When they finished the work, they showed us the warranty paperwork which showed that you must use their cleaning solution to clean the tubs or their warranty would be null and void. They gave us some cleaner of theirs to work with but when we run out we will have to buy their brand of cleaner. The warranty pretty much said you can't leave soap in the soap area or can't leave shampoo bottles in there because it could ruin the finish. It seems like if you even shower in there it voids the warranty. They said that they were going to send me a reworked warranty but I have yet to see this. When they reglazed the tubs they had to tape tub to complete the finish and left it for us to take off. We believe that the warranty states that if you remove the tape and damage the finish, we are liable and it will also void the warranty. Although we are not for sure since they did not provide us with a copy of the warranty. I don't believe they did a good job. It is grainy and rough in a lot of places in the tubs. I am still waiting on a faxed copy of the warranty and they wern't very nice when they delt with my wife either. We're not trying to to get out of paying, we just want a copy of the reworked warranty and a satisfactory completion of the work.

There was a chip in my porcelain kitchen sink. The appraiser came out on the day and at the time I was told. He told me that the best thing to do was replace the sink, but that was not an option. He described what would be done and gave me an estimate. Jodi called to set up the appointment. She was very responsive. Scott and John came on Monday morning. They were very professional and courteous. They were very careful and nothing in my kitchen was damaged. After prepping the sink, they applied the new glaze, however, there were some dirt particles that settled in glaze. They pointed that out to me and said they would return on Friday, at no additional charge, to wet sand and buff out the surface. They returned as promised. The sink looks terrific! They left a special mild cleanser to use on the surface. Job well done!

The technician doing the repair work neither monitored nor attempted to control the amount of foam pumped under the pan, which resulted in raising the pitch in the bottom of the pan around the drain. The end result is that the floor of the shower pan no longer slopes towards the drain. After taking a shower, the water sits in the back of the pan and does not flow into the drain. Unique Refinishers, Inc. has refused to fix the problem, stating that they cannot guarantee the structural integrity of any repaired shower stall, even though they verbally advised me prior to doing the work that there would not be a problem with the repair work, that they have done this type of repair on many occasions, and that they would guarantee their work for one year. When the representative revisited my home after I called the office to issue a complaint about the defective work, the representative stated that “he was shocked about the amount of water remaining in the shower pan” and assured me that he would meet with the appropriate technician to determine what needed to be done to correct the problem caused by his technician. Three days later I received a letter from Ronald T. Kott, President of Unique Refinishers, Inc. advising that his company would not honor their one year guarantee. Unique Refinishers, Inc. has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. I therefore filed an official complaint against the company. The BBB did nothing more than transfer communications between myself and Unique Refinishers, Inc., advising that they are unable to dictate or guarantee the outcome of any complaint. The BBB did advise that a note of my unresolved complaint has been indicated in their records and will be reflected in the rescoring of Unique Refinishers, Inc. I advised the BBB that Unique Refinishers, Inc. was in direct violation of the BBB’s Standards for Trust and Code of Business Practices. I advised that the BBB score be adjusted downward as soon as possible so that no other consumers are misled by the erroneous BBB score of A+ currently awarded to Unique Refinishers, Inc.

I had Unique Refinishers come out give me an estimate. They were good on price and finished the work within a week. The workers were very nice and did a great job. They cleaned up there mess and made sure I was satisfied before leaving. Thanks Unique for a great job done!

Called the day before work was to be done, to let me know they would be here between noon and 2:00 pm. They arrived at 1:30 pm. Very pleased with the timeliness and job was preformed professionally.

They set an appointment then they call to say they are coming later. They don't respond well. I have decided to look elsewhere

Initial cleaning removed the stains and discoloration and the old grout was removed and replaced. The cleaner used, however, also removed most of the finish or sheen from the floor tiles - they are now sort of a dull gray. Further, in less than three months, the stains and discoloration began to resurface. I contacted the company and was told they would revisit the work but that their process was not designed to eliminate mildew. I filed a BBB complaint which resulted in a followup visit. Mr. Kott then wrote me a letter advising that our problem is now a "soap scum build up" and that they would come back out and clean it for only $150. I have rejected that offer and have responded unfavorably to the BBB. The matter is resolved unfavorably and I would strongly urge anyone considering this company to check other references.

Both the estimator and repair person (two separate appointments) arrived on time and were professional. They did a good job repairing the hole although the color is a little off if you know where to look. You have to sign a form before they leave saying the color is OK, but they told me it would change over the next six hours so it was hard to really know if it matched correctly or not.

They did a good job but customer service was not great. While the glazing was drying we had some concerns about some flaws and they were not eager to fix them. They did in the end but it wasn't pleasant working with them.

THEY CAME AT THE APPOINTMENT TIME, WORKED NEATLY AND QUICKLY, AND ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS.

THEY RESPONDED ON TIME, KEPT THE APPOINTMENT SET. QUALITY OF WORK WAS SO-SO. THERE WERE PAINT DRIPS ON THE REGLAZED TILE. THEY NEGLECTED TO COMPLETE AND SEAL THE BATHROOM FLOOR AND HAD FORGOTTEN TO DO THE LINEN CLOSET FLOOR IN THE BATHROOM. THEY DID COME BACK TO CORRECT THE WORK WHEN WE REQUESTED THEM TO, HOWEVER. THE SPECIAL CLEANER THEY GAVE US TO USE ON THE REGLAZED TUB DOES NOT REALLY CLEAN ANYTHING.
