The Paint Doctor

I got The Paint Doctor's number from a friend who used to build houses and Virgil was her painter. Virgil was one of 4 painters I had called for estimates. He came round a few days after I had called and on first impressions I thought he was professional and his attitude towards what we wanted done was open and agreeable. He gave his opinion on the types of finishes/paints we could use which was very helpful. He was not pushy with his advice or service and I got a good feeling about him. Virgil warned us he was quite busy at the time and it would be several weeks before he could start. It took a little time to get the written estimate back and I did have to call him again, he came around and we set a date to start. The estimate was not the cheapest or the most expensive but I feel it was the most fair and honest out of the 4. Plus he was the only one to put it in writing. I supplied the paint. Virgil and his team were just great, they moved all the furniture covered everything and just got on with the job! They had to use scaffolding for the high ceilings, which was not a problem for them. The team of 3 worked hard and finished in 2 days. I felt they respected my home, were very courteous and took great care to protect the carpets/floors and furniture. Everything they had moved they put back in place properly. I was very pleased with the quality of work, 2 coats on every wall, no drips on the trim, I could not fault it. The areas that required straight lines or colors meeting, where your eye would be drawn to, were painted just perfectly!! I like the fact they checked with me periodically to make sure I liked/agreed with the work going on. I would trust Virgil and his team?s ability to do any painting job.
