Our experience with Housworth Roofing was great from the initial visit until the work was completed. Richard, the sales representative, followed through on the project from the initial estimate all the way through the finished work. He explained everything upfront, gave us detailed estimates of the work and ensured the work was completed to our satisfaction. The work was done in a professional manner in a single day by a team of workers who treated us and our house with respect. They cleaned up after the job was done. This was the second time we have used Housworth and will be using them again.

When we first moved into our house we knew that the roof needed repair and began locating a company to take care of it. We were impressed with the reputation of Housworth Roofing as we were researching them. We were very pleased with our experience from the initial contact with their office throughout the entire project. We were promptly contacted by their sale rep, Richard who was pleasant, patient and very respectful to us. He made sure we understood our options, handled all the details of the product delivery, scheduling of the roofing team and follow-up after the work was completed. The team worked steadily and took great care when they cleaned up at the end of the job. They actually combed the yard with a large wheeled magnet to pick up any roofing nails that had made it into the yard. It has been many years since our roof was installed and we are still very pleased with their work. It was nice to see that they also honor their warranty regarding completed work. We had one small issue near an exhaust pipe that needed to be revisited several years later since some water was making its way in. They came out right away and corrected it. We also had them back again to do a gutter installation which we were very pleased with their work again.

In January of last year, we chose to use Housworth because they were listed on Angie's List. We were NOT disappointed! After hearing several sales pitches by roofing companies promising that THEY could and WOULD get us a new roof because of the damaged caused by storms in the area, we simply got fed up. We filed 2 unsuccessful insurance claims that led us no closer to this new roof that every house around us seemed to be getting! We wanted someone to just tell us their honest, professional and no non-sense advise...and that's what we got with Housworth! Richard came to our house to evaluate the repairs that we needed on our roof. He was honest, thorough and extremely personable! His professionalism and genuine concern for us as customers without the cheesy sales pitch! Richard took the time to explain to us how the process worked and what the insurance companies looked for when they evaluated roofs for replacement. He showed us pictures of our roof, the repairs that were needed AND BEFORE AND AFTER shots of all the work that was performed!!! WE WERE IMPRESSED! We had seen before pictures...but never AFTER pictures!! When Richard left, we felt that we had a better understanding of the condition of our roof and how much time we had to consider to replace its entirety. We didn't feel as though we were pressured into having to make a decision right then and there on the spot with the salesman pressure pitch! He understood and communicated that as a homeowner himself how home repairs can take a toll on the family budget and gave us the time to consider all of our options! Even after 18 months of having performed those repairs, Richard came back today to re-evaluate our roof (at our request) and to make/suggest additional repairs for us. Thank you Housworth!

The size of my house was an issue. It was only one guy every time the came to work not a team. Some days he wouldn't show up even on nice sunny days. If he would have came on the days he could have come and worked it would have done in a week's time. The job turned into almost a month long deal. The originial foreman called and asked me for money even though they were already behind on the job. One of the workers came and asked me where the foreman was because he hadn't been paid. They sent me a nice beautiful picture of a team painting a house and they never even sent a team.

Great job. They helped me prove to my Homeowners Insurance Co. that I did in fact have hail damage. They went on the roof with my Insurance adjuster and pointed out the area's of damage, they couldn't deny it like they had twice before. They replaced all the turbine vents with ridge vents and put water/ice barrier in all the valley's. I got a much better roof then the original one the builder installed. I had to pay out of pocket for the architectural shingles, ridge vents and the water barrier but it was well worth it. They did it in one day, and did a great job cleaning up. I'm completely satisfied.

Shannon from Houseworth handled the repairs to my roof, which included pulling up a section of the deck, repairs to the roofing tiles and sealing any hairline cracks or other possible areas for water to enter the house. He and his team did a great job (no leaks so far and it's been a rainy couple of months!) with the repairs, while also keeping costs to a minimum. I would definitely refer him to anyone with similar problems.

They showed up on time. They were very quick. They got the job done in 2 days. They cleaned up their mess. They were very good. They know what they’re doing. They went over the yard to make sure there weren’t any nails and stuff left around. They did a really good job. What I didn’t like about them was that there was some confusion about the bill after they finished. They came back with an additional $800. Overall, they did an excellent job. They explained the additional charge to my satisfaction. Their price was in line with what the insurance company recommended.

Housworth Construction Inc. had a prompt response. They did what they said they would do. They did follow-up to make sure everything was done properly. They were very professional. Overall, it was a good experience.

This was my first time EVER having the experience of replacing a roof ! . . . . and I am pleased to report that my expereince with Housworth Roofing and Construction was exceptionally positive ! From the front office to the roofing crew, each interaction was professional and offered EXCELLENT customer service. The front office patiently guided this "roof novice" throughout the process, with timely responses to any inquiry, which really eased my anxiety. The front office, working with me, scheduled the install date. The install date arrived and day one's work was impressive. The materials were delivered, the dumpster arrived and the work crew showed up, all well before 8 in the morning ! The crew worked tirelessly, till sun down. Not only am I very happy with the final product, I am also impressed with the cleanup job of the roofing crew. My beautifully landscaped yard was left in great shape! I would not hesitate to recommend Housworth Construction to family friends, and neighbors.

