Price was much higher than expected.

The person who gave the quote for my roof was very professional. Came out on time and gave me detailed quote which included the details and documentation on the roofing method. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the company and specifically the person who quoted the project. All other roofing companies were late or asked what other quotes were given and they would undercut that price. No mention of materials, assurance of a job well done, etc. Housworth took the time to review the product, materials and any questions I had on the reroof job. They arrived on time of the day for the reroof, the roofing manager kept me appraised of the job during the day and they cleaned up after the job was completed. I plan on remodeling my kitchen and putting in a sunroom. They will be the first on my list for a quote!

The quality of the work was great! Everyone who has seen what they have done has been amazed at the outcome and we are very happy with it. The reason I rated the professionalism as a B is that there were days in which we were told someone would be here and was not, in their defense most of these days were during the ice storm and I hoped they would not come. My issue was that no one called me to tell me when I could expect them next or that they were not coming. The foreman on the project seemed a bit new to the job, so I chalked it up to a learning experience for him. The project ended up a few days over the planned timeline, but this again was more due to the weather issues than anything else. I still recommend them for the job as they do a great job and make sure the finished product is perfect.

All I needed was the trim around the door replaced. They said that I would have to buy a new door in order for them to do the frame. I didn’t want a wood frame because it would rot, so they replaced it with a vinyl frame. But the trim is still rotting. After one year, I am having the problems that I had after 10 years before.

It was in summer. I think I already did the review, and I think that was the name of the company. Don't remember the actual cost, but it was reasonable as compared with other bids

The service was prompt and professional. In the future if I need to get my roof replaced I would definitely call this company to do it.

Richard the sales rep was very-very helpful in explaining the entire roofing process and the different options associated with the product line. Housworth was the only firm out of 5 that had the quote for the job ready when Richard left. When the decision to go with Housworth was made and a date set for the job things did not go exactly according to plan. First; all the materials were not delivered (gutters and screens) on time. The dumpster was towed in by the crew rather than left the night before as planned, and it went into the yard rather than the drive way, ( no big deal really) but not planned. I was not able to take off from work that day so all communications with the crew leader was by phone, he on speaker so understanding was a bit tough but doable. They were supposed to start around 7am I don't if that was so but the crew was not finished with the roof until dark, with clean-up the next day after the gutters arrived and were installed. Also I was not informed the crew would need access to electric outlets for their air compressors. The were able to find a couple of outlets but tripped one breaker before I got home and was able to plug them into different lines. Had I been informed electric was needed I could have set things up for the crew before I left for work. I never saw the crew leader until 5 days after the job when he came by for the job signoff and to pick up the leftover materials. This was after he missed the first scheduled signoff without letting me know he would not make it. Over all the roof and gutters were a quality job with quality materials. The price was competitive with the other estimates. The "B" rating is for the poor communications. I have yet to hear from Housworth on a follow-up now almost two weeks since the job was done.

The guys worked like a well oiled machine. They arrived on time , were very polite and got the work finished quickly . The quality of their work both inside and outside , was outstanding. Before they left , all debris from the roof was removed from the yard.

This project was multi-faceted and, as mentioned above, included a completely new roof, new siding, new gutters and downspouts, and painting. From the beginning, Housworth made sure they understood what we wanted and how we wanted the work done. They provided estimates and selection of materials and worked with us to answer any questions. I have to say these folks do good work. They paid attention to details and made sure any questions or issues were addressed quickly. They work quickly, but don't take short-cuts. The new roof wasn't just put on the house - it was put on better than the original had been. Water and ice barriers were added where appropriate and the actual roof installation itself was done well. They even painted roof vents black to match the roofing better. As for the house siding, the team removed the old, deteriorating siding and repaired areas that had water damage or rot. They installed house wrap (which wasn't originally on the house), and they installed the new siding IN THE PROPER MANNER. They didn't just face nail the planks the way the original siding had been done. The followed the procedures for installation as put out by the James Hardie company. All the trim was replaced and then they took their time caulking and painting. The same goes for the gutter work. Facia was replaced as needed and the new aluminum gutters went up quickly, using hangers rather than nails. They also installed Gutter Glove covers on the gutters and added new downspouts to better distribute the water flow. Once all the jobs were complete, the team cleaned up and inspected the work with us. I was very impressed by the quality of work performed and the attention to detail. Everything looks great and I feel we good quality work for a reasonable price.

They were excellent. They were very professional, personable, and were willing to work with us and our insurance company. They were very prompt and did an excellent job with the roofing and cleaning. They came back a couple of times and made sure everything was working correctly.

