Completely without a hitch! I wish there was more to say, but the move really was uneventful, which is just how we wanted it. These fellows really are consummate professionals. We've used several movers in the past, and Movers Direct was the best by a long shot. They went the extra mile to make sure all our stuff arrived safely (nothing broken, they watered our plants en route, etc.). Lastly, the final price was a good $1300 below the estimate. All in all, highlyrecommended.

Christy was such a pleasure to deal with in helping me set up my move from my home of 42 years in Houston to my new smaller home in the Seattle area. She was professional and efficient and even told me the names of the movers and a little about each one. I wasn't taking everything, so it was best to do my own packing. The guys arrived only 30 minutes later than expected but they had called to let me know. When Ronnie, Zach and Brody arrived I felt like I already knew them. They went to work immediately and were an experienced team and yet very patient with me. (this was a very tiring and overwhelming experience for me). They finished up in about 5-1/2 hours. What I liked best was not having to worry about going over the minimum weight when packing because I had the whole truck. I knew exactly how long the trip would take and when they would arrive. Nobody else's things were sharing the truck so no loading and unloading along the way. And my car was with my belongings. My daughter met them at my new home and was very pleased with the way they unloaded and set up my furniture. Thanks to all of you. Working with you all was the best part of the actual move.

The toughest part was estimating how much truck we needed. In the end we were quickly trying to fill some more boxes so we could fill up the one truck. We weren't moving the entire house or even that many rooms so it was very difficult to estimate how much space we needed. I wish I had hired a local mover to come estimate for me. Other than that everything went perfectly. We have/had a two story with a finished basement. All stairs wrapped around and there was some seriously heavy office furniture in the basement, and some big cherry pieces upstairs. They moved everything without one mark, dent, or scratch on any wall or piece of furniture! NOT possible in our old house! It probably helped we had three movers instead of two, I recommend paying the little extra for an extra person. It gives them an extra driver for the long haul too so they can have a longer stop over somewhere on the way. I wish we had been better prepared. They even tightened some of our chairs and furniture before moving it into our new house. I warned them about a loose chair and he said "oh, I tightened that up already". It's a lot by phone so start early and talk often. You will be pleasantly surprised when you meet everyone in person. Same crew in Minnesota and Arizona, NICE!!! I wish I new what a good tip was, I tried, but I'm not sure. Ms. Manners just says you should tip movers, not how much.

We were very pleased with the service. I shopped around and decided to use Movers Direct because they had great reviews here and offered the best price to move just a few items of furniture from Virginia to Alabama. Christy was very responsive, friendly and professional throughout the process of providing the quote and booking the move. The movers ended up ahead of schedule and we were given the option to get an earlier than expected pickup and delivery. I appreciated that this was provided as optional and we did not feel pressured to change the schedule unless we wanted to. We did decide to go with the earlier pickup/delivery, and the movers showed up right on time and completed both the pickup and delivery very quickly, efficiently and professionally. All of the items arrived in good condition. All in all, we were extremely satisfied with every aspect of this process and I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.

Movers (Daniel, Zach H, Josh P) were on time, worked quickly and carefully loading our goods on the truck. They followed us to the apartment. They placed the boxes, etc. in the rooms I indicated and then unloaded the things we had carried in our cars. I could not have been more pleased with the way this move was performed and I would not hesitate to recommend Movers Direct.

My daughter first used this company and was extremely pleased. When I decided to move on March 24th, I also contacted them. I cannot praise these guys enough. They arrived on time, packed everything with such care and so quickly too. I had everything placed in storage and scheduled them to move everything out of storage over to my new house on May 1st. My 2nd move was only $900.00. They loaded, transported, unloaded and setup. After I had unpacked everything I found that nothing was damaged or broken. They packed everything so extremely well that nothing could have happened. I am so glad I had them do the original packing. All I had to do was make sure I set aside what was coming with me and not to be packed and loaded. I loved the way they packed too. By the room. It made unpacking so much easier. I will definitely use this company again and my daughter will also. These are extremely professional and nice people from the moving crew to the office staff.

It all went without a hitch. Could not have been better! They exceeded my expectations, which were high to begin with.

It went very well! The team of guys we had working on our move were professional and friendly and didn't hesitate to help us in any way they could if an additional need arose. I would definitely use this moving company again for sure. It was flawless. The only little snafoo was that the handles of our fridge were left in the truck but they realized it before we did and made sure we got them shipped to us right away. But we had a lot of stuff....2 - 26' trucks full of household goods so to have that be the only snafoo was amazing. I thought the way Movers Direct handle moves was so much better than the other companies I had looked into previously. Real nice guys too. Very polite and courteous - nothing was too much for them - very strong! Thank you Movers Direct for making a huge life change so much more bearable!

The initial bid for the move was done by email with my wife detailing the items to be moved. The bid was very competitive but what we appreciated most was their responsiveness. A couple of our contacts with other movers never even generated a call back. The move was necessitated by my mother-in-law moving from her condo in Ohio to a senior living apartment in Minnesota. My mother-in-law is 92 and not one to deal well with confusion. The movers, Tom and Zak, were extremely quiet and very careful with all of the items, some of which were antiques. Everything arrived in Minnesota on time and in good condition. Some of the items went to the apartment, with the remaining items going to storage. Tom and Zak were extremely courteous and professional. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job.