Overall, I was pleased. I had to pay for this out of my pocket and so did not have the best attitude going in. Richard was the representative of the company who supervised the project. He was personable, sincere and responsive from the beginning. I did have to stay on them after the fact about cleaning up around the yard. I have never had a roof replaced before and was very concerned at the amount of material left laying around: Scraps of Tar paper and shingles and literaly hundreds of nails. To their credit, they sent folks back twice after they were done to make sure I was satisfied with the clean up. Calls were returned promptly. Service tech recommended purchasing a roof tune up package which would also include filling all toe board holes, include caulking, and replace all vents for $1695 rather than spend $900 to fix just the leak in one area. The cost of the tune up can be applied to a future roof replacement.

I called them concerning a minor roof repair since my roof was under warranty. I played telephone tag for several days before finally speaking to someone. A couple of weeks later someone was scheduled to come out and look at the roof. Chase came out and promptly took care of the issue.

From beginning to end I was very impressed with Housworth's professionalism. Richard came out for the initial quote and was able to point out a number of damaged shingles and even found a previous patch that had been done poorly by a different company (since received a refund for that patch job). We actually had three companies come out to give us quotes and not only was Housworth the cheapest, they were also the most professional in terms of arriving when expected and walking through the damage and what they saw. After my insurance company approved the replacement Housworth was able to schedule me quickly (I actually had to push it back due to family visiting, or else it would have been even earlier) and were able to complete the job in one day. Luis, the site manager, was also extremely professional and kept me appraised of any developments (they needs to buy a plank due to some wood damage) and was extremely accommodating in coming out to do the final walk around and then later come by to pick up the final check. All-in-all I was so impressed with Housworth's professionalism and quality/price of work that I had them replace my chimney cap (builder's poor workmanship) and have them in my contacts for any future jobs that may come up.

Tree fell during a windstorm breaking through the roof decking and rafters on the front of my house. Half the tree split off and slid down the roof on the side of my house. Insurance company sent out " prefered " contractor to do the estimate. He was proffessional and thorough but the company only had 1 review on Angieslist and it was a bad one. Decided to get 3 estimates from highly rated roofers in North Fulton. One company did a great inspection but would not send me their estimate unless I sent them the confidential report from my insurance company. Another company did a 15 minute inspection and was sure they could salvage most of the rafters and patch half of the front roof but " don't worry about the side, it looked fine." He was by far the cheapest but I had no confidence in their judgement. Called Housworth and got Richard to come out for an inspection. He showed me all the damaged lumber and sheathing in the attic and recommended replacing the shingles on the entire front as well as the side. ( there were actually many punctures on the side where the tree slid off). The estimate was lower than the insurance approved amount and I was impressed with the attention to detail. The crew showed up early with supplies and dumpster. They tore off the damaged shingles, repaired the damaged wood, and replaced the shingles as good as new by the end of a very long day. I needed to replace my old gutters and since insurance was paying for 80 feet I decided to do the whole house. The next day the crew tore off the old gutters, repaired many sections of rotted fascia and installed seemless gutters all around... again all in 1 long day. Everything came out great and the company ensured I was completely satisfied... even helping me with insurance paperwork. Fast, honest and proffesional

I have dealt with numerous contractors with four houses and Housworth is the best of the best. Super professional and about the best customer service that you could ask for. They came exactly when they said they would and accomplished all of the repairs in an outstanding manner. I have never seen anyone as concerned about customer satisfaction as Richard. Things happened very quickly with a minimal impact on our lives considering all of the work that was done. First class service and a first class job. If all contractors were this good you wouldn't need Angie's List. Would I recommend them to my neighbors? Yes, I already have.

I'm not happy that they track me down for my business, but I cannot get someone to come out when I have a request and my roof is under warranty. That is unacceptable. I will never recommend them to anyone else because customer service is important throughout the entire course of the relationship, not just when you want my business and when you want to get paid. They have been less than diligent and certainly not a company that I would ever recommend. Update 3/25/2013 The owner has reached out to me and sent someone to evaluate the roof. They have given the review and informed me that can come out in the future if need be. I appreciate the follow up.

This was a nice experience. This went very well. They took off $50 for my Angie's List coupon.

We purchased a house in Oakhurst that closed on January 31st. The inspection turned up a roof leak that needed to be fixed in 1 week. I called Housworth with the situation. They were able to do an inspection and make the repairs before closing (3 trips total). Shannon was excellent to deal with and made sure everything was fixed correctly. This included flashing, soffet repair and painting. The problem was a slow leak that we would not have found for years, after it had done major damage. The seller paid for the work but they were familiar with Angies List and approved our selection with no problem.

They did an excellent job. Mark was professional, personable, thorough, and efficient. They were very punctual and had reasonable prices. They also came back later to do a follow up which was very impressive. I would use their services again as needed and I would highly recommend them to others.