Shannon came out and was very knowledgeable and professional, answered all our questions. He even sent me a photo to my I Phone showing me the problem. Came back a few days later and completed the job. We are very satisfied, will do business again with them. They were very quick to come out to find the problem and repair it in a timely manner.

Great. Guys were competent and fast. Luis, sales rep was great. Will use them again in a heartbeat if the occasion arises.

I purchased the $1,499 Big Deal for house painting job. On their ad, they claimed it was a $2,499 worth special deal. Then I asked them to come by my house to give an estimate and so they did on 10/9/2013. After that, I waited for two weeks and had to call them again. They finally sent me the estimate. The estimate of the whole painting job was $3,260.89. Then they simply deducted $1,499 (the amount I paid for the special coupon deal) and asked for the extra $1,761.89. I came to the understanding that they simply treated the $1499 as a prepaid credit, not a special deal any more. All they did was to use the Big Deal coupon to lure me into business. Then they would just tell me my job was beyond the special deal and they would need to charge extra. Then they gave me a full/regular estimate and simply deducted the money I already paid and asked for the extra. This way they totally dodged the obligation for the Big Deal. Very sleazy!!!!!

Housworth previously installed a new roof, gutter guards and painted the exterior of my home. That was approx. 6 years ago. Recently, I noticed a couple of areas in my home that showed signs of leaking when it rained. I called the company, asked if I was covered under warranty and they said yes and would send someone out to evaluate it. The appointment was setup in a timely manner and Luis (field mgr) and the actual roofer evaluated the areas and worked to fix the problem areas on the spot. Luis stated that they would come back if there were any other problems with those areas and would make it right! Additionally, the roofer cleaned off some debris from the roof while he was up there. I was quite pleased with the customer service from Housworth, especially since it's been over 6 years since the original work was completed.

Shannon was very professional. Answered all our questions, and provided visual documentation of work needed, as well as work completed. We are very happy with the work provided and will definitely be using Housworth for additional work. The rest of the gutters on our house need to be replaced with larger gutters, the front entrance door and trim needs replacing, and the palladium window in our dining room needs replacing as well all due too small gutters used when the house was built. The gutters could not hold the amount of water runoff causing overflow along the length of gutters. I will definitely be calling Housworth back for estimates, and most likely will use them again. I gave them a "B" on price, but they were the lowest estimate from all estimates received. They were professional, on time, and did the repairs in the amount of time quoted. They also gave us a 1 year warranty of the work they provided. Of course, there were warranty limitations such as "Acts of God, including hail storms. Wind velocities greater than 60 mph on 20-25 year warrantied shingles. Traffic on roof or impact of falling objects. Installation of TV antennas on roof system." I am sure that other companies providing warranties would have same or similar limitations. I would definitely recommend Housworth Roofing & Construction.

We noticed a spot on the ceiling in a kitchen bump-out area. We contacted Housworth and two well-known and heavily advertised roofing companies. All three were punctual in their appointment times and thorough in their bids. While not the least expensive bid we felt that Housworth (Richard was their representative) was the most thorough and analytical of the group. Richard went above and beyond in the inspection process - providing detailed photos and answering all of our questions timely and efficiently. Richard constantly kept us in the loop through e-mail with detailed photos as the project went on so we were constantly informed. Clean-up was spot on with little trace that they were there. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the project. Not only would we highly recommend them - but we have contacted them for another project involving a leaking skylight (figures). Again Richard showed up timely (respecting my time and effort involved to meet mid-week) and performed another thorough examination (including a video - since quite frankly I'm too old and accident prone to scale my roof). At this point we will use them again - and they will be in the forefront of our minds when the time comes to replace our aging roof. In summation - timely, personable, honest and interested in building a long-term relationship - not just getting a job - I can say I'm impressed with Housworth at this time.

Came out to measured home. We sent detailed plans by email over. but never did hear back with quotes

a gentleman arrived on time, said very little, seemed to have a language issue, just looked around, no measuring, very minimal questions, so I started describing and showing what we wanted and asked questions about how they would do. Basically all he said was no problem and yes sure. and then left. i asked him if he would write up a quote and he said they would send one. we never received a quote. We were not asking for anything out of the ordinary, replace a few boards, sand floor, wash, stain. Won't pursue an estimate with them and will find another company. UPDATE: after this review posting we received a quote by email and then a phone message from Housworth apologizing. Unfortunately the quote did not include repairs that were needed in addition to the sanding, washing and staining and that were discussed with the gentleman that came out. we still will not use this compnay.

