Description of Work: Refinished 1950 Drexel bedroom furniture that had been damaged by water leak into bedroom. Exceptional work and very knowledgeable on care of furniture. Would definitely recommend. It takes a while for returning your furniture and the wait is definitely a big plus. There work if fantastic.

Description of Work: I had a broken back on a lift recliner chair that Nathan Williams and his nephew were able to fix and it is probably better than new. For the punctuality there was rain and Atlanta traffic, totally understandable, however he did call me to let me know he was running late and that was greatly appreciated. Great company to work with and will recommend to anyone that needs furniture repaired.

Description of Work: I have used this company twice, and both times the results were fabulous. They cleaned and restored an old Singer treadle sewing machine first and I couldn't believe the results. Then they cleaned and restored a leather-top table and it looks almost like new. I can't say enough nice things about this co. Both pieces were from my family and held special sentimental value to me.

Description of Work: Willims repaired a dining room table leg that had broken. I brought them the broken leg on June 16th and asked for it to be repaired within a week because we needed to use the table. The leg was repaired and I picked it up from them on June 22nd.

+ -1 moreFamily owned business; brother/sister operation. Mr. Williams showed up to my house to pick up the chest; he was on time and very helpful. Quoted me on several other jobs, not just the one I had called about. When they removed the piece from my house they carefully wrapped it so that there would be no further damage. He warned me that they were very busy and that it would be about 6 weeks until the piece would be completed. The Hope Chest has been returned and it is stunning. I could not be happier. Mr Williams refinished the entire chest including the back/bottom which were previously unfinished. The color glows and you could not see any stains, dents or nicks anywhere. The piece is very beautiful, and I had no idea that it would come out so nice. I've very happy with the service.
Description of Work: I inherited a 60 year old walnut/cedar hope chest with severe water stains and almost all of the varnish and stain destroyed. The foot rests of the chest were cracked, chipped and banged up. Overall condition very poor.

Valerie was in the office when we left the rocker and was very pleasant and efficient. One of the brothers was there when we picked it up. He, too, was very pleasant and obviously proud of the excellent job they had done. He had even researched the maker and date for us. Their place is clean and well organized, a decided contrast to another refinisher that we considered a firetrap and refused to let them work on our antique.
Description of Work: Repaired/restored my grandmother's folding rocker, an antique I inherited and value highly.

Description of Work: Williams refinished completely a mahogany dresser and chest. They also repaired a buffet and refinished the top (including repairing a bad burn), repaired a rocker, and re-glued and repaired an small antique chest. Also refinished three table leaves.

+ -1 moreTHEY KNOW A LOT ABOUT ANTIQUE AND FURNITURE REPAIR. THEY WERE JUST GREAT. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME. I CALLED AND LEFT THEM A MESSAGE ON SATURDAY, AND THEY GAVE ME A CALL BACK ON MONDAY. THEY WERE ABLE TO COME ON WEDNESDAY. THEY KNEW WHAT I WAS LOOKING TO DO, AND WERE ABLE TO GIVE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE FURNITURE.
Description of Work: THEY DIAGNOSED ALL THE PROBLEMS WITH THE VARIOUS ANTIQUES I HAVE REPAIRED. IT WAS APPROXIMATELY 4-5 PIECES. THEY ALSO PUT A MIRRORED BACK ONTO AN ARMOIRE.

THE WORK WAS PERFECT, AND I'M FUSSY ABOUT MY ''STUFF'', SO THAT MEANS A LOT. THEY WERE INCREDIBLY PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, AND PERSONABLE. THEY CALLED BEFORE COMING OUT TO MY HOME, WERE THERE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE, AND FINISHED THE WORK AS PROMISED. THEIR BUSINESS IS NOW IN IT'S SECOND GENERATION. ALL OF THE CHILDREN ARE INVOLVED IN THE BUSINESS. THEY CLEARLY ENJOY WHAT THEY DO, AND ARE PROUD OF THEIR WORK. I HONESTLY CAN'T SAY WHETHER THEIR PRICES ARE EXCELLENT OR NOT. ALTHOUGH I DIDN'T GET ANY COMPETING BIDS, I HAD A GOOD IDEA OF THE WORK INVOLVED AND FELT THEIR RATE WAS FAIR. BESIDES, I'VE LEARNED THAT EXPERIENCED PEOPLE, WHO DO GREAT WORK, DON'T NEED TO DISCOUNT THEIR RATES TO GET BUSINESS.
