ATLAS VAN LINES

We thought everything was going fine until we started emptying boxes. They scratched a couple pieces of furniture, we discovered multiple items destroyed or missing. We had an entire box missing. They damaged an heirloom mirror. I filed a claim with Atlas and they sent an adjuster out to examine everything and determine if Atlas should pay. They agreed to pay for most of the stuff at full value. They would only pay $300 for the heirloom mirror and not full replacement. I signed off on the claim and received the check. Then we found that another box was missing. I called to verify how long I had to file a claim and was told 9 months so please feel free to file another claim. Shortly after that, I get a rejection email. I called my "claim specialist " (who was the one who told me to file) and was told that yes, you have 9 months to file but "that doesn't mean we have to pay the claim!" I keep asking about the first missing box and they keep telling me "we are still looking for it. We have a tracker out on it." They still haven't found it. They misled me from the time I signed the papers about how long I had to file a claim. They never said you only had one chance to file a claim and oh well it's not their problem if you discover something missing or broken after you file your one claim. If you didn't include it in your first claim, you're out of luck! Please don't make the mistake of using Atlas Van Lines! You will be wasting your money and property. They were the biggest mistake I made with this move. The lack of honesty is appalling! Being told straight out to file a claim that they knew they had no intention of paying. The fake commiseration about my lost and damaged property. I wish I had never heard of them! If I could rate them a ZERO, I would! Avoid Atlas Van Lines!!

The movers in D.C. were great. The workers in Georgia were dishonest and lazy. If I needed someone to move me to a different state, I probably wouldn't use Atlas Van Lines. They were lazy, falsified documents, and it was a lot of stuff. If I had to use the D.C. team again. I wouldn't use the Atlanta Atlas Van Lines team to move me out. My company paid for it. They unpacked stuff, everything was included.
