1. They showed up to provide the estimate when they said they would. They work efficiently and I had the complete estimate before they left.2. They scheduled a date with me to perform the work and they showed up on the date and time set.3. They completed the work we agreed to in the expected time and did exactly what I asked them to do.4. While they were on-site, I was able to take advantage of their expertise to have some additional work done. A handshake was all that was required to have them commit to and complete that work.5. The work site was left clean. I could not have asked for a better experience. Will use them again and will recommend them to everyone.

Everything went great. They did a very good job. They were very neat. I was very satisfied with the job. This was a rental property.

At first, everything seemed to go fairly well. I called to schedule an appointment for an estimate on having a concrete patio poured. On the day of the appointment, Bill called me, saying that he had to reschedule due to something else that had come up. I had no problem with that, but he asked to reschedule the following week, when I was going to be out of town on business. I asked him to schedule an appointment the week after that (two weeks out). He told me that he didn't know what his schedule would be like two weeks out, and that he would call me to reschedule in two weeks. I never heard back from him, and went with another contractor. I was a little shocked that he could not create an appointment two weeks out. His cancellation due to another job, followed by his inability to reschedule in advance, followed by no follow up from him, led me to not recommend using Sudlow Concrete.

I read the great reviews for Sudlow Concrete on Angies List and contacted them (Bill). He made an appointment to come right out to give an estimate and discuss the proposed job. He was here when he said he would be and after talking with him and receiving an estimate (which was not the first estimate - I had received estimates from other companies as well), I decided to contract with his company. We told him we would like to have this work done as soon as possible and decided on three days later to begin the work. Bill and his crew were here when he said they would be and the job was completed in 2 days. The crew he had working were fantastic - very professional and hard-working. The driveway looks great and we are very pleased with the entire project from start to finish - no "negatives" to report here.

I would rate them as high as you can go. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to co-workers.

Sudlow arrived at the job site on time with all of the necessary tools for the job. The contractor began work promptly. The contractor communicated well and coordinated with me to insure the patio was what I expected. The job was done in a professional manner. At the end of the job the contractor cleaned the area and left no debris in the area. All employees were polite and efficient. I would use Sudlow concrete again. Excellent work and just what I wanted.

I met with Mr. Sudlow at my home on a Saturday to discuss some concrete work installing a transittion between my driveway and the street. He quoted a price which I accepted and said he would be there toward the end of the next week, probably Thursday to do the job. Six weeks went by without a word and I had already given up on him, but I wanted to know why he never came out to do the job. I emailed him, and got the following response: "Don I am so sorry is sat. Ok" After I figured out that he was talking about doing the job Saturday, I thought I'd give him another chance and said OK. The weather for that Saturday was rainy, so we rescheduled for Tuesday, and I asked him to call and confirm on Monday. After not hearing from him all day Monday, I called at 7:30pm. I reminded him of the job on Tuesday and that I had asked him to confirm on Monday so we could make arrangements to move cars, etc. He didn't remember which job that I was and told me to wait while he tried to figure out who I was. At that point I told him never mind and to cancel the job. You would have thought that after making me wait for six weeks, he would have put me at the top of his priority list to make me a satisfied customer. This experience with Mr. Sudlow was the most unprofessional that I can ever remember.

The entire job took one day. They did an excellent job.

Arrived on time, only took a couple hours, they knew what they were doing. No problems. Very nice work.

The job was completed in one day. Everything was cleaned up and left the way they found it. The price was fair. The new driveway looks great.

We found Sudlow Concrete 1.5 yrs ago on Angie's List to have a parking pad placed in our front yard to expand our driveway. We met with Bill Sudlow for an estimate and were expecting to have to get a couple estimates before we made a decision. After meeting with Bill we decided to make a commitment to have them perform the work without getting other estimates due to his very competitive quote and no pressure, courteous sales approach. The job was scheduled in a timely manner and the work date was confirmed a few days before it was scheduled. The morning of the job they crew showed up right on time and the work was completed exactly as we expected. It is still in great shape today. Just recently when we decided to have a walkway created in our front yard the first choice was Sudlow Concrete. Again we received a very reasonable estimate and decided to make the commitment on the spot. Just as before the work was done when they said it would get done, and exactly how we expected it to look. I highly recommend this company!

