Sudlow Concrete

Ludlow Concrete's personnel did the demolition with little adverse impact to the front lawn and installed the work to our satisfaction.

Bills crew showed up on time completed all work and left area clean upon completion. I would not hesitate hiring Bill Sudlow and his crew to complete any concrete work...."THEY ARE THE BEST". All work was done above my expectation and in a timely manner.

This is the second time we have used Bill Sudlow for concrete needs. This time we had a sewer line that needed to be replaced, and of course it was under the driveway. Mr. Sudlow was one of four concrete professionals that I called for an estimate on the job. Not only was he the fastest to reply and come out for an estimate, but he also provided a referral to a terrific plumber, whom we ended up using for the sewer line. We have a U-shaped driveway, and his quote was so reasonable on the side of the driveway that we would need to replace that we ended up just having the whole driveway redone, as replacement was really needed more on the other side. The crew showed up on time and worked hard through the day. The finished product looks awesome, and we are looking forward to driving on it for many years to come!

The work was delayed by a week due to rainy weather, but at the first opportunity with good weather forecast, the workers showed up early on the morning of the scheduled first work day. They were personable, industrious, and thorough. They were more than willing to listen to suggestions/questions from the customer. The workers are craftsmen at concrete work. The finished product is beautiful, and was completed in only 2 days. I would enthusiastically recommend Sudlow Concrete.

All that was promised was excuted in a professional and timely manner., from breakup, removal of old concrete, preparing area, pouring and finishing of new section, and final cleanup.

I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of the workers and the way they listened to our requests and did exactly what we asked of them. I was also amazed with the speed in which they completed the job! They showed up early on the 15th and the job was complete on the afternoon of the 16th! Several neighbors have called or stopped by to ask who did our driveway because it looks so good.

It is a pleasure to work with Bill Sudlow. He is very accomodating, keeps in touch, and makes certain all work meets the customer's expectatiions. Although initially delayed by bad weather, once started the wook proceeded on schedule. His crew was was very professional and exacting. We are delighted with our beautiful new driveway.

I would love to say all the glowing things about Sudlow Concrete, but after multiple attempts to connect for a bid, no one has ever called me back. I spoke to an admin on two different occasions, and was told that the proprietor, Mr. Sudlow, does all of the estimates himself, and that he would call me back to coordinate. I've yet to receive a call, now two weeks later. VERY DISAPPOINTING for such a highly rated provider. If it's going to be such a long time to hear back, set that expectation. If not, perhaps you need to let interested customers know that you are too busy to take new jobs at the moment. Otherwise, you need to get a new admin who passes messages along.

Sudlow Concrete was great. Price was very reasonable. Job was done on time and very professional. This was the second time I hired Sudlow concrete and I would use them again in the future and refer Sudlow to friends and family.

The first crew came on a Monday morning and removed all of the existing driveway and sidewalk and prepped the area for the new concrete by the end of the day. Due to a scheduling problem, the concrete did not arrive till around 2:00 p.m. on the next day, Tuesday. Sunset was at 5:32 and rain was predicted for late that night. The crew hustled and continued to work into the night to finish the concrete pour. The job was done by 10:00 p.m. and the concrete was set before the rain came around 3:30 a.m. We were impressed at how they were able to do such a good job with both driveways and the sidewalk while working much in the dark. Because the job was a bit rushed, some clean-up was left undone. The owner was responsive when informed of this and sent someone to take care of it. We had recently paid to have our lawn aerated and seeded. The new grass was growing well before the concrete job. The weather had been wet during the prior weeks. We were a bit disappointed at the resulting damage to the lawn around the driveway and sidewalk. Otherwise, we were very satisfied. The price was our motivating reason for choosing Sudlow, however, the quality of work was as promised. We don't think we would have gotten a better job for the higher price quoted by two other vendors.

Although it took longer than I would have liked to schedule the job, once scheduled, everything went extremely smoothly. The workers arrived on time, were very careful not to damage our existing property and the finished product looks great. I could tell from the way they approached their work that they were very experienced. Most importantly, a large part of the job involved replacing broken concrete around our pool. They were very careful not damage the pool or the exiting concrete and did a great job of cleaning up the area when they left. The job foreman was very responsive to our needs. He was happy to answer all of our questions and he made sure we were pleased with the work and that everything was done to our satisfaction. We picked Sudlow Concrete because they were the highest rated provider in their category on Angie's List. Now that the job is complete, I fully understand why.

The job went well. After the forms were removed, the steps were smoothed over, and look terrific. This morning, I was able to remove the "warning tape", and the steps are back in service. I have several more concrete jobs that I need to get done, and will be calling Bill Sudlow to do the work.

