THE CLEANING AUTHORITY

Brianna & Haley are our regular house cleaners. Their cheerful attitudes brighten our day on every one of their visits. They go to work quickly, efficiently and professionally. When they are done, the house is spic and span! They make our lives much easier and make our home more pleasant. We love Brianna & Haley and are well pleased with Cleaning Authority, Chattanooga.

I cannot speak to The Cleaning Authority in other locations, but the company out of Decatur is not worth the money. To be fair, I tried them more than once, but the quality of their service is simply poor. I had to point out cobwebs left in the corners, areas not vacuumed, tables not dusted, etc. Things specified on their work order were not done. For example, I don't believe the baseboards were ever wiped down, even though it was agreed upon as part of the service. If you only want a "once over lightly" job, then they are fine, but then the price should be lower.

On their first visit they were to do a detailed clean of the kitchen and bathrooms. Baseboards were not wiped, microwave not cleaned, counters missed, cabinets and door facings not wiped. They did a general clean of the rest of the house, leaving cobwebs on the walls and dust balls on the floor. Laminate and hardwood floors looked worse after they "cleaned" them. They didn't use enough cleaner, the floors were left dull and smudged. My daughter had to re-do them after they left. On the 2nd visit we had to listen to constant complaining about how there was no way they could do this job in 2 hours. Dirty damp rags were left all over my house. They managed to break the drain in one bathroom (which will require a plumber to fix.) They were scheduled to come between 10 & 11, but on the day of their scheduled third visit, no one showed up. I called the company and learned they rescheduled me for 3:30 without telling me. I think this was a way to cut the time needed to clean my house.

Their service is terrible. In a short amount of time, they damaged two house hold items beyond repair. The frustrating thing is that they did not even admit to the damage and apologize. I had to track down the owner both times. They left my home unlocked two different times. I spoke to the owner and he was completely unwilling to problem solve with me. All I wanted was to figure out a way to remind the cleaning crew to lock the doors. He was more interested in denying that the doors had been left unlocked. The final straw was that a key that I had left for them came up missing. I cannot say for certain what happened to it. However, given their track record, I think the possibility exists that they misplaced it. The owner refused to acknowledge that his crew may have lost the key. He would not help pay for part of the cost to get the locks changed. He was very argumentative and difficult to work with. I would not let this company into your home!