The service was outstanding! The crew was professional, on-time and customer service oriented. I would highly recommend them to any person looking to move.

Still can't believe how uncomplicated and stress free the entire move unfolded. Like many I was apprehensive about selecting a mover, but after reading every review of Mover's Direct (twice !) I called Christy and felt like I knew her already. The moment after the call I knew I made the right decision. All went exactly as all those wonderful reviews had said. I did very little preparation, they came and packed up everything , including all the stuff in closets and cabinets, while I went out for a delicious lunch and a glass of wine, boasting to all that I was in the middle of moving. Came back to the house around 5 PM, they were just about finished and had all my cable boxes and remotes ready to put in my car so I could return them.They delivered all on time to my new home and placed the furniture and boxes in the rooms. All went like clockwork, it was almost eerie in it's precision. Being a new grandma in my 70's (reason for moving) and arranging it all on my own, gave me not only a sense of accomplishment, but made me feel like 60 :-) Thank You Christy and crew !!! Sorry I took so long to write a review, but moved into all that snow in New England and my brain only defrosted last week.

Jeffrey & Josh the movers did such a good job....Exactly on time..when they said 9:00AM they were there at 9:00Am Very Nice and polite...Did not fool around or take their time...They came in , looked around to see what needed to be moved and then began... They were done before 3:00PM.... We had a slight hiccup on our way to Florida and had to postpone the delivery date for a day... I called and she told me no problem and make arrangements for Sat. Del.....I was thrilled!!! Would recommend them !! Also the same people delivered the load.... nice

The man was very nice but decided not to go with them because the price was too high. But he was very nice and I felt so bad for not going with them. The owner of the company came out to my house and reviewed everything I needed done , and I hated not to use them but because I am on a limited budget I couldn't go with them.

.I have moved about 10 times, mostly with work paying for it. I found myself wanting to move back to Georgia and started looking for movers. I read tons of reviews and ultimately picked Movers Direct. From the first phone call, Christy had it organized. I threw a bunch of crazy things at them (i.e. 10 inches of snow the packing day, date changes on delivery end, nice rain on delivery day, etc). They packed all of my stuff from a 3 bedroom/3 bath house, loaded in, moved across country, stored it, moved it from storage (that increased the cost a bit) to new house. All of this was done on time on budget and with true professional people on both ends. As far as we have found, nothing missing, nothing broken. Would recommend these folks 100%

Very impressed with service. I called on a Friday afternoon. They looked at what was already on the schedule and figured out they could stop by on Sunday to pick up the stuff with another load they were picking up in Ohio, bring it back to Georgia and add it to a west-bound load the next week. They arrived right when they said they would, were helpful in helping us finish taping up our boxes, and quickly loaded the shipment. They arrived in San Diego on the day they said they would, at the time they said they would. Everything was in great shape. They were 1/3 the price of the other two quotes I got and I was impressed with how quickly everything fell into place.

Christy was quick to respond, quote and confirm our move. The guys did the rest and exceeded all expectations!

The movers were prompt, courteous, professional, caring, and extremely hard working. Tommy and James were the best. They kept informing me of how much room they had left and we ended up packing more as they were loading and got a lot more on the truck than we expected. Once they arrived to the new home in PA, they had problems with getting the bedroom furniture up the stairs (remodeled farm house), but they did everything they could and got everything where it needed to be. I couldn't ask for better work and such professionalism from these two gentlemen. Christy was fantastic with making sure everything was set into place with the move. I will never move myself again. I will call Mover's Direct, LLC for all my moves from now on and make sure if Tommy and James are still working there, that they will be the ones I want.

IT WAS UNREAL FABULOUS!!! NOT AN EASY DAY BECAUSE IT WAS 3 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND FREEZING THAT DAY UP IN NEW YORK AND THEY WORKED ALL DAY SO HARD . THE MANAGER OF THE TEAM RONNIE REALLY KNOWS HOW TO PACK THE TRUCK AND CHECKS ALL AROUND THE HOUSE TO EFFICIENTLY FIT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND CALCULATES SO AMAZINGLY DUE TO HIS 40 YRS EXPERIENCE !! WE COULDNT BELIEVE OUR EYES ;) THE OTHER GUYS CALEB* THE DRIVER AND THE 3RD FELLOW JEFFREY* WERE AMAZING TOO ! THEY WORKED SO WELL AS A TEAM AND HAD EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FREEZING OUT THERE !!! VERY IMPRESSIVE

The crew of two men arrived promptly at my daughter's house in Yuma. The behaved respectfully and efficiently. They wrapped all of the furniture in padding and taped the padding on with packing tape. A different crew delivered my belongings to me in Lenoir City five days later. (This was a new crew, because they were going on to move someone to New York.) Again, the men arrived right on time. They unpacked the furniture and removed the padding. This was going into a storage unit, so they then wrapped everything in heavy paper, again secured with packing tape. The treated my belongings as if they were museum pieces! They were efficient and professional. Each man in the crew was very pleasant and friendly. I am thrilled with the job they did. I have dealt with several moving companies over the years. Every other experience had some upsetting and frustrating aspect. This company does what they say they will do and charges what they say they will charge. I highly recommend them for your moving needs. I will definitely use them again.

