They were excellent. They were in and out and did a beautiful job. They were on time and courteous. They were very professional. It was one single fellow. He came the same day we called. It was a very nice experience and we had no negatives. We were happy with the price, their efficiency and their promptness. We would absolutely use them again.

They service man was James and I was really impressed with him. He did a good job and he was very professional, friendly and clean. He cleaned up after he finished, he didn’t make a mess and he was prompt. His responsiveness was quick and he was here in a couple of hours.

I called at 8:15 on the morning of 7/6/12. Our electric dryer had stopped heating. I called another service repair shop on Angie's List but they couldn't come out for 3 days. I called A1 Appliance Rescue and they said they could make between 2 to 4. The technician called at 3:00 and said he was going to get the part he thought was the problem, the heating element. He said he would be at our house by 5:30. He was here at 5:00 and after checking it out it was the heating element. He gave me a price of $265.00 and a discount of $20.00 for Angie's List coupon. The total was $245.Everyone was very professional and did everything they said and kept me informed about the time. I would use them again and will recommend to friends and family.

The washer wasn't broken but apparently some HE detergents are more highly concentrated than others and he recommended we cut it in half. He explained that the detergent breaks down, causes the unpleasant smell, and builds up in the tub...which subsequently causes the water back up.Very pleasant service on the phone. I had to reschedule the first appointment and it was no problem. I had an appointment between 1 and 4 and the technician did not arrive until almost 5:30. However, they were very good at communicating with me about what was happening. They were apologetic, called to tell me about the delay, and did not try to get out of the call that day. Stuff happens. I don't mind that a technician is late, just how it is handled. In my opinion, it was handled well with the communication and they still performed the service.I'll also say that I always appreciate honesty and integrity. I thought it i was broken. A dishonest technician could have spent some time to increase the service call and I would not have known.

The gentleman who came was able to install them and set them up by himself. It took him over and hour and a half but the charge was exactly as quoted. Very happy with A-1 and will call them again if I have any other appliance issues.

I placed a call on a Saturday. I choose this company because their review stated they had Saturday hours. I did not expect service on that day as it was aroud 1:00 Pm when I called, however I did expect a call back. I left both my home and cell number and never received a call back.

This company was spectacular...! They scheduled an appointment right away, Marcel gave me a 30 minute call before he arrived. Once he arrived on time, he had the problem diagnosed within 2 minutes...and fixed within 10 minutes. This company was great and offered a great service...I would recommend them to all of my clients.

Called A1 Appliance Sunday ~10 am for service in Dekalb area. We were informed that a person would be available between 4p-5p. Arrived punctually within one hour window. Fixed the problem in one hour, refrigerator functioning well afterwards. Marcel provided recommendations with regards to possible causes and ways to potentially prevent future recurrences. Event was handled professionally, pleasantly, --overall a very positive experience. Used A1 Appliances for malfunction in same refrigerator in 2008 (different problem) and it had been fine until now, 2012.

Either my washer or my dryer was leaking, I couldn't tell, just a pile of water on the laundry room floor. I tried to check the hose for leakage, but I didn't find the source. I read lots of good comments about A1 Appliance Rescue on Angielist, so I called them to take a look. Manuel came out the next day I called. He called me when he was on his way and came within the one hour time frame provided. He noticed I took off my shoes after I enter my condo, and he did the same. I was very impressed that he noticed that minor detail. I've never had a service technician do that. Anyway, Manuel went into work right away. Within minutes, he was able to diagnose the problem from the washer and gave me a quote. He told me the water level sensing pipe was the source of the problem. I thought the price quote was very reasonable. Within 15 minutes, Manuel fixed my washer and all is good! I got A1 Appliance Rescue business card on my fridge, and I will use them again.

The service tech knew exactly what was wrong, and had the part to fix the GE Fridge at the same time. Impressed with knowledge of the product.

We felt very comfortable with the experience, and he was up-front about what he'd charge to fix it, but I felt it was a little pricey for the simplicity of the job. It was essentially $50 on top of the $50 site visit fee for removing a couple of bolts. That said, I would use A1 Appliance Rescue again for a job that actually requires technical skill. I've already recommended them to a friend. Just make sure that you identify what he/she will have to do and how long it will take before saying "yes" to the job.

He found that nothing was wrong with the dishwasher, other than soap buildup, too much soap, after checking everything, doing several diagnostic tests, declared that the soap buildup was the issue, only charged us for the response call. Told us our brand of dishwasher was one of the most efficient. Marcel was the technician, very knowledgeable, courteous.

They were excellent! They were fast. The guy came and had heard the symptoms. He correctly diagnosed it. He brought the parts and was able to fix it the first time he was here. He was extremely professional and very good. It was smooth and exemplary. I had no problems with the price. The guy was great! He is the type of person I would want representing my company if I were sending people out. They were right on time.

