+ -1 moreSince it was done no more sounds from the attic and the squirells are gone. All entry ways have been taken care of. Very professional with explanation of what was done. Very confident of the work.
Description of Work: Closed up the entry ways the squirells were using to gain access to the attic. Very professional.

+ 1 moreI have never been more pleased with any contractor I've ever used.. Maurice showed up on time, worked unflaggingly all day, cleaned up the clutter each day before leaving, and went far above and beyond the job we initially asked him to perform. He added many architectural flourishes without charge, accepted changes in good humor, and was gracious in all his ways. Anyone would go far before finding such a capable and honest builder/contractor. I admire him as much as a man as I do as a builder.
Description of Work: I used Maurice and his sons on a number of occasions over the years between 2005-2010. He has completely renovated the entire property, including adding 500+ sf of living space and a two car carport and a 12x25 storage room with a floored attic space, with a covered walkway between the storeroom/carport and the house. In addition, he remodeled our kitchen and replaced the flooring in the whole house. He insulated our attic, replaced the roof, rewired the electrical panel, paved a lengthy driveway and added a bath. In all of this, his work was professional, and performed in a timely fashion for a price that I felt was cheating himself. I actually still feel guilty abou paying so little for so much. As a Christian theologian, I can say with conviction that Maurice and his family are all genuine Christians, exhibiting a Christian character such as is very rare in today's business world. I gladly recommend him to everyone, and would certainly call upon him again if I have need of his services. He is that rare gem that one occasionally finds hidden in a field.

+ 1 moreI think I answered that above :) Maurice and his sons did all the work themselves. He also installed a new roof on the house. There were but few days when he didn't show up - emergency repairs for other customers, etc. He was at work on time, and took very few breaks. The old carport is now a 400sf office. I couldn't be more pleased with either his workmanship or his personal interaction with my family and myself.
Description of Work: Maurice enclosed our carport, raising the floor to the level of the rest of the house, built a two-bay carport with a covered walkway to the house, added a utility shed on the back of the new carport, and a large storeroom on the end of the carport nearest the house, with attic access for storage. He replaced all the flooring in the house, insulated the attic, custom built both a hutch and a pull-out pantry. He also added a dining nook by extending a kitchen wall outward. He also replaced an aging fuse box with a 200 amp breaker box. His attention to detail was superb; his knowledge of his craft was amazing; his willingness to make changes was surprising. Overall, I would give him an A+ rating. He professes to be a Christian, and certainly is. While the cost may seem excessive, given the work he did, I felt like I was cheating him.
