I have been in the construction industry for 25 years and have done all types including residential,commercial,and high end estate homes.I don't charge for estimates or travel time under 25 miles.I usually give estimates for larger projects and charge 60.00 an hour for misc.repairs.My specialties are interior trim and painting.

"Stair runner was installed crooked and nails poking thru carpet. I have been trying to get it fixed for 6 months. Do not sign anything they give you unless you are 100% satisfied and you have read the paperwork. The second crew that came out to look at the issue tried to get me to sign a form. They said "it just says that we came out". That is not what it said. It said that the problem was fixed and that there are no more issues. They show up and say they will come back, then they don't come back. They took the remnant of my carpet to bind and "fix" the problem when they come back. Then, they didn't come back. And after each time they don't show or show and don't fix it, I get a text asking if I'm satisfied. Each time, we call and say we are not satisfied. There is no end to this experience. I am going for a full refund from Home Depot and asking them never to use this company again."

"I DO NOT recommend Jeff at Ace Window and Screen repair. Don't waste your time and choose another company if you need your window screens redone or replaced. He does not follow through on agreements nor does he meet his own deadlines. He does not hold true to his word!! BACKGROUND: On 1 Nov 2019, we set up a date for him to come by and measure our windows and discuss replacing the screens, which he did not show up. I called and set up another date, he apologized and he showed up for that time, which was 5 Nov. We made a verbal agreement that I would hire him on 15 Nov, and he would be back out that weekend to remeasure and finalize the measurements. He didnt show up. I called him 21 Nov, he said he would be out before Thanksgiving and he didnt show up for that date either. I waited till the new year and called him 14 Jan 2020. Again I got the run around. Called him once again on 23 Jan. He said he was just right up the road and he would swing by that afternoon. Again, nothing. I called him for the last time, 11 Feb and got the run around again. Again, steer clear from this company and you would be better served going with another company. He always had an excuse, never met his own deadlines, and never lived up to his word. He stood in my house and raved his A+ BBB rating. Could have fooled me."

My name is Kent Vanattia, I am the sole owner of Arlis Home Services. What I'll tell you here, is how I came to choose this career path. I was born in Hillsboro, TN. My family owned a dairy farm. Grandpa had his own cattle but he and my Uncle also ran a "milk route". They picked up milk from other farms all over middle TN. We delivered it to a processing center along with our own milk. I learned to take care of the equipment on this farm not long after I could walk. Along the milk route, it soon became obvious to me, even as a young boy that proper maintenance sure saved a lot of time and trouble. That lesson served me well throughout my life. As a very young man, I joined the service. I found it easy to fall into a structured routine, I grew up that way. Later as I learned various trades my attention to detail and regimented style of learning and doing made it easy for me to retain and reuse my new found knowledge. And today, as I comb over a cabin for signs of potential problems or I am building a deck or other project ... I find it's the lessons of my youth that keep me on track. I named my business Arlis, because it was my dad's name. He's not with me anymore and I miss him. My Dad never did anything half-way. So naming my business after him reminds me of the lessons he taught.