First of all, two thumbs up for Angie's List. I had heard about this web site for a few years and planned on giving it a try when I was ready to have some repairs done on my house. I am so glad that I did. I found the web site to be extremely user friendly and perfect for finding and using the ratings and customer reviews to determine which service providers to pursue for estimates. I highly recommend this site. I retired a short time ago and since fall with its cooler weather was here I decided it was time to start work on finding someone to replace my weathered roof, give my house a new paint job, and replace my deck which was literally falling apart. Using Angie's list I decided upon four roofing/contracting companies. I wanted to find a company which could perform all of the work in-house rather than obtaining sub-contractors. I believe this would provide better responsibility and accountability for the work done. For similar reasons I felt it best to choose a company with a "local presence". I selected the four companies based upon the above and those with the best ratings and reviews on Angie's List. I contacted all four companies requesting someone come out and provide estimates. All four companies’ representatives were prompt and punctual. They were all very knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Of those four companies, Housworth Roofing & Construction, Inc. was the one which met all my criteria. Richard Anderson, their Home Improvement Specialist was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I explained the work I wanted done. He asked questions and made suggestions which all seemed good to me. He spent a couple of hours with me and promised to provide estimates for me. I assumed he would go back to his office and return within a day or two. Much to my surprise he sat in his truck in my driveway and hammered out the estimates on his laptop and then emailed them to me then and there. He then came in and made sure I was able to access his estimates in my email inbox and went over them with me. I then told him I would review and compare them and get back to him within a couple of days. Some of the cost estimates from Housworth were slightly higher and some were lower. But the totals were very comparable between the four companies. After reviewing all the estimates from the four companies and finding that Housworth was the only one able to perform all the work I needed without having to bring in outside sub-contractors, I made the decision to go with Housworth. Upon notifying Richard Anderson he promised to have someone from their painting and construction crews to come out and discuss some of the minor details of what I wanted. This they did and again they impressed me with their knowledge and professionalism. After agreements were made, Richard said they would first come out that Friday and replace my chimney cap and take care of the siding, fascia, and soffit boards which needed replacing. Demolition of the old deck would also take place. All this they did as promised. The roofing crew was scheduled to begin Monday morning. Before sunrise, the roofing crew arrived and worked throughout the day. By sunset I had a new and beautiful roof. The architectural shingles Richard recommended made my roof look so much better than it had before. Even the ridge roof vent they installed was covered in the shingles rather than just bare metal. A perfect job done. The painting crew was scheduled next. Again, arriving before daylight, they began by scraping the cedar siding to remove any loose paint. This turned out to be a much bigger job than anticipated but they persevered and the result was all the old blistered cracked and peeling paint on the South side of my house being removed. After removing all my storm windows they pressure washed the entire house. They found additional fascia boards needing replacing and took care of them. They arrived early the next day, after the pressure washing dried overnight, and began the house painting. They had a large crew and I was impressed by the efficiency of their work. They all seemed to be very experienced and skilled in what they were doing. With little or no direction, they all pushed through the different stages of the job and I was totally surprised when, by the end of that evening, they had totally completed the work. Next, deck replacement. As usual, very early the next morning, a crew arrived to start the construction of my new deck. They worked throughout the day and by that evening the job was complete. This new deck is such a radical improvement over my old deck. The quality of the materials and the craftsmanship of the crew far exceeded my expectations. In fact this company, in total, has far exceeded my expectations in every way with each of the three projects. The crews were all very friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. Richard Anderson and the other team leaders were constantly updating and checking with me throughout the process. The amount of work I needed done was extremely stressful to me in the beginning. However, after Richard Anderson took charge of coordinating and making sure everything was done as agreed upon, what started out quite stressful turned into a pleasure. If someone had told me that I would be able to have a company complete all three projects within a week, I definitely would not have believed them. But this is exactly what Housworth has done. I am extremely satisfied and pleased with all the work Housworth has completed for me and highly recommend this company to anyone who needs and or wants high quality and professional roofing, construction, remodeling, or repair work done on their home.

Got estimates from three contractors and Houseworth (HW) was inline with the others. The estimator, Richard, was very professional during the walkaround; not only showed up on time, but asked questions so we were both on the same page and provided lots of information on the materials and warranties I could expect. Unlike some of the others, I received the email quote the next day. HW worked around my schedule and did the roofing and trim replacement in one day. All the siding was caulked as well - ready for paint. The HOA nazis took their time about approving my paint colors and we had to wait for the new doors to be delivered, but HW checked back occasionally until that happened and they were able to schedule me within a week of each milestone. My job supervisor, Louis, was very attentive during the entire process and addressed all of my concerns - even those that were so small I didn't think them worth doing. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave until I was completely satisfied. I will definitely will use them again.

The service was excellent. They showed up as expected worked for 2 days non stop to completely finish the job. All the workers were extremely professional. When all was done they left my home exactly as it was with the exception that it looked 100% better. I love this company and would not hesitate to use them again.
