Description of Work: They performed preventative maintenance on my 2 heat pumps. They found a part that was functioning at 10%, so they replaced it. I appreciate them finding that defective part before the start of air conditioning season.

Description of Work: Holtkamp replaced our 18-year-old units, sealed our ducts and installed a cover for our attic hatch. The whole process was professional from start to finish. They added a return to our master bedroom, which really cut down on the noise level. We also opted for the whole-home air filters, which seem to be helping with our allergies and asthma. The owner has high standards for quality, and it shows.

Description of Work: I phoned, and a pleasant person took my call and said a technician would be at my house between 2-4PM of the day I called. At 3:25 PM a nice looking young man named Drew showed up. Our heater was not engaging, and we suspected the thermostat. Drew inspected everything and determined the problem (a component was underpowered). He explained everything step-by-step and gave us our options. He fixed the problem quickly and told us what trouble we might have in future, what to look for, and what the next cost would be. We were very impressed by his clean look, pleasantness, logic, and professionalism. Two of his colleagues are coming tomorrow to look at our air conditioner (it has been problematic for 2-3 years). If Drew is typical of this company, then they are truly first rate people. Though he performed some labor task, he said it would be included in our service call price--$79.00. I wasn't sure this sort of workmanship and fairness existed anymore. This was an excellent experience.

 + -1 moreThey came out the day after I called to run a diagnostic. It had a Freon leak, and the coil replacement. They gave us a temporary fix to hold us over for the weekend, and it worked. Then they came out a week later and replaced it. Matt Holtkamp, the owner was the actual person that came in and he was very professional, and made sure that I saw his identification before me letting him in. The installers were also very professional, as well.

Description of Work: They did an energy home audit which included a blower door test, Manual J calculation, smoke test, etc. Jeff was very professional and spent time explaining what he was doing and making recommendations on how to make our home more energy efficient. Gave us a cost estimate for a new HVAC system and Aerosol for our ducts. The quote seems rather high so I am investigating other companies.

 + -1 moreThis appeared to be an excellent system, but the estimated cost was high. We were led to believe that the aeroseal duct sealing (a patented process) was a necessity, but no one from the company examined the ductwork except at the plenum. (Most of our ductwork is metal.) For a large house with leaky ducts, this company might be a good choice if you desire a high efficiency, upscale system.
Description of Work: The proposal was to install a Trane 60K XV80 furnace and XL16i 3-ton heat pump with matching coil. The ducts would be sealed with a process known as aeroseal. Warranty would be 10 years on compressor, 20 years on heat exchanger, 10 years on other parts, and 10 years for labor.

 + -1 moreWent well. Performed as described, sealed all attic AC ducts for 15 year old metal ducts. Made them air tight. Chalked around all ceiling AC vents. Expensive, but work was good. I had a tight time frame and they came the next day.