He was real nice to come out in a hurry but we have not been able to really afford to get the work done yet. He was here and he answered the call, told us and gave us an estimate. He was real nice about all that but we could not just afford to do it right now. He came out, told us what he would do, gave us an estimate and how much it would cost. We knew we could not afford to do it before Christmas. He did not charge us for the estimate. He was very nice about telling us what he thought should be done and all that. As far as we were concerned with him and everything he did, the overall experience would be an “A”. Just that we did not have the money to do it. In terms of price, we really did not know because he was our first estimate and we really have not had anybody else look at it right now. Nevertheless, we did not think it was too bad, we did not really know what it would cost and that was why we wanted to find out what we were dealing with. I really could not rate the price because we have not had anybody else look at it and I do not know anything about it that much. In terms of responsiveness, he came right out. I do not remember how long it was but it did not take him very long to come out and he was very nice to us. He explained what he would do to us and he even drew a small picture of what he would do for us. In terms of professionalism, he was very nice. We might use his services in the future.

Mr. Sudlow did not show for the estimate appointment we had previously scheduled by phone. When I called to determine what happened, he said he had forgotten it, so we rescheduled. Ten minutes before he was due to arrive for the 2nd appt, he called to say he was running behind 30-40 minutes. Based on these two experiences, I probably should have ruled him out, but given reasonably good reviews along with a fair estimate and the fact that it was a small job, we went ahead with it. On the day the work was scheduled, Mr. Sudlow arrived on time. He directed a crew of three from his truck and did not leave the truck the entire time except when I came out regularly to check on the work. It was then, that I discovered the first of several problems. First, his bobcat sprang a significant leak while in the street directly in front of my driveway and dropped large amounts of oil staining a wide area. He didn't seem to be concerned or believe that there was any way to reduce the stain, so didn't make an attempt. I took the time to drive to the store and get a couple of items to try and remedy the situation. It was somewhat improved, but not eliminated. We still have the stains. While repouring one of the sections, we noticed that the corners were not properly poured and were in fact missing new concrete. You could not see that part of the driveway from the truck, so it would have gone completely unaddressed had we not inspected it before they finished the job.. We asked that it be addressed and Mr. Sudlow had one of the workers put concrete in the corners, but I suspect that the rest of the section had already started to set and the "fix" did not bond properly with the rest of the section. The corners have now broken off and come out. We have the same problem at the top of the driveway (curb area) where pieces have started to come out across the expanse of the joint line. When I wrote Mr. Sudlow a check, I told him that I planned to use the 200.00 off coupon that was included with his section of Angie's List. He told me that the 200.00 coupon was meant for jobs over a certain amount even though his ad did not state such. He said our job would not qualify and that he could do 100.00 but that was it. I felt that he should have honored the 200.00 since it was in fact still advertised with no qualifiers. To avoid any future similar problems the ad should be changed immediately. Good business judgment would dictate a similar accommodation given the time and resources I took to address the oil spill. He took 100.00 off the bill. i waited to write this review until the ad was changed. For several weeks following our job, there was no change in Sudlow's ad but I see that it has since been adjusted. That part of our experience should not be repeated.

Called and left a message that I need to demo and replace driveway. Never got a call back. Selected them based on Angie's List recommendation. Very unprofessional.

This is a long story because it involves both myself and my neighbor and lots of work travel. We first contacted Bill via Angie's list back in March. I interviewed three concrete specialists. All were very professional and likely up to the challenge. Bill had two stand out qualities to his bid: 1) he would get permits from the city and 2) he would build the back walls out of granite to match the house not stacked cement blocks. Bill's price was also very competitive. I'm not sure when exactly we gave him the go-ahead, but I believe it was late may. Then we started the permit process... <time passes> we finally got approval in late July when I was on vacation. So Bill waited until mid August to begin. This resulted in more waiting as we had significant problems getting the ATL inspector to come out. Fast forward to the 2nd week in Sept. All permits in hand, all inspector requirements taken care of, work begins. The work took about 7 days spread out over 3 weeks. Mostly this was the fault of the weather and my travel schedule. Work began in the back with the building of the knee and planter box wall. Then they graded the driveway to get proper drainage. Then they formed and poured the back/regular concrete. Then they poured and stamped the front concrete. Then they tore out and replaced the apron.

Bill Sudlow owns the company. He gave the estimate, coordinated the utilities to be marked before the work was performed. He was present for all the work. .

