A pleasure to deal with. Estimate was accurate- no hidden costs of surprises. Moving crew was timeless, hardworking and careful with belongings. The company made it clear that the goal was to make us happy and they did!

There were 3 guys from Georgia and they were really fantastic, very helpful, and did more than was expected of them. On day of pickup they were punctual and arrived exactly on time. Introduced themselves and were very nice. Made no fuss about moving things and took great care making sure not to damage any walls or furnitures. They also arranged things well in the truck padding everything to prevent falling or scratching. The next day they again arrived right on time. The items were being stored in my parent's basement and they were able to bring everything down the stairs without scratching the walls or the doorways. After opening the boxes and furniture everything was exactly as is without any damages. Fantastic work and very efficient. Also Christie on the phone was very responsive to my wife even returning her call after work hours and answering all our questions. She offered us the best price in a very short moving window that we provided her which no one else could do. Thank you for making a very stressful situation so smooth! In this entire moving process this was surprisingly the least stressful part, largely in part to these guys. Highly recommended!!

The guys were very respectful and helpful. They made a stressful event less stressful. They worked on what I had packed while I still packed some things. They treated my things with care and respect. They were punctual and kept on working. They hardly stopped for lunch. They reminded me of the Energizer Bunny! My move filled a 26' truck. In SC they unpacked the truck and put it into a 10' x 20' storage unit, packing it again!

It went very well. No complaints at all. The movers showed up on time for packing and loading at both locations and arrived on time to unload the trucks at our new house. The movers were professional, courteous, careful, and efficient. Christie organized both moves and was extremely responsive throughout the entire process (even after business hours!) We have another move coming up in 2015 and will be using Direct Movers again.

How do I start......We found Movers Direct here and, based on all the good reviews, decided to inquire about our move. What a breath of fresh air it was dealing with this company. After 31 years in law enforcement I've come across my share of shady and unscrupulous people and businesses. This company restores my faith in the American work ethic. The owner Christy, was a joy to work with and found a slot for us during their busiest time of the year. The crew, Daniel, Andrea, and Ricky were polite, friendly and overly accommodating. They were on time and worked nonstop. The team leader Daniel was an absolute magician loading and securing our possessions and used every square foot of their truck to get everything in. Everything arrived and unloaded without a scratch. Being retired, this is our last big move. I think Christy knew that the chances of us using their services was slim and yet they still provided grade A service. I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone.

I would not recommend them. They broke a lot of our furniture. They broke our antique table and they broke our chairs. They did not pack things correctly since they threw them into the truck. Their price was reasonable; I think you get what you pay for. They were very responsive.

A job very well done!!! They picked up , packed and delivered the furniture as promised and at the exact time promised . This company was chosen for our move based on the many great reviews on Angies List. Maybe our expectations were set too high, but there were many things about this experience (too numerous to list) that made us wonder if we had gotten the same company! Bottom line is this...the level of professionalism we were expecting simply wasn't there. Compared to how things were done on our last move 17 years ago, we could see several deficiencies in their mode of operation, particularly a lack of attention to detail. There are missing items and broken items, but not enough to file insurance claim with $1000 deductible. We were given a negotiated settlement of $400, only after we asked for it. And that amount was mostly reimbursement for us not getting 4 men on the job each day (which we were paying for), as one man failed a drug test and was dismissed right before our move, and another showed up late on the final day and immediately quit when told his girlfriend, who had accompanied him, would have to leave! So then we were down to 2 movers for most of the day until the owner of the company drove over 2 hours to come help finish the job, since we had a baby grand piano to get off the truck!! But no amount of money could replace the missing bed knobs on our set of twin beds that we bought new 25 years ago, and every time I walk into the room, I am reminded of that. We just have a hard time understanding how this should happen with a professional moving company. We would expect them to have a fool-proof system in place that insures every part of a bed that they take apart will arrive safely, and be reassembled with all pieces at new location. Seems very basic. Despite our disappointments and frustrations with this experience, there was a lot of hard work done by these guys.

