The water stopped being pumped out of the washing machine tub during a wash cycle. Called A1 Appliance Rescue for a washing machine repair. Technician came out as scheduled and determined that the pump needed to be replaced on old older Maytag washing machine that was 25+ years old. Returned the next day with the part and fixed the washer in short order. The technician was very professional. I would use this company again.

The technician was punctional and professional. He explained the entire procedure to me from start to finish which I appreciated. He was persistent enough to try everything he could before recommending that I might have to get a new one which I didn't because he eventually fixed it. The price was right and I was impressed by the overall experience. I highly recommend this company.

Our Frigidaire front loader washer stopped working about a week ago, the spin no longer worked in the rinse cycle. We searched online for the problem and found a likely solution. The part would be about $75 and the repair itself looked very simple. However in the meantime the dryer stopped working also, we think because we put clothes from the washer that were very wet, which probably overloaded the heating element. Again we searched online, however we could find no clear cause and the repair looked much more daunting, so we decided to call an appliance repair company to do both jobs. After searching Angie's List, we decided to try A1 Appliance Rescue. My wife called them and they were very responsive, they were able to get someone over the next day if we could accept a later appointment (5-7pm). We agreed and scheduled the appt. The service man called prior to coming over, and he arrived within the service windown (around 6:30). The washer repair was very quick as we expected, but the dryer repair was much more involved (replacing the heating element) and more than I would have wanted to tackle. The price was more than I would have preferred to pay, but given the cost of the parts and the effort on the dryer it did not seem to be out of line with other prices we saw on Angie's List reviews from A1 and other repair companies. The serviceman had an electronic credit card reader on his smart phone, so payment was quick and simple. Overall we are satisfied with the work, we would call A1 Appliance Rescue again for other major appliance repair work.

I called A1 Appliance Rescue based on the positive reviews I read on Angies List. Dean called when he was on his way, allowing me 20 mins to meet him at my home. He was great! He tested a few things, and solved the problem quickly. He answered all my questions, and was friendly, courteous and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again! .

NeMarco cam and diagnosed the problem with my 9 year old side-by-side whirlpool refrigerator. He asked several questions about what the issue was. He told me it was a bad control panel. The cost to replace was going to be ~$425. I ordered the part for $175 and chose to replace it my self. Nonetheless, his diagnosis was right. The refrigerator works as it should now.

This company was very responsive and communication was excellent. The repairman was very professional and told me exactly what was wrong and how much it was going to cost upfront. The job was completed in less than 30 minutes. I only wish the total cost would have been broken out by parts and labor. Would recommend this company to anyone. I am a very satisfied customer.

I contacted Appliance Rescue on 11/8 about my broken oven. I gave them a description of the problem and requested an appointment. I was given an appointment time on 11/10 from 11-1pm, which I approved.. When I had not received an email or phone call confirming this appointment on Saturday, I sent another inquiry via email and tried to call the office number. I got a reply at 3pm stating that they had overlooked my last email and asking if they could reschedule. I made a second appointment for Thursday 11/15 from 5-7pm. I took off work early and came home. No one showed. I sent multiple emails and tried again to call the office. It is now 11/19 and I STILL have not received a response.

Being very handy with repairs I had tried to fix the refrigerator myself but it was a bigger problem than I could solve. The technician followed good trouble diagnostic skills and found what he thought was wrong. I agree with his diagnosis. He could not solve the problem since the refrigerator was 20 years old and has limited parts availability. He recommended a way we could live with the problem until we get a new refrigerator. I did not want to tackle the dishwasher since it would be a lot of work to replace the broken part. He solved some installation problems and did the repair in a timely manner.

The technician arrived on time. Although it took a little longer that I would expect for us to make sure he understood everything that was wrong with our fridge, we were eventually able to get on the same page and get the repair done within a few hours. Will definitely be contacting them again for future repair needs.

This has been the second time we have used them to work on our LG washer and dryer. Both times they were about to come within a day. They were very good about letting us know when they would arrvie and called throughout the day. The first time we used them our dryer drum was not turning. They replaced the belt. The second time we used them the washer was leaking. They fixed the leak and we had to call them back and they came the next day to replace a pump. We will use them again in the future.

