We have contacted the company to correct the issue and they have given us the run around for almost 3 months. They have sent someone out who acknowledges all the issues with the poor quality work including poor alignment, however they provide excuses for not finishing the work or repairing the soffit or fascia area. Their company scheduled over a half a dozen appointments and never showed up or called to reschedule. "In all fairness, I cannot recommend this company as our experience with them was horrendous and we still have unresolved issues that we do not have the wherewithal to continue to fight the company to rectify. We hired The Painting Company to paint the exterior of our rather large 1.5 story home, which included applying two coats of paint on the body and trim, repainting wrought iron railings, gates, and an exterior wrought iron spiral staircase. We were under the assumption that the painters were employed by The Painting Company and under the supervision of the Project Manager assigned to our job. We later discovered that the painters are subcontractors and the project manager is not on site nor comes to the site to check the work. The first "professional crew" sent to our home consisted of a supposedly experienced painter, a middle-aged woman, and a teenaged boy, neither of whom had painting experience. The painter began to spray paint our home before doing any of the prep work, which would have included replacing wood, sanding, caulking and extensive sanding and prepping of the iron staircase, and properly covering the glass windows, doors and brick patio and plants. When I questioned the painter, he brushed off my concerns, including my concerns about the paint he was getting on my new light fixtures, windows and brick patio. Concerned about the quality of the work and the two unqualified "painters," I asked the painter to stop working and called the Company. The project manager came out and told me that this was a new "crew" and he was unaware that the woman and teenager would be there. He promised that a new crew would arrive the next morning. However, a new crew did not come until 2 days later, and as we were having out of town company and a party over July 4th, the delay meant that the house would be in a state of disarray. The new crew was much more professional, however, they also continued painting prior to doing the sanding and prep work on the wood, the iron railings, and staircase, which meant that sawdust, black iron dust, and iron chips were now all over the new paint. They also told me that they would not paint the removable window grids as that was "inside painting" and there was an extra charge. They also only painted one side of the shutters so the old color was evident between the slats. I was at work when the painters finished the job and that evening, I got a phone call from The Painting Company asking for payment. I told them that I wasn't even aware that the work was finished and that I expected the Project Manager to walk the job with me so we could go over the quality of the work and do a punch list, and also, that I would receive an itemized bill, especially as the amount they asked me for was higher than the amount I believed I owed. And when the bill did arrive, I discovered that they failed to credit me for the second deposit I made, which was why there was a $2400 discrepancy between the verbal amount they asked for and the amount my records showed. Then, the Project Manager did not show up for the walk-through, only one of the painters. As I pointed out areas that needed attention, I got pushback. The painter objected to removing the paint splatters and overspray from the windows, French doors, brick patio, walkways, rubber, thresholds, and light fixtures as he claimed the other painter did it, not them. He did agree to "wipe down" the numerous (too numerous) areas that had sawdust, black iron dust and iron chips embedded in them and do touch-up upon areas they missed. There were also dents in the gutters from the placement of the ladders without cushioning behind them, which he also blamed on the previous painter. As the painter and I could not come to an agreement, I demanded that the Project Manager show up. He finally did, and I went over the punch list with him and he promised that all of the items would be done, including a semi-power wash of the brick patio to remove the overspray and paint splatters. Prior to the punch-llst being completed, I received numerous emails and calls asking for payment, which I found totally obnoxious as the work had not been completed and they were giving me pushback on completing it. As I had to be at my office, I left the oversight of the work to the Project Manager, trusting that he understood my dissatisfaction, and would make sure the work was done correctly. Later that afternoon, I received a call informing me that the work had been done and again asking for payment. I complied and paid in full. I then inspected the work when I returned home and discovered that there are still many areas that were not done. I still have dented gutters, there is a coating of white overspray paint on all of my windows and doors, and I have black iron dust and iron chips embedded in the new paint, along with paint splatters everywhere. I'm also worn out and no longer have the stamina to continue to fight with The Painting Company."

"On May 4, I met with a Field Inspector (Salesman) from Aquaguard regarding a leak that I had in my basement. He advised that I needed to have my son move some dirt around my foundation to fix the leak in the basement. I found out from a landscape company that fixed the cause of the leak that this would have made it worse. However the Field Inspector recommended new gutters (which I agree were needed), poly-renewal to fix the cracks in my driveway, and column lift for the column in the middle of my garage doors. These repairs were approximately $10,000. My problems started from there. The field inspector led me to believe the my house would be virtually unsaleable if I did not have the repairs completed. As a widow, without any knowledge of home repairs, I trusted what he said. Later I found out that the column lift and the crack repair in the driveway were not necessary. He completely missed a problem with my front porch being separated from the house. I paid a $2,900 deposit with work was to start on June 7. On June 7, The work on the column was completed. A member of the crew said that they were not sure why this was recommended. June 9, The driveway work was completed by a different crew. They arrived 3 hours earlier than scheduled. They said that they had seen much worse driveways. What I did not know was the the work that they do with the polypill does not repair the cracks. It only prevents them from getting worse, according the the Aquaguard crew. My driveway looks exactly like it did before I spent $1500 for repair. Also on June 9, the gutter repair crew arrived. They were scheduled for the afternoon, but arrived at 9:30 am. Following the gutter install, I walked around with the crew foreman. There was one downspout that was not attached to the gutter. I pointed this out to the foreman. He called someone over to fix that. This young man left a hammer in the yard, was told to pick it up, then threw it down in a different part of the yard. This was a preview of the problems to come. The following morning, I walked out on my deck to find it in complete disarray with rusty nails and a black roofing dust everywhere. I picked up over 40 nails. Nails that my grandchildren could have easily walked on. I found large gutter nails in my yard that could have caused injury to my lawn maintenance person or damaged his equipment. My deck furniture and rug were ruined. I sent a text to the scheduler (the only number I had) on Saturday. He did not respond. A supervisor Nick called me on June 13. He sent someone to my home on June 14 to help clean up and access the damage. The person that he sent was injured and could not do anything with his arm in a sling. He also came with no tools, equipment, paper to take notes, a camera to take pictures, nothing. He borrowed my broom and water hose to spray off my concrete patio. It was a nice gesture but absolutely no help at all. I sent Nick a list of items that were damaged. He said that they would take care of it, but there was no follow-up. He said that he wanted to come to my house to see the damage, but because of our schedules, he could not come for two weeks. I sent a text the week he was supposed to be back in town but did not hear anything. I cleaned my deck and replaced the items that were damaged so that I could use my deck. As of August 5, nearly two months after the initial work was completed, I have heard nothing from Aquaguard about them taking responsibility for the shoddy work and irresponsible work ethic of their gutter crew. I am terribly disappointed in this company and would not recommend them to anyone. Additionally, I was overcharged by $2900. "Within less than 6months of installing our roof, we had a leak that Northpoint had to come back to fix. Then in less than a year and half, the new gutters they installed were overflowing which led to damage to our property that will require repairs of up to 10K. Our entire dining room flooring which had just been newly remodeled, had to be taken off, and the drywall on the adjacent walls ripped off for repairs. We have never had such a terrible experience. First they claimed it was the leafguard which they had recommended placing. So they removed the leaf guard but later found that the downspout from the gutters were also cloggedd due to sediments from the residues of the roof. They agreed to pay for the repairs but once the repairs had began they pulled out claiming that they are not responsible. I have recording and texts to show they were willing to pay and are now trying to find a way out."