Things went excellent ! I can't say enough about how well the whole process went. I had heard horror stories about using more traditional moving companies and so I looked on Angie's list and found this company which was a complete stroke of luck! This was the most painless way to move. Christy was super organized, professional and so on top of things I was stunned. The crew, Daniel (Head crew), Jeffrey and Calub were so great to work with. I never once felt that they were doing anything but the best job possible. I never had the feeling that they were packing my Dad's stuff and didn't care, everything was packed with so much thought and so much protection (bubble wrap & paper were used). I would say they packed with such care that it was almost like they were packing their own house up for transport. Not one thing was broken during the trip which is amazing. My dad has a ton of sentimental items like framed photos and model planes. I was so worried and it all turned out better than I could have ever expected. The small classic sports car they towed for us also ran into trouble. The cover I bought didn't fit well and somehow it came off during transport. Daniel and Calub devised a plan to "Shrink wrap" the car with an industrial sized roll of saran wrap. The car arrived in great shape and we were all amazed at their clever solution to a tricky problem. Really honestly I could go on for awhile about all the great things I saw while these guys moved my Dad but space is limited and the truth is simple. If you're moving and want things to go really well and be as easy as possible, this is your company!

This move was the smoothest move I have ever experienced.My husband was military so every three years we moved.We had Daniel and Caleb .These guys were so professional and at the same time so good natured.It was 90 deg in both places while moving.Watching Daniel load that truck was truly a work of art.I don't think there was an inch of space left.I told Daneil there is no way that you can get my furniture in that truck.Obviously I was wrong.?I would recommend Movers Direct to everybody in fact I have highly recommended this company already.We loved Daniel and Caleb I could not have wished for more professional people and at the same time congenial.

Everything arrived on time and undamaged. Overall the move went superbly, as there was a lack of coordination between the people who were moving (!) as my Dad was already in Rochester. The movers were extremely courteous and helpful, and when unloading took time to move items around to see where they would fit best in the new apartment for us. One of the moving dollies got the rug dirty, and the crew got down on the floor to try to clean it up! It didn't work and so they then said they would have the rug cleaned. (They ended up not having to do so as the apartment company took care of it, but they were completely ready to do so). Mover's Direct also took several items that would not fit into the apartment to my home about 4 miles away, which they certainly did not have to do, but did cheerfully - they even took the things to the basement for me. Also, Christy in the office who did the scheduling was very helpful and kept on top of the situation from beginning to end. Again this was great for us as we were trying to manage the move from two ends. This move was expensive.....twice what I was quoted by another national van line...but the personalized service and attention to the customer were completely worth the cost. The only thing that did not go completely as promised was that we were told the crew making the move would be the same from beginning to end. This did not happen, so that the crew boss at our end of the move was NOT the crew boss who supervised the packing. While the other two crew members were there for the whole service and could let us know what had happened in Florida, I would have preferred to have the whole crew as we had been told. However, this was minor. Overall I would use Mover's Direct again for any move. In fact, I just called them to get something moved from NYC to Rochester in August.

Three men showed up on time to assist in our move to Florida. We had packed our own belongings and just needed help loading the truck. One of the men stayed in the truck and packed while the other two loaded. The packer was very experienced and packed the truck from floor to ceiling (26 ft truck). The men were all very professional and worked hard - a nice bunch of guys.

I found Movers Direct LLC on Angie's List. I spoke with Christy. I explained what I needed moved and she quoted an acceptable cost for a dedicated 26 ft. truck and 3 man crew. Daniel, Andrea and Miles were the crew members. They arrived at the appointed time. Before they started packing, they moved the items I was donating into the garage. They exhibited competence and professionalism with packing my items. The items were handled carefully. When moving the larger items, no walls were bumped or nicked. They arrived at my new house in Florida at the appointed time. Though I was not present at the unload, they followed my written instructions for furniture placement to a tee. My final bill was exactly as Christy quoted. No surprises. Though I do not anticipate another move, I will enthusiastically recommend Mover's Direct, LLC to anyone. Thank you Daniel, Andrea, Miles and Christy. Great job!!

The best moving exprience I have ever had. From the moment I spoke to Christy on the phone, it was an easy, professional process. The moving team arrived on time, in a great mood, eager to please, thorough, understanding of the issues that are caused by a move, and very helpful. They were also very hard workers and were fast but very careful. The actual move went very well and nothing was damaged. I plan to use them again in the near future for another move and would recommend them without reservation. A great company and a wonderful moving experience!

They were quick to return phone calls. They worked with us to find the most affordable and quickest way to get the items moved. They took care of our things. They were on-time, professional, pleasant, and their estimate was accurate.

