I purchased multiple appliances from Nationwide Appliance, paid in full within 90 days. Once my last payment was made, I tried calling the business numerous times to schedule delivery for my appliances, my calls were not returned. I drove to the business to schedule the delivery. They never showed up for the delivery, nor did they call to reschedule the delivery. Repeat, no show, no call. I made numerous attempts to contact the business...no luck. I emailed the business, no reply. I left a note in the mailbox, no reply. I contacted BBB and Georgia Governor's Office of Consumer Protection, and finally I filed a suit against them in the local magistrate court. 1 year later I am still without my money and the appliances I purchased, however, I did win the suit against the company, so I am now waiting for a bank garnishment. I ended up purchasing my appliances from Sears, Sears is a wonderful company to do business with, they stand behind their products and services!
Description of Work: Stay away from these people, they are crooks! The internet is full of awful reviews on how they treat their customers. Once they have your money they forget to provide the promised goods and services you paid them for. The internet is full of awful reviews on how terrible they treat their customers.

Overall, my experience with Nationwide Appliance is the worst service I have ever encountered. I cannot believe any person is allowed to operate a business this way. The customer service was horrible, most of the time no one would even answer the phone and they promise things they do not deliver...literally!!! I would NOT and will NOT recommend this company to anyone ever!!! It would be worth paying more somewhere else - even if you had to ride a bike and carry a dryer on your back...better than dealing with these people. So my story from start to finish goes like this: Called for a dryer on a Monday and 34 days later we are still waiting on it to be delivered...that was the last thing we were told..."it is out for delivery right now". No phone call has been made to us still...not even one that says we will not deliver to you. Weirdest thing I have ever encountered.
Description of Work: We needed a new dryer so my husband called and got a price on a used dryer and when it could be delivered. He called on Monday, February 20th at 9:08 a.m. and got no answer. He called back at 9:15 and talked to one of the owners and got a price, which was reasonable, and they could deliver that afternoon. That was perfect for us because we had a child home sick with a stomach virus so it was coming from both ends and we NEEDED and washer and dryer non stop. The delivery never came and my husband called them 4 times that day and finally 7 minutes before they closed someone answered and said there had been a problem with a delivery truck and they would have it to us on Tuesday. They never called us to let us know there was a problem or a delay...had he not called, several times, we would not have known what was going on. We were okay with that fact...stuff happens and we understood that. By Tuesday morning, we had 2 children and myself with the stomach virus and laundry was starting to build up and we were much needing that dryer. It was lunch and we had no dryer and no phone call but we knew we were not the only customers that may be waiting on delivery so we were patient but by 4:30 that afternoon we still had no dryer and no phone call. My husband called at 4:37 and they said it was on the truck to be delivered. By 4:53 they were not answering the office phone and no one delivered that day as well. On Wednesday all 3 kids had the virus and luckily I was a little better but now we have wet clothes hanging all over the house trying to dry. There was still not phone call from anyone and no delivery by lunch on Wednesday the 22nd. My husband called and talked to one of the owners at 2:01 p.m. and was assured it was out for delivery. He arrived home from work that afternoon to what?...you guessed it...NO DRYER!!! At 6:07p.m. I called them and of course no one answered. We have NEVER heard from this company as of yet and still no dryer has been delivered. I called another company the next morning and we had a dryer by that afternoon!!! As a matter of fact, I called continuously for over an hour Thursday morning and no one anwered, I called 8 times after lunch that day and no one answered. I called Friday morning, lunch and afternoon and no one ever even answers the phone. Terrible terrible initial - lack of first contact- for new potential customers!! The only service ever perfomed by Nationwide Appliance was a mouth full of lies and broken promises. That they are pros at!!
It was the worst experience ever. Please save yourselves from making the mistake I did. They really need to be put out of business.
Description of Work: Nationwide appliance of valdosta Georgia are complete and utter rip offs. They don't make good on their deals. They are lying procrastinating awful sales people. You never get to talk to the manager and the woman answering the phones makes promises and lies and this is going on for over 2 weeks. Dave Peck replaced a relay on my fridge.tThis was shortly after a power surge from a lightening stike to my property. A few weeks later I called the office asking to speak with Mr. Peck. I was told that a mesage would be given to him and someone wold get back to me. No one ever did. On 8/12/10 I called again. I explained I needed information for my homeowners insurance company about a lightening claim. I needed the Tech's professional opinion about if the damage to my fridge could have been caused by the lightening strike. The owner refused to let me speak with the tech. I asked for Mr. Peck's cell number. The lady who identified hrelf as the owner and Mr. Peck's wife said "no". I asked if I could leave my number for Peck to call me back. She said "no". She said she would contact him and get back to me. I said I had tried that a few months earlier and had gotten no response, would she actually get back to me this time? She replied, " I'm not saying that I will do it and I'm not saying that I will not do it'. This is when things heated up and I told her that I only needed a few minutes of Pecks time and he could call me any time of the day or nite. She said This would not happen. She called Peck while I was on hold. When she came back she said he had no recollection of the repair. I asked if they kept receipts or work orders. They do not keep work invoices or receipts, only computer records. The computer record stated only " part replaced". I still had the part and she said that I could bring it to the office for her to look at but Peck would not be there. I told her that I did not feel comfortable leaving the part with her since it was my only proof of the actual work since they had no records. I also stated my doubts that someone who worked in the office would have enough knowledge of an electronic part and that is why I needed Pecks opinion for the insurace company. She was quite rude and unwilling to help. I initially had no complaints...I only needed information. I have never dealt with a company that refused to let you speak with a Tech who performed a service for you. I have never dealt with a company who kept such useless records. I haev never dealt with a company so unwilling to help with such an important matter as an insurance claim. This is not the kind of company I will do future business with.
Description of Work: A relay was replaced on my fridge. The problem came later with the customer service.

