A+ Fence, Decks & More

Overall it did not go well. The deck - We found Brian's company through word of mouth. He came out and gave us the quote for the fence and deck, he was super nice. He had to re-schedule the actual install several times because of how busy they were, which was fine, I understand that. When they did come out to do the work, we were discussing lumber and fencing prices since everything went up during the pandemic. Brian told us that the price of lumber had actually went down just a little bit since the time we had paid the first half and HE offered to stain the deck if we bought the stain (which we did) for no extra charge. The deck was built in July 2021. He said the wood had to dry out before staining for 6-8 weeks (which is true). So after the 6 week period I messaged him and either their work schedule was to busy or the weather wasn't right. So now we're going into the colder months, we wait until next year (which is now). I messaged him to ask if we could get on the schedule for them to stain the deck, he said he didn't have the people to do it and I would need to find someone else. So I start calling around to get quotes and the first one was 1250.00 and they asked the size of the deck. I messaged Brian to ask him (24x24 by the way) and I asked him if this is a good price because I've never had a deck stained, he says yes this is a great price actually. I said well I see why you don't want to do it now. He proceeds to say "yep" and that he doesn't stain for free. You guys here's the thing, I never asked him too, he offered this when they built the deck. Also, the black balusters on the stairs are starting to pull apart and I'm pretty sure that isn't supposed to happen, but since I won't be using them for anything else I'll have another contractor fix this also. The fence - We have 2 large dogs and I told Brian this and that we would need the fence really secured. At the time our neighbor suggested just hooking the one side on to his fence, which we reluctantly agreed to but had them go ahead and set the poles in case in the future we would want to run our own fence down that side. As I thought the dogs were jumping up on the fence as dogs do so I messaged Brian a few months later and said I in fact did want to run the fence and asked for a price. I told him I also need more ties put on the fence to secure it better because there were places the dogs were pushing out and digging at. He quoted 350.00. They could never get out to do it because of being busy, scheduling, and help issues. Then I messaged him again about a month or so ago and he just showed up. He then said it would be 500.00 to do the fence work and the secure it better. I told him since I wasn't expecting them I wasn't ready financially and it would be a couple of weeks. He said that was fine, they would go ahead and do the work (that was nice of them) and in a couple of weeks he picked up his money. Brian does not keep his word and is rude when you point that out. So I will not be using this company again and I also can not recommend them for that reason. Honesty and keeping your word matters.

Paid him ten thousand dollars for the fence and porch Fence was ok Porch was terrible....boards fell off after two days... screen door fell apart....put the wrong screen on...asked for metal heavy duty screen and got cheap mesh that wasn't even put on right Asked and paid for pressure treated wood and got cheap lumber from home Depot Didn't put the gutters back up... left them laying in the yard Finally got the ******* owner Brian to come back out after 3 weeks He said that we were nit picking.....paid the man ten thousand dollars and we got ripped off..he said he wasn't fixing it and drove away in his car