Mover?s Direct first requires you have a cashier?s check for the full amount when the day is over. Because I thought I was doing business with a reputable company and because I paid $12,000 MUCH MORE than anyone else quoted, they would take care of me. NOT? Mover?s Direct uses pressure tactics to force you to sign-off telling you they must catch their plane for their next job even when the job was not finished. They refuse to consider payment for things they had broken because I forgot to put on the list. I paid$12,000 for the move NOT to have this kind of treatment! They didn?t have enough people; they had ZERO equipment, not even a 4 wheel furniture dolly. The whole thing took much longer than it should have and they left before the job was done. Moving is probably one of the most traumatic things anyone can experience in life. I spent extra time researching to find what I what I thought was a reputable company for my possessions. I paid TWICE what others quoted with MOVER?S DIRECT thinking all would be delivered in good shape and if there were mishaps during the move, for the price I paid all would be responsibly taken care of. I had 3 stops planned and agreed upon well before the move. I moved from Florida, made a drop-off in Texas ending with the destination of California. They were to arrive 8 AM. They didn?t arrive and start moving until 10 AM. They left their dolly at the first stop (they rented their trucks and they told me they were not charged for the dolly). I sent them a picture of my simple box dolly and offered it as an addition to their equipment. I thought while traveling in the days after Texas, they would stop and rent equipment like any reputable moving company would have. However, when they got to the move-in they had NO EQUIPMENT, at all ~ only my simple box dolly with no straps! First, there should have been more guys to move if they expected to finish that day. Moving at the condo was to discontinue at 5 and they weren?t nearly finished. I agreed to work with them later and got management to allow it. The day was LONG, I was tired, they took much longer because they had no equipment to move the furniture and boxes. They then begin telling me they MUST catch their red-eye flight that night so they must finish. Pressured and very tired, we ran to storage (the last stop) before it closed because they said they would not come back the next day. They left the most difficult heavy pieces to the last so they had to go back to the condo from storage and move the last of it. One piece would not fit in the elevator, the storage facility was now closed and they insisted they had to catch their plane for the next job. I had to leave the armoire sitting in the middle of the garage. I was immediately contacted by management to move it immediately. To get it moved, I had to pay $195.00 for movers to come move it to the storage facility. By the end of the night, I hardly felt like closely inspecting all the furniture to see where damage had been done. Knowing that I had paid over $12,000 for the move, I felt like anything that was broken that was their fault, they would compensate me ? regardless of any insurance rules they supposedly had. The items that were broken were valued into the thousands of dollars. Their insurance policy paid for anything over $1000. They decided what they would pay and I had to sign off that night and give them the check. I was so tired I reluctantly agreed. I forgot several things that they had broken so I contacted them. I asked Christy to pay for the movers who had to come the next day to move the armoire to the storage facility, and add the cost of the items I had forgotten. Even then, I wasn?t aware of the major damage to a very expensive mirrored dining room table they had broken. Christy basically laughed and said they weren?t paying anything additional. They paid me $200 for damages. Real time damage totaled well over $2,000. The mirrored table repair ended being quoted for $450 and this is without the top large piece being replaced which was also damaged. I couldn?t see it that night but was very apparent when I inspected it later. I could itemize the other things but will not in this review. Just to say, I paid a very expensive price then was treated harshly and without honor. I would NEVER recommend them. I feel their lack of professionalism was sooooo out of line with the amount I paid. I was very disappointed because I thought they were the real deal! NOT! Stay away from them! UPDATE: I would like to respond to MOVERS DIRECT response! It is a TOTAL LIE that they offered me credit card payment! It was never mentioned!!! If it had been offered, of course I would have taken that - I LIKE my airline miles! Again - the DOLLY was not wanted or needed and MOVERS DIRECT did not pay or own the dolly that was left at the first stop by their people! I NEVER TOLD them they didn't need another dolly!!! I sent them a photo of what I had and offered to let them use my dolly but (never in a million years) thought they would not have anything else!!! When I spoke to Christy about not having the equipment, she said I offered my strapped dolly. TOTAL LIE - they knew it wasn't strapped because I sent them a photo. I DID NOT pack the planters - I told them I didn't know how to pack them and they were in charge of packing these items!! The SMUDGE on the chair was 4 mover's hand prints not a little smudge!!! I TOLD them I wanted payment for the things they broke and they decided it should be $200 - OBVIOUSLY NOT what it cost to repair and that doesn't even include the planters which I forgot to include. I DID say I would be writing an Angie's List review but said NOTHING about it being horrible - she concluded that by the way she treated me. She determined it would be horrible on her own. In this specific thing, her intuition was right... Of course, I did ask for additional payment for the items I had forgotten, for the $195 in charges to move the armoire in the garage the next day and told them about the additional damage I hadn't seen late on the night they left. Christy laughed and REFUSED to pay anything beyond the $200. I apologize for all the exclamation points but I am very angry with her lies and that she says my comments are false! This is why Angie's List is so important for all the people who are treated badly to have a forum to report bad behavior. Thank you Angie's List for this opportunity.

