I have now used Holtkamp twice and each time they rocked it. Much appreciated for response and quality.

We met with the Holtkamp salesman who explained all of our options in full detail. Fortunately, we were able to take advantage of special financing and we chose a 48 month payment plan at zero interest for our new system! On the removal/install day, 2 Holtkamp technicians arrived in a large Holtkamp van to begin the work. They worked from morning into the evening finally leaving around 8PM. They had to return the next morning due to the complexity of removing and reinstalling the attic unit. They installed a high efficiency, variable speed Trane system and after checking everything, they cleaned up, explained everything to us, signed the paperwork and then they left. We have enjoyed the new system for 4 months now and the difference from the old to the new is remarkable. The variable speed is so quiet that we cannot tell it is running most of the time! Holtkamp is a high quality company concerned with their customers total satisfaction. We even received a super nice gift basket after the installation was complete! Everyone we were in contact with were friendly and professional. Really made us feel comfortable dealing with them and after everything was done, we knew we made the right choice. Unless we move, we will probably not need their services anytime soon, but I have no hesitation in recommending Holtkamp Heating & Air Conditioning to our family, friends and neighbors.

The price was a bit high, but ultimately I was happy with the service. The crew arrived on schedule, they were very thorough with the installation, and they did a quality job without leaving a mess. In fact, it was almost as if they were never at the house.

They showed up when they said they would. They did a good job, they were very courteous. I had no issues.

We were very pleased with the service that we received. All of the employees were professional and friendly. The new system is much more efficient than our old one....we've been able to raise the temperature setting on the thermostat and the system doesn't run nearly as much as the old one did. We would definitely recommend Holtkamp to our family and friends.

We have been pleased with their service. They came out on a Saturday to repair a heater. I cannot remember if this was the same day we made the appointment or if we initially called on Friday. Either way, it was a quick turn around, and given the winter weather, we were glad to have our heater back! When the technician came, he was very courteous. We were informed that the price of what we needed fixed would be lower if we signed up for their maintenance plan. Some might think that is over-kill, but for us, it was worth it! The day before our maintenance was scheduled, our downstairs heater stopped working. Luckily, we were already on the schedule, and the fix for that one was a much simpler one. In fact, they didn't even charge us and said it was part of the routine. We've been happy with their service, continue to use them, and would recommend them. (We even met the owner at a local home show. It's nice to support locally-owned companies.)

We've been in our house for seven years and never had the furnace serviced. And we knew the furnace itself was really old, original with the house, so it was way past time to have it looked at. We initially went to home depot and signed up for their maintenance service but we weren't happy with the tech or company that HD sent out. So we wanted to find a second opinion which led us to Holtkamp. Holtkamp was head and shoulders more thorough in their inspection and more professional with their service than the previous company. With the previous company I felt like I was dealing with a sleazy used car salesman, I didn't feel comfortable with them or the tactics they used to try and sell me the furnace. But with Holtkamp I felt much more comfortable. They took the time to inspect the vents, measure the house, check the ducts, etc. The previous company didn't do any of those things. Also, even though the previous company made a big show about what a good deal they were giving me, how they would "throw in" this service and that service, ultimately Holtkamp was still much cheaper. The installation process also went pretty smoothly. There was a hiccup where we had the installation scheduled on a Tuesday only for the installer to realize he needed a second pair of hands for the job which required them to come back the next day. But I chalk that up more to the mess that our current furnace installation was than any real fault of the installer. Overall I was very pleased with Holtkamp and will definitely work with them when we inevitably need a new A/C unit to go with the new furnace. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable and courteous.

This morning when I woke up, my heat was completely shut off. I called this company Angie’s list recommended. Greg came out right away and fixed the problem. They were so wonderful! I was really VERY pleased with their services and would highly recommend them to anyone. And thank you Angie’s List for recommending this company to me.

DESCRIPTION: High humidity level in basement caused mold health problem. Basement is partially finished. Several HVAC and "dry basement" companies were interviewed. Each company proposed different solution to lower humidity. Prices varied greatly. Internet information recommends 45-55% level. Reference website: http://www.webwhispers.org/news/dec2000.htm. Stand-Alone Dehumidifier installed by Holtkamp. They were the only HVAC company that recommended a dehumidifier with a condensate pump connected into house drainage system. Others recommended dehumidifier connected to existing duct work with drain to exterior. Or whole house ventilation system. Prices varied greatly. POSITIVE: Holtkamp went above and beyond by providing a small portable dehumidifier until ordered unit was installed. Installer was HVAC professional. He arrived on time and did a neat and clean job. NEGATIVE: ? Follow-up was poor: I had to call their office the day before install to confirm appointment. A couple of days after the unit was installed I had to call because the unit did not turn off. It was running 24/7. They had me dial down the unit control set point within the "normal" range. The unit does not have a humidity gauge. I had to purchase two $10 digital gauges to monitor humiditiy/temperature level. They have not called to check if things are OK. ? Installation: Unit had to be raised off the floor so it can drain into condensate pump. Installer did not have "styrofoam blocks" used to raise the unit. He could not find them at the local ACE or Home Depot. I had to purchase a $40 hot water heater stand to place unit on. ? Miscommunication: Installer wanted to plug unit into existing outlet. I had discussed with salesman to have unit on a separate power line. Installer had to go out and purchase wire, circuit breaker etc. ? Estimate: Was not detailed. It was a check off form with total price. In hindsight I should have asked for detailed work description and/or gotten a competitive estimate.

I've used them for 5 or 6 years. They are a great company. They are very, very reasonable. Their servicepeople are great. The last four visits I've had the same serviceman. I live alone and that really means a lot for my comfort level to see the same person. They are an excellent company and I couldn't say enough about them. They stay a minimum of an hour when they are here doing the service and making sure that everything checks out even though it is just a normal service with no problems involved They still do a thorough check. I will absolutely continue to use them.

Excellent, just higher in price than other estimates. Will consider still based on good reputation on Angie's list.

The service technicians are very competent people. The bills people are not as terribly competent.

Holtkamp folks are family oriented and very pleasant to deal with. I have used them multiple times for service and a full install for my basement HVAC system. My main units were 14 years old and both died at the same time. They are very professional, courteous and respectful. I will always use them for HVAC.

They answered all of my questions pre-sale, provided a competitive price and did an awesome installation. I would highly recommend my new HVAC supplier to anyone.

Our A/C fan stopped yesterday afternoon (Sunday, of course). Called Holtkamp at about 7:15AM on Monday. They had a cancellation, so the tech could come right over. 45 minutes later, the tech was there and had the problem diagnosed. 15 minutes later the A/C was chillin' again. I will be giving Holtkamp a call soon to price a complete new HVAC system. Jason, Holtkamp tech, was prompt, courteous and had a great attitude. Also, LOVE that Holtkamp has embraced some of the latest technologies. This was a complete paperless transaction. THANKS!

Quick response. . They came out & fixed the problem quickly. Charged me regular, even though it was technically an after hours call.

I would recommend them to others. They are going to come back soon to check our air conditioning system. They did a good job. The quality of their work was good.

They have done professional work and are courteous. They have good follow up.
