Description of Work: Sharpened my chain saw. Took a few weeks to have finished but may be an indication of how much business they have. Not particularly friendly -- maybe they're not used to seeing women bring in chain saws. But -- the chain saw was sharpened and worked like a gem afterwards. That's what counted!

Description of Work: Brought a mower in for repair. They gave an estimated price and time for completion of 1 week. A week an a half later I called, and they said had not looked at my mower. They quickly (either they had looked at it and not called or reviewed it then) took a look and informed me it was well beyond the worth of the mower. My main beef is I had to contact them, rather than them letting me know that they mower was a loss. I still will use the shop.

+ -1 moreExcellent service from start to finish. Nice, clean facility. Professional, courteous staff. Prompt reply with estimate. The service and repair themselves didn't take very long. I found this service initially on angieslist.com, and it turned out to be a godsend.
Description of Work: Tune-up, oil change on one mower. Check of another, older mower to determine if it could be repaired at all and, if so, whether it could be repaired at a reasonable cost to me.

Description of Work: Brought in a lawnmower which had not been used in several years, to refurbish; planned to donate to charity. Told them this. Estimated repair/replacement of carburetor: $140. Told them to give to boneyard and keep parts. Very prompt and courteous.

+ -1 moreMy normally very reliable mower would not start. I noticed where something (apparently a squirrel) had chewed on the gas cap, and this let some water get in to the fuel tank. After removing the water from the fuel system, they did a tune-up (at my request), and the mower now starts immediately and runs great. I had purchased power equipment from this company in the recent past but had not used their service department. I saw their service department's A rating in Angie's List and decided to take it to them for repair. The original time estimate for repair was two weeks, but work was completed in one.
Description of Work: Basic tune-up service was performed, plus fuel system (gas tank carburetor,etc) were cleaned out.

+ -1 moreThe repair was done very promptly, three days after I brought it in for repair. I could not have been more satisfied. I called ahead and described the problem to them and was told it would probably require cleaning the carburetor. I was told up-front that their standard charge for service is $60/hr and that if the repair would cost more than $130, they would call before proceeding. When I came to pick-up the repaired chipper, they started it for me, without my asking, so I could see that it had been repaired properly. I was helped in both unloading and loading this very heavy machine.
Description of Work: My chipper shredder would not start. The carburetor and fuel system were cleaned and the pull rope and handle were replaced.

+ -1 moreThey told me how long it would take, but they called me back and had it done quicker than expected. That was a plus as well! They give excellent service. They help you load and unload from your car.
Description of Work: My lawn mower wasn't working. They repaired it and got it working again. They replaced the spark plug and sharpened the blade.