Unfortunately, we did not have an opportunity to appreciate the well reputed service of this company that we had expected from the other reviews on Angie's List. We had been given a two hour appointment time of 5-7pm on a Friday evening- with which we were fine and appreciated this time. My husband and I both arranged our work days to be home by 5pm to be available for the repairman. At almost 6 pm when we had not heard from the company, my husband called and had to leave a message for the company to please let us know when to expect the service call. We heard nothing and so again at 7pm, we called again and both available numbers went to voicemail and requests for information messages were left again. At 7:35pm, we received a call from the serviceman wanting to know if he could still come- we said ok, asking why we hand't been notified. He indicated he had a service call that went long and had asked the 'office' to call us, although we had heard from no one. At 8:10pm, when we had no one show up, we called the serviceman's number asking where he was, he indicated that he was still on his way- we requested that he stop as the hour was later than we thought and that we would be canceling the request for service. He asked if he could explain and continued to let us know that it was his birthday and his family had had a celebration for him which is why he was late. He offered to come on Saturday or Sunday to perform the service. We declined. We truly wish we had been notified at some time between 5-7pm that the service was running late, needed to be rescheduled, or that the serviceman was unable to show up for the appointment. We could have worked with this, but no communication from either the main scheduling office or individual serviceman until well after our scheduled time was very disappointing for this well reputed company. We also would have appreciated the ability to actually speak to someone at the company office during their published office hour times rather than leave messages that were not returned. Wish we had had better customer service ?

OMG!!! After having a horrific experience w/ another repair person and simply asking him to leave, I was quite leery about the next, being the person from "A-1 Appliance Rescue". Boy did I need a rescue! It concerned a Whirlpool double built-in oven. Deader that a door nail. Did a self-clean, next day, no power and could not even open up the door. I feel terrible, but I do not know the gentleman's, (and I mean GENTLEMAN'S) name that was here. He was awesome! He was sooooo personable, smiling, explaining, and unlike the other person, did not even have to look at any information about the unit. They (he) called, was prompt, knowledgeable, and with-in no time I was back to be a cooking fool! Excellent service, would not and will not hesitate to have them back again.

It went very well. They came the next day after I called and took care of a couple of problems that I had quickly.

Tech came on time and performed job within the estimate given on the phone. People on the phone were polite, tech was very punctual and courteous. Dishwasher has been working since repair.

When they arrived I did tell them I suspected I had a bad heating element causing no heated air to flow through my dryer. After running my dryer for a few minutes, he confirmed my "diagnosis" and said he sees those kind of failures all the time. The repair cost would be $250. I asked how much of that is labor & material cost and he indicated that it was just their flat rate for that service. At this point, I was turned off because I saw the replacement part online for literally less than $50. It's just that we're not electrical engineers and I didn't want to have to fuss with the delicate electronic aspect of repairing an expensive appliance. He indicated the labor would not be too long, so I did not feel their flat rate of $250 was justified for my repair. After A1 left, I realized that my dryer was under warranty and when the repairman from the store I purchased the dryer from came, he indicated that it was not the heating element, but blown fuses. They replaced the blown fuses at no charge and the dryer has worked ever since. While I commend A1 Appliance Rescue for coming to my house on Labor Day (oh the irony), I do think that if a consumer has a theory about the problem, that they shouldn't just be so quick to confirm it. For a $50 service call, I wanted a more thorough diagnostic examination to be performed. Secondly, thanks to the internet, consumers are a lot more educated (or miseducated depending on the topic) which means that I'm going to look up if you're trying to stiff me. Since I saw the part for such a low price, I would have loved to have a labor only rate to repair my dryer. At the end of the day, I can neither recommend nor not recommend A1 Appliance Repair Service because I really did not use them to fix my problem. They were professional, knowledgeable enough, and punctual for sure. The price for the repair I needed was not fair to me for the severity of the issue at hand. And again, for responsiveness, I rated C because I feel a more thorough look at all the possible issues for a dryer not heating should have been looked at before making a 5 minute diagnosis.

A-1 Appliance Rescue wanted to do a calibration. We told them no. He told us to do this and this. He wanted 130 dollars to calibrate it. We are still having the same problem, so maybe I should have paid the extra money to have him re-calibrate it. The pricing was fine. I will be calling them back.
