We wanted an estimate to build a detached garage on our property. My husband called the company early this week, Monday I believe, and left a voice mail message. The company called back shortly thereafter and agreed to come out Tuesday afternoon, and said he would call before coming. We waited but no one called or showed up. Tuesday evening my husband called back, got the voice mail and left a message again asking to be called back. It's now Friday and no one has called back, and there are no messages left on our voice mail from them either. For a company that advertises quality customer service on their website, I would heartily disagree. This is a bad first impression when you can't even keep an appointment or return a phone call. So we found another contractor.

came out immediately to look at the job site in order to give us an estimate -then we did not hear from them for about 3 weeks, we initiated contact, no estimate yet, another 3 weeks went by, we initiated contact, finally an estimate was given - meanwhile we already had some of the work done by another contractor - responsiveness was horrible, guess they did not want our business.

Jonathan is an excellent contractor. He has a college degree in Building Sciences, is honest, personable and highly dependable. He shows up on time, keeps on schedule and keeps you informed with detailed printed updates on your budget. He is easy to reach and returns messages promptly. His subs are credible and supervised. Jonathan is completely approachable, lacks arrogance, and has the rare quality of being humble enough to tell you if he doesn't know the answer to your question. He will search for the solution and get back to you with the appropriate information. He would be capable of historic restorations and renovations, as well as building from the ground-up. He worked to make our addition look as if it had always been a part of the home. We highly recommend J. Burns!

Everything they've done has been great. They clean up after themselves. They are just good people. What been great is that they come up with a lot of ideas about things I could do that I hadn't even thought of and in some cases it was less expensive to do than what I had originally thought of. They are really nice and have been very helpful in every way. I interviewed and got prices from four companies other than them and their price was not the highest and not the lowest.
