+ -1 moreFirst off I would like to say George is a nice guy and I believe he truly means to do a quality job. However it has been 3 months since the painting was completed and there’s already many spots that are fading. They painted over dirt as the pressure washing cleaning job was not fully completed. All the work was done when I was at work and I wasn’t able to sit and watch and hold them accountable at that time. George and his crew had to come back out multiple times to touch up. When it clearly needed a 2nd spray coat. I would choose another contractor unless you enjoy painting missed spots due to their lack of attention to detail. I have attached some examples how what I’m dealing with that correlates to the quality of their work.

+ -1 moreI have used this company several times over the past 20 years to paint the exterior of my homes and have always been very pleased with their work. However I recently contacted them several times trying to get a quote on this job and after an email & 3 phone calls, have yet to get a call back. Not sure what is going on but it I'm very disappointed. If they're busy and can't get to it I understand but I should at least get a return call.

We saw him painting our neighbor's house and called him a year later when we were ready to have our house painted. They came with a folder with all their licensing and paperwork. They were very professional!

+ 0 moreThey were very professional, and fast, and squeezed us in to a very busy schedule. But we were not happy with the quality of the work -- some rooms only got one coat of paint instead two, and the detail work in the bathrooms along the baseboards. around cabinets, and on doors and door/window frames was sloppy -- I'm not sure if that was their work, or they just failed to correct the mess that the earlier contractor left. The job was for only certain rooms -- not the entire house -- but they charged us $2,397 for the job, where the first contractor charged much less for the whole house. Knowing that we were paying a much higher price per sq ft, we assumed the quality would be top notch -- but it definitely was not.
Description of Work: Took over the painting and detail work throughout the interior of our single-story house. The former contractor had done a terrible job of painting (especially the detail work along baseboards, around cabinets, doors, door frames, etc.), so we fired them, and asked George Holmes Painting to come in and finish the job.

+ -1 moreGeorge and his crew were timely and courteous throughout the process. We used the acrylic latex paint on the exterior and the home looks beautiful. We had a hole in our kitchen ceiling from water damage and after George's crew was done, you could not even tell where the hole had been.
Description of Work: Painting of entire exterior of 2-story home including trim and replaced trim areas that were rotted from moisture. Stained the fencing. Interior patch of ceiling from water damage and paint ceiling throughout 1st floor.

They cleaned up good and they got it done in the time that they said that they would get it done. They checked with us on things and they did not seem to try to rush in and rush out. I was pleased with their pricing.

+ -1 moreThey purchased wrong paint and began Painting it up high on a cloudy day and told me it would dry darker. It was supposed to be grey but it was pink. Took them two weeks to come back and correct it. Charged me double. I was so fed up I payed them but probably shouldn't have.
Description of Work: Asked for a color to be color matched to have house painted. Painters painted the front of the house trim up high on a cloudy day. They told me it would dry darker. When the sun came out it was not grey but taupe with a pink tinting. When I put my swatch up to it it was no where near the color! I approved it so I learned a valuable lesson but this should have been caught at the paint store. I asked for the house to be repainted and waited 3 weeks to get it done delaying my construction job as well. When they repainted it was windy and the overspray made a mess of my house. Had to pay $5 per window extra to the window cleaners to get my windows cleaned. There are white hand prints on my brick from the painters that still needs to be fixed.

+ -1 moreI submitted a report on this company before and rated him "A" on everything. I used him several times. This time he gave me a proposal to paint our fence and I agreed to the price. He told us what paint to buy, which I did and reported to his office where I left it. The job was never done. After 3 phone calls to ask when it would be started, I told them to let me know if they were still interested or not so I could get another painter. I still didn't hear back. This went on for about 2 months. If he later determined that he had bid too low he should have had the nerve to tell me. This is what I call unprofessional! I will not use this painter again.
