Fitzgerald Southern Construction

Description of Work: Southern Construction was hired to build a barn on our property in Cookeville, TN. Their principal represented himself as Chris Johnson. We since learned his real name is Chris Fitzgerald. The company was wired $9,000 for a deposit on the project. Chris and his crew came out to the TN property for three days and actually did some work. They then left to "get lumber in Georgia," their home state, and never returned. During the three days they were on site they requested additional monies be wired to them which resulted in the $23,000 total. After repeated emails, phone calls, and snail mail, Southern Construction would not answer our calls or emails. In fact all working telephone numbers we had for them were disconnected. We filed a complaint with the D.A. in our county in TN. They have issued a warrant for Chris Fitzgerald because he rented a bobcat and other equipment in Cookeville with a check on a closed account. He is still at large.
