So appreciate this company's 2-hr window and responsiveness. After an experience with another company that gave me a 4-hr window and kept changing it through emails, I cancelled that call and went with A-1. Repairman was very professional and personable, showed me the broken part and completed the work quickly.

knows what he is doing and gets it done quickly and efficiently. Very nice to deal with. Will definitely use again !!

I can't even begin to go in to all the headaches/details. -continued to send a technician who said he didnt know what was wrong, despite my telling the company -cancelled on multiple times at the last minute when my husband or myself had already left work early/changed our plans to be there -when they finally sent a senior technician, he recommended changing the mother board. The next time they sent someone out it was the other guy who said he didnt know what was wrong. He refused to put in the mother board and basically did nothing (so glad we took off work for that!). I called. They sent back the same person. He had the wrong part. Rescheduled again. Brought the right part, finally. Freezer still not working. -after months of this, i finally called and said I wanted my $ back, as the technicians were just coming out and doing nothing.The person i talked to said she would call me back. That was a month and a half ago. Also, when I would call they would tell me that the technicians did this or that when they were out, however when the technician was out they would literally shrug their shoulders and tell me they didn't know what was wrong or what to do. -The only thing this company succeeded in doing, besides cutting into my sick leave as a public school teacher because I kept having to leave work to meet them, was to break my ice maker. They were out on a Friday and the ice maker was working. They left, it wouldn't work. I called multiple times Sat morning telling them we were expecting lots of guests and would they please come out and fix it ASAP since it worked before they were there. They didnt call me until Monday, which really irritated me. I got it working but they broke it so that it can't switch between ice cubes and crushed ice, we only have crushed. -I hired another company who came out once, changed the sensors, and viola, the freezer has worked perfectly for several weeks. I want my money back since I paid for parts that weren't needed as they blindly guessed at what was wrong and broke my ice maker.

They called me right away. The tenant said the refrigerator wasn't cooling and said I needed a brand new one. However the appliance repair company came and said that I didn't need a new refrigerator at all. But a $40 service call and nothing was actually even wrong with it. They were prompt and had good communication.

Went well. They were able to come out within 24 hours of my initial call at a time was convenient for me. Showed up exactly when they were supposed to. Fix only took 5 minutes. Now I know how to fix it myself if it happens again. Will use them in the future.

My washing machine reported an error and stopped draining properly on a Sunday. Two days later, A1 Appliance Rescue sent a service technician out who cleared the obstruction in the water pump and had everything working in less than 30 minutes. Moreover, the technician gave me some advice about reducing the amount of noise from having the washing machine installed on the 2nd floor. Both the service and advice were spot on.

Technician arrived on time. Diagnosed problem within 20 minutes. Gave us a price but ten needed to confirm with the office. Price went up $30.00 based upon correct part needed. We tried to negotiate price. Technician did not budge on price. We accepted price and installation went well and has not leaked in 1 week in writing this review.

The service agent was on time but it was quite evident he had not idea how to repair the oven. He didn't do anything, my ovens are still not working correctly & I had to pay a service charge.

Friendly and professional, clearly explained problem and recommended solution, fixed it quickly and within the estimate given

Company arrived on time and was polite. Services performed in a quick and timely manner. Reasonably priced. No mess upon completion.

Was told to wait a couple of days to ensure working properly. Called back on Saturday (2 days later) during working hours to report fridge and freezer still not cooling properly. No answer. Texted. No answer. Could not wait until Monday so had to schedule in another service company. Repair person was also almost two hours late - outside of original two hour window. Did not clean up properly after himself and left a brush behind.

A1 was great. I called after lunch on 4/23 and explained what was going on. I had tried to put a new filter in and it kept popping out. Unfortunately, I'd bought what I thought was a new filter from the store. Apparently someone had returned a used one and put it in the new box. When I tried to use it, not realizing it was used, I damaged the filter housing. A1 came out within the hour and diagnosed the issue. He held the flashlight and showed me what was causing the problem. Marcel came back out before noon on 4/24 and did the repair in less than 1/2 an hour. He was very courteous and punctual. I would definitely call them first for any appliance repair.

I guess the tech should have run it 1st to see if that was only thing wrong as it was it also needed a pump for $198 and the evacuation hose for $124 after he put in bottom seal for those of you always make the tech do a diagnostic 1st to see if it is feasible

We selected this company based on the ad in our last Angie's List printed directory, which included a discount for members. They sent out a technician who was immensely likeable and who seemed to know what he was doing. While he was there, he took a quick look at our dryer, and pronounced it beyond repair. They ordered the part we needed for the dishwasher, installed it, and the first time we used it, it actually ran worse than it had beforehand. Our technician returned, examined his handiwork, and declared the machine hopelessly. . . old. The company gave us back our money (minus the initial consultation fee, of course) not only for the part but for the labor. In total, the technician has made four trips out here -- once for the initial consult, once with the wrong part, once with the right part to do the actual work, once to 'pronounce' it, and one last time to uninstall the part for return to the manufacturer--so this was certainly more generous than we would have expected. However, due to the professionalism and punctuality issues, which included at least one last-minute re-scheduling and two outright no-shows, at some inconvenience to us, I would not use them again.

He did not have the correct tools to do the repair in our first appointment so we had to re-schedule for a week later. He did not put the part back on the dishwasher that we had taken off, he told my roommate to put it back on. He was able to get the issue fixed and the price was fair. However, scheduling could be improved and the professionalism could be better.

Scheduling was fine and the repair has been holding up. The technician was good, prompt and made the repair early the next morning with part in hand.

Sent him a picture of the broken part and he ordered the part before he came out. He arrived within the service call hours he gave and worked quickly. Good communication; he called 45 min prior to arrival. A little steep on the price but he came on a Saturday and honored my Angie's list coupon. Seems like a pro and will call them again when I need an appliance repair.

My only gripe is that it's a $15 part but the overall service was over $200. This must be balanced with the fact that the call was made on a Sunday afternoon during holiday season and by Sunday evening everything was working great. So, overall, I'm very pleased.

My refrigerator leaked and damaged my hardwood floor. Dean came out and discovered a flaw in the water tube design leading to the icemaker where a metal clamp was holding the plastic tube in place - creating pinhole leaks. He corrected the situation and never tries to charge for parts I don't need. I have used them in the past and will likely again.

Our oven gave us an error that stated the module that controls the temperature was bad. We also had them look at our ice dispenser on the refrigerator. The refrigerator was too much due to the parts no longer being available, but he gave us a work around. He had brought the oven part and had it installed in about an hour. A week later we got the same error code. We called and let them know that the issue had not been resolved. We got a call the day before the appointment and our tech stated that he had done some research and the issue sounded more like a computer board issue. They credited us for the part that had already been put in and the next day it was done. We have had no issues since. Thanks!

Checked washer was not sure if it was controller or motor said would replace motor but then could required follow up controller we opted to get a new washer due to combined cost. Dishwasher door was leaking they could not find any thing wrong, cleaned doors, charged me... Left and the very next load the door leaked again. The whole time the tech was at my house he was on the phone back to their office. I am not giving a bad grade because of the washer but because the dishwasher was not fixed, I thought the fee was a bit high and my dishwasher still leaked. They told me to call with any issues but I just tend to be a customer who wants someone really knowledgeable that fixes things the first time. Going to try a different repair service.

Replaced ice maker and water valve in freezer

Technician was knowledgeable and easy to work with. Told me how to keep the issue from happening in the future. I would definitely use them again.

I will not use a service for people that do not answer their phone and cannot make an agreed upon 4 hour window of time.
