plumbing, water heater repair
+ 0 moreHe's an excellent plumber. He does quality work and is always on time. I've had a working relationship with this man for 10 years, and I've recommend him to everyone I know. He always looks like he has come out from under a house, though. His image is just a little bad.
Description of Work: He re-lit a hot water heater in the laundry area of my house that had gone out.

ceramic tile, plumbing, home remodeling
+ 1 moreHe did a good job with the plumbing, as I expected. He was less capable in terms of the tiling process. He put up new subway tile, some of which was uneven, and laid a new floor. Overall, though, I think the work was adequate, with the exception of his inability to respond to my needs in a timely fashion, especially when the bulk of the project was complete, but I still had issues with which I needed his help based on the work that he had done. He did pretty much stick to his original budget, however.
Description of Work: I contacted Greg Jacobi in, I believe, August 2006, to remodel the bathroom and do the necessary plumbing for the remodel in my 1918 condominium unit. I selected Greg because he had been recommended by other residents in my building as a good plumber, familiar with the quirks of the old building. Initially I wanted Greg to do the plumbing and another individual to do the tile work. This individual was not available, but Greg said he could do it all. He said the work would take "10-14 days". At the same time, he was also doing another remodel in my building. He started the project on time and the demolition was accomplished on time. Thereafter, however, things began to go much more slowly. I finally told him he had to finish the work in late October or early November. I am not certain he was done. The floor tile needed additional sealing which I called him about. He never returned my call. He also was very difficult to find at times, not returning calls in a timely fashion.

+ -1 moreHE DID A GREAT JOB AND REPAIRED THE FLOOR UNDERNEATH THE WATER HEATER AS WELL. HIS PRICING IS VERY REASONABLE AND HE IS VERY NICE TO WORK WITH. HE'S THE BEST PLUMBER WE'VE EVER HAD.
Description of Work: INSTALLED NEW WATER HEATER, ALSO VARIOUS OTHER PLUMBING JOBS AND FAUCET REPAIRS.