I found Sudlowe Concrete on Angie's List after contacting three other firms and getting bids on replacing two badly cracked sections of my driveway. Total amount replaced was approximately 520 square feet of driveway. The other bids I had received were from reputable firms and were in the range of $3000 - $3600, which frankly I thought was excessive. I contacted Sudlowe Conrete given the good ratings on Angie's List to see if they would be willing to bid and offer a more competitive price. I contacted them via their web site by posting a request for bid via their online form. The owner (Bill) contacted my a day or so later, which wasn't fast (hence the B rating on Responsiveness) but certainly within my expectations for the timeframe for a call-back. Bill came out later that day when he said he would and quickly provided me with a quote for the work of just below $2500. Given the favorable ratings here, and that I regarded this to be a more reasonable price for the needed work, I gave him the contract on the spot. With regard to the timing of the job, Bill was able to work around my request to have the work done on the day I was leaving town for several days, even though he was busy with other jobs. This was important to me since we would not be able to use the driveway for 4-5 days while the concrete dried, and it was more convenient to me and my wife to have the majority of that "Dry time" happen when we were out of town. I had told Bill that I understood that he might not be able to accommodate that request, and that was OK, so I was pleased that in the end he was able to make my desired date work. I was not home to observe the actual work but when I came home I was very pleased with what I saw. The new sections of driveway look excellent ! Also I was very pleased that they put several control joints in the driveway to prevent or minimize future cracking - the original driveway lacked enough of these. The lawn and landscaping areas adjacent to the work area were put back to the way they were and everything was cleaned up nicely. Given that this work took place right before the Labor Day weekend, we did have the dumpster for the old concrete sitting in our street from Thursday - Wednesday. In a perfect world that would have been picked up on Friday - but undoubtedly that was a function of the holiday weekend and not much could be done on that, given that it was my request that the work be done right before the holiday weekend to accommodate my schedule. In truth it probably annoyed the neighbors more than me :-) All in all I was very pleased with the pricing and the work done by Sudlowe Concrete and will definitely consider using them again for any future needed conrete work.

Although initially unresponsive to our inquiries, Bill ultimately went out of his way to make it up to us. He gave us an honest assessment of some potential projects around our house, and we will consider using him in the future.

Bill showed up on time and his workers started work right away on the steps and on the driveway. Was done by the time he said he would be done and cleaned up pretty well after the job ended. My steps look much better now and the section of the driveway that had started falling apart is all rebuilt quite nicely.

Mr Sudlow was punctual, professional and courteous for both the quote and the project start time. He returned my calls right away and did a great job (10x12 concrete slab with fiber). Price wasn't great but definitely fair!

Bill responded quickly to a request for a quote to pour a new driveway. Had 3 bids, he was able to come in with a reasonable bid and had no problem jumping through all of the hoops and hurdles to get the permits that our city requires. Professional and nice workers came out for 2 days and laid a beautiful driveway with a drainage pipe for water to run underneath. Everything looks and works great. Bill is professional, has integrity, is honest and reasonable. Have been working with tons of subcontractors over the past year and he is 1 of a very few that I would recommend to friends.

I contacted Bill who I found through Angie's List, and we set up an appointment to have him come and give me an estimate. During the estimate he explained everything that he and his company would be doing. After our initial meeting he called the next day, and said he made an error in the estimate, and why, which reduced the price even further. He and his works showed up on time to begin the work, and he was there through the entire project of replacing our driveway from digging it up to pouring to leveling. Overall he and his crew were very professional, and personable. An excellent experience, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs to have any type of work done on their driveway.

I called Bill to come out for a quote. A few days later he came out and gave me a quote of $700 for the repair of 1 ft x 5 ft hole in my driveway. Bill then stated that he would be able to do the repair in about 2 weeks. About 2 weeks later he showed up at my house with another guy and this guy did the repair pretty quickly. The patch looks as good as I think it could be. Of course there is a difference in color from the original driveway but I believe that is to be expected.

Ultimately received 3 estimates from 3 separate companies, and Sudlow's Concrete was by far the most reasonable. Bill sat down with me and explained the process before he began. He gave me his estimate, told me what time the project would begin the following morning and what time the project would be completed. He stated he would remain on site to oversee the project and to ensure everything went smoothly. Even though the tree roots were far more voluminous than anyone expected, the project began and ended - exactly as promised. Bill kept to his every word - stayed onsite - and the final price was the same as his estimate. I requested one change to the design and he did exactly as I asked - the driveway is beautiful! I am a very satisfied customer and highly recommend Sudlow's Concrete. Bill delivers!
