DS Murphy & Associates Inc

DS Murphy was my home inspection company and unfortunately I feel the dropped the ball with my home inspection . I did all inspections recommended by them looked a a pretty complete home inspection report . Mind you I am an out of state buyer and entrusting DS Murphy to do it right . Well closeting day comes we do a quick walk through A/C was off so my realtor turns on the unit and says it should be cold by the time we get done with the home inspection . Fast forward to the move in A/C not working come to find out tech tells us the unit could not have worked for a bit of time Home inspector missed that. Next found electrical panel was wired naturals with grounds on the same bars ,240v line to the dryer was wired with14 ga wire and a 20 amp breaker ( fire hazard ) . Water settling in gutter was caused by facial was totally detached from trusses causing this issue . These are all things I discovered in about four hours in the home . In my simple opinion this inspection company dropped the ball when it came to my inspection and now I am totally out of pocket with a bunch of issues that I feel they should of caught . I can not recommended nor will I use this company ! I am sorry to report that I will be filing a complaint with the state on this company . It has been a year since they inspected the home I purchase and still addressing things that were said to be inspected but could not have been , I just a had to replace the roof which they gave a good bill of health to , most of the decking need to be replaced 59 sheets due to rot and-of corse all the shingles . In my opinion the group is not capable of inspecting an mangy dog for ticks .

Awful. Junk appraisal. Wrong sq ft, compared to properties hundreds of feet bigger, numbers obviously fudged. DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE

Only was at the house 20 minutes. It is a 7 bedroom house and tge appraisal was incorrect and not detailed at all

They're very professional and show up on time. They give you a very thorough report, it's almost like a book. They will back their information. DS Murphy will call the bank or lender if the bank thinks differently for the appraisal.