We underestimated the amount to be moved and the time it would take to pack all my belongings. However, we solved the problems in a timely fashion and the move went very well - more than meeting my expectations. It was hard for me to quantify what needed to be moved (not ever having done this). Everyone asked for total weight or size of home. I found it impossible to quantify weight (and therefore a cost estimate was a guess) and eventually I was not successful in estimating the volume of things I had to move - the truck proved to be too small. However, the truck and an additional trailer solved the problem and everything was moved within the necessary window of time. Christy was more than prompt in answering my calls and my questions, even with the majority of the communications being done over a holiday weekend. That can not be said about the others I called. The negotiation went smoothly, efficiently and comments on the List proved to be very accurate. The moving team of three arrived on time and proved to be efficient and capable. They bent over backwards to meet my expectations and I found them great to work along side. I was not able to be at the delivery site - a storage facility some distance away. I was amazed at how tightly things were placed on the truck and the care that was taken in the loading and unloading. My sister said "my team" looked extremely professional compared to all the others arriving at the facility to unload. She said it was evident they knew what they were doing and were expedient and professional in all they provided. All my belongings were packed well and the furniture was not only covered for the move but covered with paper padding in the storage unit.

The crew was right on time, and worked well with each other, they worked hard and steady. They arrived at the destination on time and were punctual for the unpacking. Everything arrived intact not one thing was damaged. I was very pleased with this company and would recommend their services. Thanks for a job well done!

The movers were punctual on arrival to our house on the 19th. They came with a truck we thought would be too small for all our stuff, but Daniel, Tim, and Josh did an awesome job of loading the truck so our stuff fit perfectly. We had already done the packing, but they wrapped and disassembled as necessary all furniture, including several very heavy oak pieces. They loaded us on a Monday in Indiana and arrived in Arizona on Thursday to unload. This was a far shorter timeframe than any other carrier would quote us. It was also nice not having our goods mixed in with other households. Everything was unloaded, reassembled and moved where we wanted in the destination house. There was absolutely no damage/breakage to any furniture or items. Daniel, Tim and Josh were very polite and professional throughout the entire loading and delivery process, repeatedly asking if there was anything else we wanted them to do as part of the move. We have moved several times over the years and this was by far the smoothest and most problem-free move we have ever experienced. We would not hesitate to use Mover's Direct in the future, and would recommend them to anybody making a household move. Thank You!

Great, they moved me from Chicago to my school apartment in Norman. Friendly guys. They were willing to make two stops at a storage unit and my apartment. They were willing to wait while I did the paperwork at the office. Very accommodating and friendly.

We were very impressed with Lamar, Kim and Cody's professionalism and skill. They arrived at 7:00am as we requested, worked what seemed to us non-stop to load until finished at 3:00pm. We were aware that we had more household goods than the 26' truck would hold, and yet they very thoughtfully loaded to include as much as possible - we were amazed! Nothing was damaged in transit (we have just finished unpacking boxes) and they were very respectful of both houses as they loaded and unloaded. When we asked if they could help us by moving a sofa, loveseat and king size bed to the downstairs (already in the house in Arkansas from an estate sale) they didn't miss a beat and said, "Of course!". The overall experience was very positive and we felt as if they were new friends by the time they met us in the Village to unload our stuff.

It is difficult to move household goods of a 3 bedroom into a one bedroom location. I requested that a dresser and mirror not be taken off the truck because the bedroom area could not accommodate them. The driver said that he could use the furniture. He also received a large ottoman. The two men were careful moving things, but even in the best conditions, furniture suffers when moved a great distance. The service was excellent. I was their only client for the three day travel. You get what you pay for. I do not want to give my current location. Move was precipitated by a divorce.

This provider is NOT LOCAL and does NOT do local moves. They get an F because their listing is materially incorrect, and because they don't provide all of the services that one expects from a moving company. Apparently they have a special deal w/ Angie that lists them in every city because they *could* move you into or out of that city. One presumes that they sub-contract with local personnel for things like packing and estimates, which brings into question their ability to control quality in other cities.
