Allgood Plumbing Electric Heating & Cooling

I called Allgood to do a service call on an AC unit that froze up on a Friday in July when temps were in the mid to high 90's. They put me on the service call list for the next day and were very nice. I was impressed with their customer service and agreed to sign up for their subscription service plan for $36 a month (3 AC units) for the next year to get discounts and maintenance. On Saturday at 2 PM--the start of my service window--they called me to say they were behind and needed to reschedule. I understand that happens, but then they said they couldn't get to me until the following WEDNESDAY. And they were just letting me know, right at the time I was expecting them to show up. How do you go from a Saturday to a Wednesday?? And is that how you prioritize someone who just signed up for your premium service subscription? If this is how they treat premium customers when they first sign up, how are they going to treat you when you are fully locked-in for a year? No thanks! I cancelled the annual service plan and called another company who could come out the next day (on a Sunday).

We had a water leak so we called Allgood. James came out to help us the very same day. He explained that there were 2 possibilities for what might need to be done. Fortunately the cheaper possibility was the one that worked. James showed us the source of our problem, and also talked to us about getting a credit on our water bill. He showed us where the various cut off valves and meters were located. We are extremely happy with the work and with his professionalism.

I have used Allgood before and was happy with their work and the price. I was hoping for a decent est. since I also want to upgrade the other bathrooms. Not this time. This time around they seem to have flat rates on most of the jobs, (as you can see above) regardless of how long that job should take. Additionally, I purchased a complete toilet repair kit from a big box store. They would not warranty that install. I could only get a 90 day warranty if I did a 'complete tank overhaul' using their products for $342.50. They also have a $39. charge for the estimate or call out. I did not have the work done, and will look for a new plumber.

Our plumber arrived within the planned window of time and had our problem fixed within one visit. We typically do our own repairs and the plumber let us watch the whole process in case the leak happens in another bathroom. Very pleased with Allgood Plumbing and would recommend to others.

Although I had a contract, I finally had to call them to find out why they had not scheduled a 6 mo. service. I got the typical we were just getting ready to call you line. I finally got a date for them to come and everything went fine. Greg was the service tech. and he was very polite, clean and well spoken. He did a thorough job of checking the system and kept me informed of how everything looked. Since I have a specialty AprilAir filter system, he did not have a filter replacement. Since I could purchase one at discount, he set it up for them to come back at a future date to install it at no extra charge. I cannot say enough about how helpful and professional Greg was. Thanks.

The technician from Allgood arrived on time and gave me a free estimate for the work we needed to have done. He said it would be cheaper to install a new faucet, rather than repair the current one. He then advised me he had everything (water heater, toilet, and faucet) already on his truck and was able to do the work that day if I wanted. Since I had already gotten estimates from a few competitors, I knew Allgood's estimate was competitive, but also less expensive than some of the others. I agreed to have the work done that day, but chose to run to the store and purchase a faucet, rather than use the one he had. Within a few hours the work was complete. Our technician (don't remember his name) was courteous, efficient, and even cleaned up after himself. Great experience with Allgood! We also signed up for a service contract with them and will be using them again for future needs.

Allgood 's plumber, Mark, arrived punctual and was very competent in analyzing the situation. He quickly tried out different things to determine whether I had a leak coming from the shower or commode. He then determined that there was actually no water leak and the ceiling issue probably had causes unrelated to my bathroom. It turned out that no plumbing repair was necessary after all. I certainly appreciated the plumber's honesty and the fact, that I was charged only for his travel to my house. I highly recommend Allgood Plumbing services.

This was a big deal purchase. It ended up turning out fine. We had to have a conversation about it, but it ended up alright. They came on the day it was scheduled so that wasn't an issue. They came out within the week that I scheduled it. It was within my schedule. They came out in a reasonable amount of time. I paid them more than the bucks for fixing the toilet. What they had to change was actually a minimal amount of materials and it took them less than an hour to put in that flange. At first I thought it was not working because it was still running water so I gave it at least a week and it did seem to abate, but it doesn't continuously run. They were very responsive in terms of showing up on time. They showed up within the time frame that was set. It was not like it was a horrible experience.

Jonathan from Allgood came out on 2 separate occasions, first he did the Kitchen a drain pipe repair. He was very courteous and did a great job of explaining what need to be done. He did an excellent job and we were very pleased. A few weeks later when we need the gas pipe for the stove rerouted, it was very easy to call and have Jonathan of AllGood Plumbing come out to do it. He did an excellent job again. We highly recommend AllGood Plumbing Electric Heating & Cooling, and will use Jonathan the next time we need a plumber.

I felt like they were trying to rob me. The estimate they gave me was over a $1000 higher than what I paid another company for the same work. Cannot recommend.

