We contracted and paid for this work on Dec 19, 2006 and it is still not complete (2/22). Our assigned contractor went out of business and the new contractor was unable to install our new hood vent opening. HD told us it was our problem and we had to hire an outside contractor and pay them out of pocket. HD reimbursed us for the increased price with a gift card instead of a dollar credit. We were also entitled to $750 gift card which I had to send legal notice in order to get them to pay. Our cabinets came in damaged the first time, the second time we found out that the design measurements (we paid $100) were incorrect and cabinets had to once again be re-ordered. We ended up having to install most of our appliances because the contractors kept saying that they didn't know how to do it. HD has worked with us on these problems after being threatened. The contractors have told me that others have waited as long as 3 months for their cabinets. Still waiting for cabinets and granite.