Quick response to my phone call. Representative arrived on the agreed times before and during the contract. quick inspection and estimate. No pressure. easily worked via email and tel. courteous enough to let me know if there was going to be a delay.

Got their name from a friend who had an initially positive experience. They were quick to get initial estimate, which at time was among the better but not the best from the estimates. Went with them due to rep Then, found their communication prior to work to be ok-a little slow but not overly bad. Their problems were in the details. For example, day of work started ok and most of the work went ok. Big problem was that our satellite antenna was on roof and they could not or did not handle its presence. They didn't get it attached properly or sealed and I was forced to get other people out to not only get the antenna set up properly but I had to get someone else to seal around the antenna. They were of no help and didn't really try to help resolve issue. However, they still get a C since the roof has not leaked to date. Moreover, quality and ability to handle problems does not seem to be isolated incident as neighbor informed me that they had problems with leaks a few months after installation and trouble getting fixed. Update: It needs to be pointed out that at no time during the estimate did Housworth mention any problems with a sat dish on the roof- I was there when they looked at the roof. Moreover, they LEFT it on the roof- just partiallyunattached which was the worst thing they could do since it was loosely attached to the roof. Their response would worry me worse than their actions.

Overall everything went well. (They did come back to correct one small item that I was concerned about - but they were timely with their response.) The salesman seemed to be honest and work crew were on time.

Being a project manager myself, I contacted 6 of the best Angie's list contractors that performed all of the following work in my area to perform scope analysis and bids for comparison and ultimate selection: exterior paint, interior paint & drywall, siding and exterior trim repair, roof replacement, exterior deck design and build. Housworth's was not only the first to respond with complete estimates presented in a clear and uniform fashion, but they were one of the most competitive on price. During the initial walkthrough and subsequently in all interactions, Richard was very nice and took his time explaining to me where there were issues with our roof and siding and even pointed out why our trim continued to rot even after having been recently replaced and repainted in several areas just a few years before by another contractor. Richard's suggestions for correction modfied the scope and cost of the project and in response I updated all bidders including previous bidders who had failed to point out these areas of issue and had failed to include these corrections in thier bids. In short, Richard prevented me from making another mistake in my repairs and thus saved me $$ in the long run even though it meant he might not be the lowest bidder and might lose the contract. This showed me that Housworth had integrity and believed in high quality. RIchard also worked with me on the cost and though Housworth was not the cheapest, I felt strongly that choosing them would save me $$ in the long run and that no matter what I could trust them with what would turn out to be a very large and costly project in financial terms for our family. While onsite, the Housworth team worked long hours, keeping the project on schedule even though we had multiple days of rain that impacted their productivity. They even had painters come in over one weekend and work on a Sat and Sun to keep us on schedule, since all work had to be completed prior to us leaving to go out of town for Thanksgiving holidays. Housworth assigned an onsite project lead (Louis) who coordinated all efforts with the painters and roofers to ensure things went smoothly. Louis called me daily to let me know the status on the project, what the next steps were and always contacted me when there were questions, concerns or otherwise. While replacing the roof the installers noticed that the previous roof installer had failed to install baffling underneath the decking, preventing proper ventilation, increasing greatly the heat buildup and no doubt a major contributor to why my existing 30-yr architectural roof was needing replacement only after 15 yrs. With minimal labor cost and providing the baffling at cost, Housworth made the adjustment to ensure that the thousands of dollars investment I was making in a new roof would last and stand the test of time. This was greatly appreciated. The paint work was a real challenge as I'd perviously mentioned how large the house is and how much trim work there is. Housworth ALWAYS primers everything they paint to ensure that paint will last as long as possible. Also, we chose to use Sherwin Williams Duration paint for its quality and lasting reputation, however, it is well known throughout the industry that this paint is not well liked by painter due to its difficulty in application. It goes on very think and is hard to apply, but once it is on it lasts and lasts. Housworth, understanding that I was spending a lot of $$ and would not be able to do so again for many many years to come, did not penalize me and increase the bid cost when I chose this paint. I give Housworth top praise and recommendation to anyone who has to take their hard earned $$ and invest it into their home for repairs and improvements.

From the start, Housworth Roofing and Construction were professional and responsive. I requested a roofing quote the first part of September. I noted that I would like the job completed in November. They worked with me on timing and waiting on my HOA for approval. The office personnel are exceptional; both Stephanie and Jennifer went the extra mile to ensure the HOA received the shingle samples for approval. Housworth offered to deliver the samples to the HOA. On the day of installation, the crew showed on time and laid down tarps around my home; moving items around the home to ensure they were not damaged. At the end of the day they thoroughly cleaned around my yard and driveway. The manager, Mark Mitchell, was on the job the majority of the day. Mark ensured at the end of the day that the work performed was satisfactory and walked around my property to evalute that there was no damage and the property was clear of any debris. Overall, would give Housworth Roofing and Construction an A++ for workmanship and price. I had three roofing contractors quote my roof; Housworth's cost was in the middle. What made my decision was the professionalism of their company - which carried through the entire project. In fact, now I am having them quote me on the remodelling of my kitchen.
