Overall our experience with Highlight Homes has been fantastic. The home itself is stunning and built to an exceptional quality. Tony was often on site overseeing the progress and quality checking his subs. This is something that anyone interested on a new build or reno should make note of - it is rare to see such a hands on contractor and is so important. It is clear that a major goal of Highlight Homes is to create a home that is not just beautiful on the outside but is thoughtfully designed on the inside to maximize comfort and utility. Tony is brilliant at taking floor plans and adjusting layouts in order to maximize space and flow. Add in a gifted eye for land use, and you have a builder who produces a home that is second to none. We have yet to work with one of his subs that isn't wonderful. It was equally impressive to hear them all sing Tony's praises. Our designer, Sheila Bryce, was beyond incredible. She too was very hands on in the project and ready and able to assist at any moment. Sheila has impeccable taste and is very focused on understanding her clients' tastes. Tony was very flexible with us looking outside his usual vendors to "value shop" and find alternative finish choices. The vendors of his who we did work with were just as incredible as his subs. They all bent over backwards to understand our needs and help make a dream a reality. Highlight Homes has built more than a house for us, they built us our home. We'd recommend them to anyone.

Situation: We were remodeling a basement. Our prior contractor had produced poor quality work, did not meet our schedule, and then walked off the job. Highlight Homes (Danny Waldrop) brought in a team of professionals to re-do much of the drywall and then install all the trim, paint the trim and walls. His crew installed three interior and one new exterior doors and a set of mirrored closet doors. They installed the closet clothes hanging shelf, doorknobs and lock sets, and a bunch of additional items not in the bid. We were under a real deadline before our new tenants were to move in. We were left to finish a Family Room, Bathroom, Stairway and a Bedroom in less than a week. Danny Waldrop’s crew was great. They were dependable and always on time. Their work was first class. They worked overtime to help us meet our deadline and our tenants were able to move in. We feel they were worth every penny we spent. We plan to use them from now on. We would Highly Recommend them to others.