Response from Nationwide Appliance Sales
She called into our office one day last week. She asked to speak to Dave Peck. I explained to her that Dave Peck is an in home technician and is not in the office to take calls. She asked for his cell phone number. Our technicians use their personal cell phones so I am not allowed to give out their numbers. If there is a problem our office staff will contact the tech and find out the details and in return help the customer. The customer then asked if l knew what part was replaced on her refrigerator. We had recently gotten a new computer system before going this customers home. Our techs were just getting use to how it actually worked. Mistakes were made. The only note that was on this customers account is that a part was replaced. It did not state what part. The customer said that she had no idea what part it was, but she still had the old one. After going back and forth with her demanding to speak to Dave I finally told her that she could bring the part into our office and I could have our "in store" tech take a look at it. Once we determine what part was indeed replaced we can decide whether or not it could have failed due to a lightning strike. She said that she didn't want to leave the part with our incompetent office staff. I explained that she didn't have to leave it, that she just needed to bring it in and we would take care of it while she was here. Again she proceeded to continue with wanted to speak to Dave and kept saying that we had horrible service. I didn't have a problem helping the customer. My issue was with the way the customer spoke to me. I, as the owner of the company, was trying to do everything in my power to help her. My husband, John Clark and I service from Macon/Warner Robins, GA to Ocala/Gainesville FL. The last thing that we need is a negative report because the customer refused to allow us to help her. Her final words as she hung up the phone was, "thank you for your sloppy *expletive* service." So yes, I will give the customer what she needs for her insurance company when she brings the part in for us to look at. Nikki Clark-co-owner

Terrible
Description of Work: My brand new refridgerator broke. Although I had it under warranty. This company said they would perform the repairs. The only problem is they don't show up. I tried them on four seperate occassions. They give you a 4 hour window, for estimated time of arrival. So you waste your day on waiting for them to show up. Even as I write this exerpt I'm waiting on this company. H*** they are already an hour late (from there alotted 4 hour window). I haven't recieved any call on why they are late or when they project there new arrival time. So final thought, find another company. If they at least show up you would have gotten a better service.