Dishwasher had stopped cleaning. They showed up on time after an advance call about 30 minutes out. They technician was pleasant and seemed to know how to diagnose the issue. He determined it was a water valve, priced the repair and told us he would return the next day. Got a call the next day that the part was not in yet and it would be the following afternoon . He called around noon to say he was on his way. The part was replaced and all is working great. I found the price of the repair to be a little high but the overall service was excellent and I would certainly use them again.

My wife called them to fix our washing machine which was making a squealing noise during the wash cycle. The machine is an expensive front loader that is approximately seven years old. The technician was to arrive between 1:00 and 3:00. I got a call just after 2:00 with a ten minute heads up. The repairman was courteous and very knowledgeable. The diagnosis was a bearing that was built into the wash drum which cannot be replaced. He was very helpful in letting me know how much longer the machine might last before replacement and with suggestions of brands that he had first hand knowledge of that had good repair records. He spent about an hour total and I was only charged $45. I would definately use them again!

Repair Tech, Marcel, was friendly and courteous. He ran a diagnostic on the icemaker. It failed so the whole unit had to be replaced. Took about 30min from start to finish. The service fee was quoted as $50 and it was applied to the total cost as I had the repair done. Everything was great about the service. I was a little surprised about the cost but generally things cost more than I think they will. I searched the internet and found the same part for $170 on one site and $121 on another so 50% parts and 50% labor is probably about right.

Went well overall. They arrived on time and performed the work promptly. The dishwasher has worked fine ever since then. The only minor issues was that when the technician tried to unscrew the main plastic shield from the bottom of the dishwasher, he used too much force while turning the mechanism the wrong way, and a piece of plastic got chipped off (Luckily, non-essential to machine functioning). He pumped out the stagnant water and cleaned out the drain so that it works perfectly. He stated that our machine had the screws reversed from most of the others he'd seen. He was professional and polite. Charges were exactly as stated.

I gave a good client two names for appliance repair services. This is her response: The company that performed the work and was really excellent was A1 Appliance Rescue in Suwanee. The technicians name was Marcel and he was Great! He came in, took the machine apart - and showed me which part was broken which happened to be the block - not nearly as expensive as an entire new transmission. He had the part with him and repaired it then.

My washer broke on Wednesday and they were able to come on Thursday. I contacted 2 other companies and neither of them could get here until the following Monday. They gave me a 2 hour window and called at the beginning of the window and indicated they were on their way. The repairman arrived timely and completed the repair quickly. Having said this my concerns are that the repair had difficulty with the washer pan. He was by himself and had to try to lift the washer out of the pan to fix it. He did ask to use some phone books to help hold the washer up as he slid the washer so he did not break the pan. I was glad it worked. The other concern is with his professionalism. He came to my back door not the front as most service people do and he did not introduce himself and say he was with A1. He simply said I am here to fix your washer. I will use this company again because they were able to help quickly, they diagnosed the problem easily, and the price seemed reasonable.

I called A1 in the early afternoon on a Wednesday and they made an appointment for 10-12 the next day. At 11:45 on Thursday the office called to say the tech was on his way. Around 12:15 the tech called to say that he was picking up his vehicle after a repair, it was taking longer than expected and he was on his way. He actually arrived around 1 pm and spent about 5 minutes determining that the machine needed a water pump, which was not in his vehicle. He promised to look for one at the home office (he was sure he'd had one at some point during the car switch) and said that "someone would call" to set up another time slot. By the next morning, I'd heard nothing and called A1 back. I got the tech on the phone and he said that he'd had to order the part and expected it to arrive either later that day or at the latest by Monday. Someone would call me after the part arrived and set up another appointment time for the repair. Luckily, the part came in on Friday afternoon and the tech returned on Saturday morning so my machine is now working well again. I was able to ascertain through another repair service that LG parts are typically ordered for delivery 1-2 days later, so I can't complain that A1 didn't have the part in stock. I wasn't thrilled with their tech's communication, though. He never introduced himself (just said, "I'm here for the washer" when he came the first time) and did not tell me up-front that I was looking at a 2-visit repair with a wait of 1-3 days between the visits. I think the price was acceptable and his repair work appears fine, so my unwillingness to use A1 again really comes down to communication. I'm a huge planner and even though I didn't need to miss work for these appointments, I felt like my needs and time were being taken for granted. That may not be true at all, but because they could have told me the proper expectations up front and they didn't, every delay or re-visit seemed unnecessary and irritating. The tech was clean, well-dressed and polite, but that's just price-of-entry for me. Anything higher than a C on the "professionalism" scale needed a higher degree of effort from him and his office.

The technician got here about 2:30 and had been here before, which is a plus. The dishwasher started working again once he came and opened and shut the door but he explained possible causes and solutions for the problem, including replacing the control board at a later date. I was most impressed by the fact that he didn't try to do it right away just to get our money. He was also very knowledgeable about different brands and what to look for if we have to replace the appliance. In addition to this he also advised us to use a little less detergent to keep it running better. I will definitely use this company again!