They were excellent! The move went great and the movers were very nice and very honest.

Don't use anybody else, This company was WONDERFUL from start to finish. Fair price, nice employees and never stopped working. I have moved 4 times in 4 years due to my career and this was the best and easiest move of them all. On my first call, I spoke to Christy who was very good at what she does. She scheduled my move and explained everything with a single call she even answered on a weekend evening. On moving day, the movers called to confirm my address and showed up early! They parked the truck, Jeff, Josh & Grayson got out and introduced themselves and shook my hand. They started loading the truck and even though I was moving from the second floor, they never slowed down. They were very careful with my stuff. When we arrived at my new home, the closest they could get their truck was over 50 feet away and the walk was all uphill, with stairs at the end of the walk. THEY NEVER COMPLAINED, THEY NEVER SLOWED DOWN and they charged me fairly. I was so impressed that I added a 20% tip! And that is not easy to do at $119 an hour.....but worth every penny. Direct Movers should be your first/only call if you need to move!

Daniel did an outstanding job organizing everything. I am especially thankful Andrea was there as my husband was already working down south and I was a nervous wreck. Thank you Christy for putting together an excellent crew and answering all my questions patiently and cheerfully. It was truly a pleasure to meet Daniel, Andrea, Tim, & Tom. I would recommend Mover's Direct over any other moving company.

New Review 06/2015 This is my second move with Mover's Direct. I used them 6 months ago, and because of their stellar service, I used them again. Again, I was met with on-time service, punctual drivers, ultra-courteous, and communication was paramount. I can't recommend them enough! ----------------------------------------- Old review 11/2014 After reading hundreds of horror stories online regarding moving companies, I was scared to find someone good. Luckily, I use Angies List and found Movers Direct! I checked their BBB status: A+. Huge numbers of of A+ ratings here on Angies List. I called them a few months early, got an EXACT quote. Christy, their manager is extremely responsive to text/email/phone. They arrived when they said they would (many companies online have horrible reports of no-shows and then showing up a week later, because they can). They arrived when they said they would (many other companies store your stuff in a warehouse and will get to it when they get to it, which means you can be delayed on the quoted day of arrival by weeks). Unloading took about 4 hours (they let me help, which is RAD). I was already here and my wife and kids were on the way, Movers Direct beat them here and we unloaded and setup before they got here. I would highly recommend, and I WILL use them again in the future. Beyond A+... A+++++ Five diamond.

Despite all the great reviews here, I was very disappointed with the actual service provided! I found the office manager , Christy, to be condescending and uninformative. She never gave me a detailed receipt for my initial deposit even though I requested one twice. It was a very nerve wracking move on short notice and she told me I was in "good hands". Yet, at the same time, she seemed bothered by my questions and ended up charging me $200 extra because I did not feel comfortable driving 1500 miles in 2 days with my daughter!!!!! She made a point of bragging how it is no problem for her to drive 750 miles a day with her kids and therefore, it shouldn't be a problem for me! First of all, they arrived 2.5 hours later than scheduled. The first crew of 3 movers (Christy promised that the same crew would pick up and deliver - this was untrue) were polite enough, but the main mover's conversation mainly revolved around the tip ($100) that he expected to receive. I am on an extremely tight budget and after paying over $5,400 for a 2 bedroom move, I found this to be an additional stress. I felt pressured and gave them a $50 tip, however, in the end this tip in no way improved their performance. We had a scheduled date of arrival (pre-arranged by Christy), however the second crew (only 2 movers this time) insisted that they arrive earlier than scheduled as they were late and in a hurry. I was unable to accommodate them and really who should be accommodating who? So, when they arrived, they were very hurried and actually had my 10 year old daughter lifting stuff of the truck! And again, they kept talking about receiving another tip!!!!!!They left numerous items behind at the old house and drove off with my stepladder. I was dissatisfied with their rushed approach. They acted as if they were being inconvenienced. Also, since there were in such a rush, they bumped furniture against the walls and did not put labelled items in their proper places. I would NOT recommend these movers. I have moved many times in my life and I have had far better experiences with both big and small moving companies. In fact, I feel like I really got ripped off.

I was needing movers at the last minute. I called them the Thursday before and they were able to get me for the following Monday. I paid a $400 deposit for one truck and a crew of three when I made the reservation. The remainder of the cost would be paid upon completion of the move. The movers drove up Monday morning and arrived on time (by 10:30AM). They were friendly and professional. They packed my belongings well and were careful with loading items onto the truck. By early afternoon I was packed and ready to be moved. They drove my belongings down to my relocation city (2 hour drive). My belongings were unloaded at two different locations. They unloaded my belongings at the appropriate locations and wrapped up by 6:00PM. The crew was very good to talk and work with. I'd recommend them and use them again.
