done, and done right. The system has worked almost perfectly since day one. The only snag was a bad thermostat upstairs that was registering several degrees hotter than the actual air temp, and so Jordan replaced it with a new one -- no charge for labor or parts. Jason came out to inspect the system's integrity and operation 2 weeks after the installation, with positive results. In theory our electric bill should be lower than last summer, but I don't have enough data yet to conclusively say one way or the other. Regardless, we are much more comfortable upstairs and downstairs than we have been in a long time.

I knew that whatever I'd done wrong would be an easy fix, but I was frustrated and was afraid of doing more harm by continuing to fiddle around with it myself, so I decided to call for service. Jordan Air was the only company that could send someone out that day, so they were my choice by default, but having now dealt with them once, they'd be my first choice to call again in the future. The tech was on-time, professional, and didn't make me feel dumb about what I'd done. The flat rate was pretty steep for what was for the tech a simple job, but I don't think it was more than what other companies charge, so I can't fault them for that. Our HVAC unit is only a couple of years old so I'm hoping we won't need major work anytime soon, but if something does go wrong (hopefully not at my own hands again!), I'll call Jordan Air.

I felt like my air conditioner wasn't blowing as cold as normal. They told me what was wrong and what needed to be replaced. I even purchased a maintenance agreement. They misaligned the drainage port and I had a leak in the walls. They came back many times and they finally installed piping so the drainage port would go outside. I never had the problem until they came out. I felt like no one was forthcoming on what actually happened.

Our tech came out. Very Friendly. Found the problem which was the tubing that goes out side to drain was stopped up. The unit is in the basement that has been enclosed for 2 rooms so the tubing goes up through the ceiling and then outside.. He found where it was kinked and put new tubing and it worked great. He could have charged us for the new pump he put on but when he found out that was not the problem he removed it and did not charge us. If he was dishonest he could have ripped us off without us even knowing. I would highly recommend them and will use them again if need be. Awesome company.

Our technician's name was James. He did a great job briefing us on what he was going to do, and before he started he confirmed that we approved of the $79 diagnostic fee. After the diagnosis, he made some recommendations on how to maintain the system's peak performance, as well as some minor repairs that we might consider. Due to the age of the system (21 years), he also suggested that we consider replacement. Most importantly, he did not try to hard-sell us on any of the recommendations that he made. In fact, his presentation could not have been more low-key. We'd read horror stories online about HVAC technicians, salespersons and companies whose only goal seemed to be to rip off the customer, so we were prepared for anything. James was a most pleasant and welcome surprise! He is a very professional technician and he represented Jordan Air, Inc. very well. We ultimately chose to have him only recharge the refrigerant for now. Again, he did not try to pressure us in any way to authorize any of his additional recommendations. For any HVAC professionals reading this review, we know that recharging the refrigerant is not a long-term solution, but it gives us time to evaluate his other recommendations. The diagnosis and recharging took about 2 1/2 hours. Part of that time was spent answering our questions about why he made the recommendations he did, and why our system was under-performing. He did an excellent job answering the questions thoroughly and knowledgeably. Based on James' performance, I would not hesitate to recommend Jordan Air to friends and family.

It went great they came and did everything they said they would do. They are now our regular Maintenance company for our Air Conditioning unit.

I used this because of Angie's list's good reviews. The sale representative was nice and patient. Price was reasonable. I like Trane system. This sale rep gave me the most detailed information so I felt comfortable. They came on time. The service engineers were very professional. Things went well, until the last testing that the system won't started. It took another hour to figure out why. The system worked. The problem I have with the company to let me not to sue this company again because they try to sell the service contract which I do not want to get. It is very likely that they price the parts up and discount the parts only if you are the maintenance club member, which costs over $150 per year and not too much of benefit. In addition, I called them once for checking other problem. The service guy came and found the problem with $80 service fee, but never called back for scheduling or parts quote. Sorry, I think I will go to other company to get me cheaper price.

The technician arrived on time, he was very polite and personable and efficient. He explained the services and equipment well.

The estimate was very thorough. The estimator spent over an hour examining the house and the system and explained the issues. He outlined several services that could assist with our problems and left a written detailed estimate. The crew arrived as scheduled very early. They worked all day and were friendly and efficient. Their work was neat and the gentlemen kept us informed of the progress as they went along. At the very end of the day they hit a slight snag as they had an incorrect part and did not have a correct size filter but, came to us with a pending solution and we were pleased with all that was accomplished. They were ordering the new part but made sure the system worked before they departed. At the end of the day, when the work was complete, Adrian explained the new system and gave us tips on how to run our units efficiently. We now have a drier more comfortable home in very hot and humid Georgia. All in all it was a great experience.

We needed to replace a 14-year old air conditioner and began the search with several estimates from various local HVAC companies. We stumbled on Jordan Air through Lowe's as they are the providers for Lowe's in Madison. From the first visit to give us an estimate to the total installation, Jordan Air was exceptional. They were extremely professional, up-front about what we needed and willing to work within our budget. They were unable to install for 2 weeks, but made our old air conditioner work (at their expense) until the new one was installed. We could not have been more pleased with the installation. Again, professionalism reigned supreme! They also had an extremely difficult job as the original installers of our system took a lot of short cuts (installed the air conditioner and THEN built the knee wall around it in our attic.) They never complained, but just reassured us that they were on top of it. "Each job has its own challenges," they said. The finished installation is beautiful...easy to approach and correctly installed. Jordan Air is a gift to our community!
