Purged Cleaning Services

We had a crew of 3 people come to clean our house for 2 hours and 40 minutes equaling 8 hours total. We have a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house. Admittedly, our master bathroom was very dirty and required extra attention so I ended up purchasing an extra half hour so the house could be completed. However, there were quite a few things that were missed and some unnecessary comments made by one of the crew members. The following are reasons why I would not use this company again: 1) The crew was an hour early. 2) I am missing an Apple iPhone charger that was plugged into a wall. 3) I overheard one crew member telling another crew member how horrible our bathroom was, that it was so bad she even took pictures. How unprofessional! While I agree our bathroom was bad, should that really be discussed in my home with me in the next room???? 4) That same crew member made multiple comments to me about the bathroom before leaving. Point made, why make multiple comments? I'm aware our house needed cleaning, that's why I hired you to clean it! I don't need a lecture! 5) Whatever was used on our hardwoods for the whole downstairs left a horrible cloudy looking film. Therefore, I had to reclean them. 6) None of our overhead fans were dusted. 7) Our stairs were not swept. 8) Two sets of glass doors were not cleaned, and clearly had smudges on them. 9) I purchased extra time and was told everything was completed. So these missed items could not have been from time running out. Overall, the cleaning was good. However, there were too many missed items for me to give them a great rating. Add on the missing charger, and rude comments about my house and I will not be using them again.

We had purchased 8 man hours to clean our house. Our specific instructions were to pay extra attention to the kitchen and the bathroom (including cabinets) in addition to of course cleaning the rest of the house. Please bear in mind, that we just had our carpets steam cleaned last week, so our carpets are already good to go. They sent 3 people who worked for 2 hours 40 minutes each and managed to only get the kitchen and the bathrooms cleaned. I only have 2.5 bathrooms to begin with. They took apart a knob from our cooking range and didn't fix it back properly. Then there's another part lying on my kitchen counter that I don't know where they pulled out from or where its supposed to go. All this and they didn't even clean the kitchen floor. The rest of the house is of course untouched, because apparently we refused to buy additional time. Why would I purchase additional time at $2.50 a minute from a company who didn't use their time efficiently? How does it take 8 man hours to clean kitchen cabinets, counter tops, an island and 2.5 bathrooms? Again, there were no piles of dishes left out for them to do that might have taken up their time. There was nothing in their way. They were just inefficient. I want my money back!

BELIEVE ALL THE REVIEWS - THEY ARE THAT GOOD!!!! I don't know how else to say it!!! I was getting fed up with my existing service - no shows and mediocre work, and I know I stayed too long because I simply did not have time to find a new place. Well, I finally went to Angie's list, and I was really surprised to see so many amazing reviews for Purged Cleaning. In fact, I secretly wondered if the reviews were all real? Anyway, I called and spoke to Tina, and she came the same day for an estimate. She said all the right things, but again, I've been here before. Today, they came for my first cleaning. Now, keep in mind I have had cleaning service for many, many years, each week in fact for the last two years. It was one person, and he was done with the whole house in less than two hours. Tina showed up with another person, and they both cleaned my house for FIVE HOURS. Yes, five hours for two people, and this was not a deep clean. It was amazing and upsetting all at the same time - I finally had confirmation that my house was indeed not getting cleaned each week prior; they did a half-a** job. On the flip side, Tina made my house look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. She found every crack and crevice and cleaned everything!!! My shower looked brand new...even my son looked at it and said "Oh my gosh!!! I have never seen the shower look so good...can she come every day???" :-) She cleared the hair out of my sink drain and now it does not get clogged; she even vacuumed the suede ottoman I have in my bedroom. I took pictures and sent them to my husband...I have never had a service that was this detailed!!! I immediately signed up for regular service; I am beyond pleased. Another great thing is that Tina is genuinely a really, really nice person - so very pleasant and friendly, which makes everything even better. I asked her to leave a stack of her business cards to give my friends...I would love for my friends to feel the way I do today!! Thank you Tina and team!!!!!!!

She and her helper were excellent! They cleaned things I never would have cleaned. Very detail oriented. Will use her again.