This was my first time using Allgood, but the overall experience was really good. It started with a call to Allgood. The person I spoke with on the phone was exceptionally nice. She was ready to send someone out the next day to fix the issue. However due to my work schedule, I had to push it to the day after. I told her the "symptoms" I was hearing and she told me what she thought the issue could be. She also explained to me how the Angie's list coupon would work. Kyle arrived at my house promptly. We had a window and he arrived at the beginning of the window. Also, Allgood did call me about 40 mins before he arrived to let me know the tech was on the way. My husband and I both told Kyle the noises we were hearing and he listened patiently to us explain it all. He did a few diagnostic tests and said it was the PRV that needed to be replaced. Also the damaged PRV caused the expansion tank on the water heater to break too, so that had to also be replaced. Kyle went right to work, explaining what he was doing and why. He was courteous and professional the whole time. Overall, I have to say my first experience with Allgood plumbing was a great one. I felt like their prices were very reasonable and they have superior customer service. I'll choose them again the next time I have a plumbing issue.

I purchased a coupon for $50 and the vendor did not want to tell me on the phone how much an installation of a garbage disposal cost and they said coupon should cover it. Then sent a plumber over which wanted me to pay an additional $150 on top of the coupon since they said the job would cost $250. This is an outrageous price for an installation of a garbage disposal. When i said I want to cancel the job they wanted me to pay a dispatch cost which i did not agree to. I would like this coupon to be refunded since this was clearly a scam from their side .

I call yesterday and schedule appointment for today he came on time and install the toilet handle it went well

This provider has already been to my home and surveyed the area for work, to install a disposal. Rather than provide a quote they are insisting that I pay for a service call. This is a total scam! I was offered to purchase a coupon beforehand, which I've already done to use on their previously poor performance call. I wanted to use up the certificate and be done with them but now I'm stuck with the certificate because I can't even get a quote for service. DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR. Their prices from what I've seen are over market and they are so sure of it they won't even provide a quote for service. They know they'll lose out.

I didn't like the fact that even when I bought a deal they charged me a $39 service call fee. I thought they charged too high of a price. He was kind and ended up not charging me the $39 even after I declined the service due to the price. He also gave me some tips on what I needed to do.

When he arrived he said it would be more expensive than what I had confirmed with the agent over the phone. The bid they gave me was very expensive, for example the basket straighter replacement quoted at nearly double the competition .

Anthony was the BEST. I am looking for plumbing problems around my house just to have him come and fix them.? He came out on a Sunday morning when I noticed my water heater was leaking and hissing, arriving even earlier than I'd expected (but he called first to be sure I would be home). After quickly diagnosing the problem, he offered to get the water heater replaced and installed THAT VERY DAY, on a holiday weekend! I mean, really? Who provides service like this anymore? Anthony returned later with all the parts and then spent several what appeared to be grueling hours not only replacing the shot water heater, but removing and rebuilding some of the pipes as well, so they ran straighter and more simply to and from the heater. ?He also fixed the carbon monoxide removal pipe, which he said was slipshod and likely to cause even more brain damage than I already have in general. He realized that the rubber gasket on the expander was also shot after 18 years and so he replaced that as well. He took "before and after" photos, which I'm sure he has in a lovely display album. Ask to see them, and he'll proudly show you how much better it all looked when he got done.? Anthony was cheerful, informative, very polite, and wonderfully effective at his job. He showed me how to drain my water heater periodically to prevent the kind of rusting corrosion which caused the wreakage of my older heater. Who knew?? He's the best kind of professional, who takes pride in his work and loves to share knowledge with his clients. Dealing with him made it easy to decide to sign up for Allgood's regular service program. I know I'll have outstanding maintenance on my heating/cooling and electrical as well as plumbing.? This is the third time I've used Allgood in the past two years, and I have always been extremely pleased, but Anthony in particular?cannot be improved upon.?He had been working since early that morning and was going onto one or two more when he finished mine at 9 pm--on a holiday weekend, don't forget!!??Ask for him! ?I know I will.?

The provider was supposed to troubleshoot our leaky toilet, but do that was incredibly expensive- over $320 to install a $20 part that many do themselves. He suggested the price was high because the bolts could be rusted on. I had just removed them the day before and they were fine. He never asked about that or looked himself. More aggravating is the plumber was suggesting added services before determining any of the seals/parts were bad on the toilet. He suggested our pressure from the city could be too high but he never asked about water pressure any where else in the house. (If anything it's too low.) Additionally, I asked about an estimate of services when I made the appointment. I was told they'd have to assess. She could have told me the minimum to replace a leaky flap is X, to replace then entire flush valve is X. I also wanted a disposal installed. No one asked before the plumber arrived if there was electricity available already. There is a dishwasher and electrical outlets, but no one stated that this wouldn't be sufficient. Waste of time and money.

Mark, the technician, was fantastic! I learned so much from his short time at my home. I needed a leaky toilet fixed and it has been working fantastic ever since! He was such a nice, honest guy. He even unclogged my shower drain and showed me how to do it. I couldn't figure out how to get the drain off. He also told me what to do to fix my clogged sink. He was so helpful and informative. He also told me that my outdoor faucet didn't need to be fixed which is contrary to what another professional told me. I look forward to using this company again! I would give an A++ if I could!

Company was very easy to deal with and scheduled us right away. We had a window given and the technician arrived well within that window. He evaluated our needs and also explained why certain things needed to be done which was helpful and very appreciated. The work was completed immediately since all parts necessary were available on the truck. It was nice to not have to schedule a time at a later date for parts to be ordered.
