Description of Work: I left a phone message on Thursday evening when I discovered that my 13 month old washer was not working. Friday I received a call to schedule a repair. The earliest available appointment was Saturday afternoon. I took that appointment. Late Friday evening, when there was no time to schedule any one else, this company cancelled my appointment for Saturday and offered me sometime this week. That doesn't work for me. I just got back into town from an over night trip and now must still find a repairman for my washer.

Description of Work: Checked my washer for it was not drianing water at the end of the cycle. He explained and cleared the drains that were clogged. The dryer clothing was still damp after a cycle. He showed me the sensor and explained how to clean it. He also did an inspection of both appliances and made sure they were in working order. It was a relief that there no additional charges during the visit. They were very honest

Description of Work: Provider didn't even bother to return my call after I left a message on 05/21/2013. I think I gave a very generous amount of time before writing this review, hoping that it was an over site and we would receive a call within the week. Major let down, wasted our time, did not live up to their high rating of customer satisfaction in any way. Upon the lack of attempts to address our inquiry, We then called AAA Appliance Repair. Who now has our 100% confidence and our highest recommendation under every category listed.

Description of Work: I called in the morning concerning my side-by-side refrifgerator that was not cooling in both compactment. An appointment was set up for 12pm to 2pm. The long and short of it was that I received service from 3:15pm to 3:40pm. The problem was with the compressor start device. The technician, Marco, had the part in his truck so he replaced it. I was billed $219 for parts and about 20 minutes of labor but I haggled it down to $209. Though the technician was very professional, nice and knowledgible, and I am very satisfied with his work, I feel that cost was outrageous. (The part costs $20 to $35 online). Never gonna use those scrooges again as I feel profiteering should have a human face, especially in this economy

Description of Work: I called the office on a Friday and the scheduler was able to send someone right away even though it wasn't an emergency. The repairman arrived within 30 minutes so I was quite pleased at this point. However, it went downhill from there. My dishwasher wasn't cleaning properly-lots of crud left inside the cups and glasses. My 2nd refrigerator in my garage hasn't worked in over a year so we wanted to see if we could get that up and running. Without going into a lot of detail, I felt uncomfortable with the technician. He seemed kinda shady. Among other things, he didn't even look at my dishwasher before he gave me a quote on what he needed to do. I decided to just pay for the service call charge of $50. I contacted the office and spoke with Joanne. She was fantastic! She apologized for my dissatisfaction and said she could send another technician on Monday and I wouldn't need to pay for another service call! Marcel arrived a little late but sometimes that happens. I could tell immediately that he knew his stuff! Before he even gave me an estimate, he had opened up my dishwasher and was checking things out. I thought the price for the work needed on my dishwasher and refrigerator (yes, he fixed it!!!) was reasonable so I authorized the work. Our fridge seems to be working good now and the dishwasher - wow...night and day difference. I would recommend this company again...ask for Marcel!!!

Description of Work: They have been to my home three times . The first two times something was making a loud scraping noise in the dryer. Each time they fixed the problem but it came back a couple of months later. At this time the noise has returned for a third time. In addition, on the first service call the technician pulled a large amount of lint from UNDER the filter and then left the whole pile on the floor without sweeping it up or even letting me know he'd done this. He didnt charge for hppis second visit but now that the problem has reoccured27m not all that impressed

Description of Work: Our refrigerator was freezing everything..Turned out it was from a power surge and he successfully reset the fridge by pushing the reset buttons harder then we were able to...so that that was all that was wrong..took maybe 10 minutes and we paid the $50.00 ...Next time we will push harder LOL..But I realize they had to charge for the call anyway..and it goes toward any other repair for a month. I would still use them again.

Description of Work: I called to set up a repair of a built in microwave at my home. After researching Angie's List and various websites, I settled on A1 Appliance Rescue. One of the determining factors in calling them was their good repair record and the fact that on their website and on their Angie's LIst page, they advertise no service fee. When I called, they said that I would be charged a $50 service fee! I asked if that would be applied to the cost of the repair and was told no, it was a separate charge. I mentioned that their website said there would be no service charge. She was unimpressed. I cancelled my appointment and suggested that they update their website.