Very thorough; excellent job. Everything was absolutely spotless.

They did pretty good with my 85 year old mother's house. The bathrooms needed real detail. The rest of the living area was not too far behind. They really improved the first impression of walking into my mothers house. Toilets, tile, sink, same in the Kitchen, carpets, and a MAJOR dusting (mom has a lot of things on a shelf). I could have used twice the time but they really took it off my back. I'll call on these folks again. EXTRA: The women were real sweet to my wheel chair mother. She wasn't too game for this but I forced it on her. She ended up loving all the gals. She received hugs and a little conversation, too. The B above is probably my fault for not paying for more hours. Again, I need them again. Just have to get around to it so I can be there.

GREAT QUALITY AND COMMUNICATION...VERY EXPENSIVE THOUGH...STILL, THEY GAVE ME A "HUGE" DISCOUNT

Set Up: First, this area was recovering from the deluge of Hurricane Joaquin and looking at additional heavy storms coming through the following weekend. Second, a wedding reception was to be hosted in our backyard that weekend and the bridal couple would arrive the night before Purge was scheduled. Third, we'd recently moved into the house which had been empty for over a year and we'd been unable to have the house deep cleaned before we moved in and began painting. The Purge team arrived on time, walked through to established our expectations, and then set about accomplishing as much as possible within the time frame. They not only were able to get the tubs and shower stain-free and sparkling (I had literally tried everything with no luck), the Purged ladies also noticed the old black carpet adhesive on the foyer wood floors and removed most of it, cleaned all the tile floors and counters to perfection and more. They did all this while on their own as we dealt with surprises: the groom's swollen eye [= emergency doctor appointment] and a huge wedding dress repair [seamstress meeting] and finding a possible alternative party location. In the end, they worked an agreed hour of overtime to make some headway on the kitchen. They worked with two large dogs roaming around, tent installers outside and sometimes, none of us at home - but they made the right decisions without our input. Purged went above and beyond.

Do let customer know when modifying details of a job. Expected 3 workers for total 3 hours. Got 2 workers instead, which meant they stayed for 1.5 hours. This works for the total work hours expected, but delayed my other planned activities for the day. It was fortunate I could delay. Company should have let us know before the team arrived. The cleaning was fine.

Were very accommodating for scheduling. Called to reschedule due to changes in their staff. ( I honestly cant remember if purchased 2hr or 3hr by way of Angie's list ). I was a little miffed at their method. I said that I wanted them to dust, vacumn, and do bathrooms. These were my priorities. There was a young woman in the kitchen who really did a good job polishing things up but that was all she did. They did not stay the additional hour because were scheduled to be somewhere else. Said I needed a deep cleaning which I completely agree with. Five dogs and my son living in the house and me not being there a majority of the time, I knew it was a challenge. But I was willing to do what it took beyond the time purchased. Leader said I needed deep cleaning and could not clean the master bathroom because it would take the entire time so they would have to come back. I know it was dirty, but 2 hrs to clean it with 2 people working??? I meekly agreed and said do what you can. When they left there was dust all over the surfaces downstairs. Floors were swiftered and damp mopped. I really don't know what all they did upstairs in my house for two hours. I think I will try someone else who can better take on the challenge. Purge seems to be a good choice for regular cleaning in houses that are more a standard, easy clean. This is not my house! The kitchen looked great. I wish I had gotten the young woman's name who did the kitchen, I would hire her.

Cost is $135 for one hour of cleaning by 3 people. When they show up, they do a decent job. However, one group pointed out the mistakes another group of cleaners (within the same cleaning group) had made. The visit scheduled for today, 12/21 was scheduled between 11-1 and it is currently 4:16pm and they have not showed up. This is the 3rd visit in a row this has happened. I have placed a call to them but it has not been returned. In general, I would say they are unreliable. We are looking for a new service.

Awful. Very disorganized company. Cancelled on me twice only a couple days before expected service. Not easy to schedule cleaners or time off from work. This company does not know how to manage time or clients. i am contact Angie's list for full refund.

