What a terrible experience. For the third consecutive time, I ordered an appliance from Sears (this time it was a Dishwasher), was promised a delivery date and then got an automated call telling me that my delivery date was going to be delayed due to a "Manufacturer Delay". This time the delay was from December 11th this week to December 29th. The first time this happened with a Range Hood, it caused my contractor to have to come back to finish our kitchen renovation, causing us to have to live with an unfinished kitchen for three weeks. The second time, it happened within 24 hours of the promised delivery date, causing me to have to cancel the plumber and incur a $180 cancellation charge. Sears was neither apologetic, nor willing to compensate me. All they did was offer about $30 worth of "points", which expired in 30 days. I have learned my lesson. I cancelled my order with them and will never, ever in a million years give them my business again. Sears is a terribly run company that has sleazy policies that are deliberately contemptuous of the customer. Avoid at all costs.

I brought my lawnmower to the service center to have my carburetor replaced. The service staff at the center was very horrible. I have had to purchase parts from this location before and 40% of the time the parts are old and I can never get a replacement part once it's been open. BUT THE STAFF AT THE STORE ARE THE PEOPLE GIVING THE INCORRECT INFORMATION! It's amazing to me! But I had to get my lawnmower fixed. I had replaced the spark plug and air filter and the only thing left was the carburetor. I tried to explain that to the service agent and she kept questioning what needed to be done. I told her to check it all out and get back to me. I got a promise date of 11/29/12 when I dropped it off on 11/17/12. I will admit that they did call me to ask if they could have my permission to replace the carburetor after they said it was clogged and needed replacing. It took an additional 2 weeks to get it back. I wasn't happy with the proces! My lawnmower works but my blades are now dull and they recommended that I have them sharpened when I picked it up. i told them no. i would rather take A DAY and do it myself.

We brought our broken lawn mower in on Saturday to get it fixed. They called me that Monday (on a holiday) to confirm that they had looked at it and figured out what was wrong with it and asked if I agreed to have it worked on. I was just shocked that they were that quick about it being Memorial weekend. They had it fixed on Wednesday and I picked it up on that Thursday. They figured out that the clutch wasn't working. Besides fixing the clutch, they also gave me a tune up, installed a new filter and also put on new blades. They did what they said they would and more, all for a lower price than what was originally quoted. Great service!