Description of Work: A-1 Appliance Rescue repaired our washer and refrigerator. Their technicians did a great job! We would highly recommend them!

Description of Work: Marcel was very professional. My freezer was not auto defrosting, he diagnosed the problem quickly (heater thermostat needed replaced), had the necessary part in his car, and replaced said thermostat. Freezer is working fine, defrosting itself like it's supposed to. I didn't watch the clock, but it seemed he was in and done in much less than an hour. I also had a $20 Angie's list coupon which was applied to the price ($179) Will definitely use A1 appliance rescue again if I have a problem with any of my other large appliances.

Description of Work: This is the second time I have used this company and am very satisfied. The best part was that I called them early in the morning and a real person actually answered the phone! This was very important to me since I had a leaking refrigerator which was causing water damage to the outside wall; Marco came and he was very competent and efficient. He even answered my questions regarding other matters needing attention in my home.

Description of Work: My icemaker was spilling water into my freezer at a rapid rate and the freezer was not cooling sufficiently to keep everything frozen. Marcel showed up promptly within the window of time I was given for my appoinment and gave me a fair price for the work after he had looked over the job. When I gave the go-ahead, he set to work quietly and efficiently to repair and replace the broken water line (after pulling out my refrigerator on his own -- a major job in and of itself!). He was thorough and cleaned up after his work. He replaced the valve, cleaned out my filthy coils, and put new freon into the old refrigerator. He gladly accepted my Angies' List coupon for $20 off the cost of the job. I will definitely call him again for other appliances and could not recommend him highly enough to other members.

Description of Work: Dryer was not working. Called him based on Angies List review. Some kind of coil needed to be replaced. He showed me the old broken part and the new installed part. I was not surprisded that it was something like that since I have a bad habit of slaming the dryer door. I did not price shop. It seemed like a fair price and he seemed honest. I relied heavily on the Angies List reviews and was not disappointed.

Description of Work: This is my first review and one I'm very happy to make. A1 Appliance inspected my refrigerator and advised me of the problem. I read several reviews and saw where Lanny's service had over 100 favorable reviews so I called and was told that they would not be able to come out that day with their schedule but recommended A1 Appiance Rescue located closer to me. A1 Appliance Rescue didn't have nearly as many reviews but ALL were positive so I called and they were able to service my refrigerator that day. They gave the time of 4 to 6:00 PM and said they would do their best to make it close to 4:00. Unfortunately, due to traffic, they arrived around 5:50. I knew the traffic was terrible coming from their location. He had called to say he was on his way and discussed the issue with me over the phone to try to diagnose the problem beforehand. It did not take him long once he arrived and he gave me a couple of options - the cheap way or another way that would have cost $95. The service call was $45 and he told me he could defrost my coil for $95 or he could show me how for no additional charge other than the $45. I thought that was very nice of him and took him up on it. I will definitely keep their name and number and will be using them again for any repair. They were responsive to my call, polite, helpful and honest.

Description of Work: Had an issue with my Whirlpool washer. It was not draining properly. Also had an issue with a Jenn-Aire cook top. The technician unblocked the drainage valve which fixed the problem. He also showed us how to clean the drain in case the same error occurred in the future. The cooktop was not igniting properly. The technician checked the contacts and determined one of the burner covers was loose. The burner cover may be permanently damaged, but will try to see if his solution works. They can order a new part if necessary. The technician was very knowledgable about the equipment and luckily our solutions were straight forward.

Description of Work: We had a little trouble with our dishwasher, washer and stove. He serviced all of them for us. He also serviced our garbage disposal.

Description of Work: I did call them for an appointment but they called two hours after the agreed-upon arrival time stating that they said they would be at my residence in 45 minutes. And the call was not that apologetic, but rather casual. With that, I canceled the appointment. In effect, I did not have the opportunity to grade them on anything other than their punctuality or their courtesy that need improvement.