VERY PLEASED WITH THE ENTIRE PROCESS. PROJECT TOOK TWO DAYS. END RESULTS LOOK FANTASTIC. Owner communicated with me throughout the entire process. Crew was very professional and hard working (there was no sitting around or taking a lot of breaks).

The job was fantastic. I got three quotes but chose Sudlow Concrete (their price was in the middle) because the quality of the materials he recommended using was better than the other two quotes and because I was impressed with Bill Sudlow's professionalism. Because the driveway was so large, Bill put a larger crew on the job and they worked really well together, taking out the old driveway on the first day and pouring the new one on the second day. Bill was there at the start of the job and came by each day to check on it, plus he called me each day to make sure I was happy with the progress. He didn't collect payment until after the job was done. I couldn't be happier with the result. My driveway is like a work of art!

Bill responded promptly to my request for a quote. His estimate was competitive and included a 5 year warranty. Six weeks later Bill called to schedule us for later in the week. They came out on Thursday, removed the old driveway and graded. They poured and finished on Friday. The crew cleaned up well and were gone by the time I got home. The driveway looks good.

This project was nearly perfectly done, in my opinion. The contractor called ahead as he said he would to schedule the project. He promised a time of arrival and that time was met. The crew was efficient and professional about their work. I requested that my plantings on either side of the drive be preserved and they were. The project was completed ahead of the projected time. The driveway looks lovely.

Mr. Sudlow said the job would take 2 days because of the size of our driveway and front sidewalk. His crew was very professional and were quick to respond to our requests as the concrete was removed and forms installed. Mr. Sudlow stopped by numerous times during the job to ensure all was going well. We also requested a drain be installed from a low point in our backyard to direct water away from the house. Needless to say we are very pleased with the entire job from start to finish. It's refreshing having a company be professional,attentive to customer requests and personable!!

I called four contractors to get estimates to replace our quickly deteriorating driveway and walkways. Bill Sudlow was the first to call back and I had an estimate in hand 24 hours later. After reviewing the other estimates, we decided to go with Sudlow Concrete. When the job was scheduled, Bill clearly laid out the activities and timeline from start and finish. From demo, to framing, to pouring and finishing, to clean-up, everything progressed exactly as he described. One of our biggest concerns is managing rain-water drainage, which caused the issues in the first place. Using a laser level, Bill?s crew carefully planned the shape and slope of the sidewalks and driveway; starting with building the frames all the way through the finish work. I could hardly wait for a heavy rain to test it out. Almost on queue, a thunderstorm popped up the day after they finished. We watched, happily I might add, as the rain water flowed from the patio, along the curved walkway to the driveway and down to the street. Good job. The Sudlow crew was on time, professional, and did a great job cleaning up the mess. They obviously take pride in their work, and it shows.

Our experience with Sudlow Concrete was fantastic. The owner, Bill Sudlow, responded promptly to my request for an estimate via Angie's List. He came out to evaluate the site and wrote up an estimate immediately. We were able to schedule the work in a timely manner (I think it was about two weeks, maybe three). Mr. Sudlow and crew showed up early on the day of and completed the work efficiently and cleaned up very thoroughly. He and crew arrived by 6:45 a.m. (we live near a busy intersection in our area and wanted to minimize inconvenience to our neighbors - also it's July!) and everything was wrapped up around noon - this includes demolishing our old driveway and removing a dumpster full of concrete, ripping out an overgrown privet hedge and failing chain link fence, and the dumpster full of that out of the way quickly, then the concrete mixer arrived with the concrete and they installed the new driveway. It went like clockwork with no hitches. I am very happy and would definitely use Sudlow again, though I hope to not need a new driveway! I should add that this one is also guaranteed for five years. :-)

The whole project from initial meeting through the proposal through the actual completion of the work was efficient and professional. Quick response, multiple meetings to nail down the final project details. Crew started on time and finished on time with a quality finished project.

Scheduled start time was 8am. Bill was on site a 7:30am. His team was there promptly at 8. We walked through the job, and they started working about 8:30. Team was professional and friendly. The concrete looks great, its still curing but so far no complaints!

We had a large project with Sudlow concrete. The project was complicated. Their pricing was very competitive (I ended up having 7 bids from big and small companies, many with a well-established good reputation and some less well known independent companies). Bill was excellent about being available. His crew showed up early, and worked late even through the weekend. The job was done in a reasonable amount of time. The team at Sudlow concrete took pride in their work and when something was not correct, the team did their best to fix it. Bill wanted to make sure that the job was done to my satisfaction. He said he would be available if any problems arise in the future. Most importantly, we would use Sudlow concrete again and would refer Sudlow to our friends and family.

Excellent job! Everyone was very very pleasant, attentive and professional! I know this sounds odd, nut it was the prettiest slab of concrete I've ever see...very smooth!! They wanted to be sure I was 100% satisfied and I was! I WILL use them again!