My house is new and already clean. We depended on them and did not look after them. At the end of 3 hours we were surprised to see that one of the two ladies cleaned only kitchen cabinets doors and the cabinet tops. The other lady at lease cleaned 4 bathrooms, which were already clean.

I did not micro manage them. Just let the 2 girls put stuff where they believed it should be. Unfortunately doing that made it hard to find some items, but that was on me. Their main purpose was to arrange things so you can park and use the garage, and they most definitley did that. I already had everything taken out of the garage and they just had to put back. I didnt want to run into overtime and with these two girls it wasnt a problem. They finished up before time was up and asked if I needed anything else to be done. This saved me lots of time, and energy. They were both very polite, and professional. I would definitely use them again.

Six hours of cleaning included three people for two hours = 6 hours (fair enough). The owner of the company was awesome and squeezed us in on a Friday evening (since we had a Saturday event the next day). One person was in our kitchen for two hours, one person was in our downstairs bathroom and foyer for two hours, and one person was in the dining, living, and family rooms for two hours. Our goal was to have our downstairs cleaned pretty well for our party the next night (it's about 2,000 square feet). My wife said they were very friendly and professional. While I understand that our house needs a "deep cleaning," it just seemed like more should have been done in these six hours. Our stainless appliances and granite countertops never looked better (Yay!), but the cabinets were not wiped down nor was the inside of the microwave. I really wish they made a better (cleaning) impression this time because we probably would have used them biweekly or monthly in the future. In all fairness, I'm not a cleaning service but have done my fair share of cleaning (typically I can thoroughly knock out a bathroom in 30-45 minutes - including wiping down everything; baseboards, light fixture, etc.) so I suppose my expectations may have been a bit high... I got what I paid for. My wife explained to me that they said a few times that they'd love to come back for a "deep cleaning." Still, I expected the bathroom light fixture to be dusted, etc. I own a business and certainly take reviews seriously. I would recommend that you try them; manage your expectations and realize that you get what you pay for. I do not think that we will be using them again. They didn't do a bad job... just not a thorough job (which is what I think a cleaning company should do).

I purchased the Purged Cleaning Service special on Angie's list and was so pleased with their service that I have hired them to come on a regular basis. Tina and her staff are very dedicated and hard workers who take great pride in their work. They performed beyond my expectations and treated my home and all the things in it with great care. Areas like the kitchen floors, bathroom floors, hardwood floors, shelves, shutters, carpets and all my appliances and fixtures are sparkling clean. I've had other cleaning crews in the past but this team is the best ever. I recommend them without any reservations and look forward to a long working relationship with Purged Cleaning Services.

Provider's staff were very nice and polite, but I didn't expect such a large bill. I got the $99. special but the job wasn't done in three hours, so it took two extra hours at $100/hr and they still weren't finished. The one bed/one bath apartment did need a deep clean, but with minimal furniture and bare shelving and three people working, it should not have taken so long to clean. There was also a problem with paying through Paypal which was frustrating. I would probably recommend them as long as they view the residence and give a solid quote up front, but I personally would not use their service again.

These folks were awesome! While we were on a tight deadline, they arranged to come in a tight time period. Then our power & water were not on, so they couldn't work. But they rearranged their schedule and came back later the same day. Terrific customer service and what hard workers. I'll definitely use them again.

The service provider came back and did pay for the damage that she caused to the floor.

Worst experience ever! They seemed to be just running out the clock due to it being an Angie's List deal. No floors were even swept much less cleaned. They rescheduled the appointment time last minute for 2 hours later and then didn't show up til 4.5 hours from original time schedule. The offer was for home cleaning. We told the people when they called that we wanted general cleaning on the floors and surfaces. No one mentioned that they would be so detailed that they were going to take two hours to clean the microwave. If the work was too hard, they should have informed us up front or declined the job. No floors we even swept - this is just not right. I hired Mini maid to come in and clean -- they came in promptly and cleaned the entire house in 1 1/2 hours with a crew of 3.

They had 3 people to clean a 1029 sq ft condo for 4 hours. They didn't do the floors. I am still in shock over the lousy lousy job they did or should I say didn't do.
