Tile Everything

We had our bathroom renovated just a few months ago, but the work was poorly done. We hadn't even started using it yet, and the porcelein floor tile was already cracking in 3 places. We hired Tile Everything based on the good reviews we saw on Angie's List to redo it. Tom was very busy, and had to schedule a few weeks out, but called us to schedule about the time he'd indicated, maybe a little earlier. Tom French and his assistant, Pablo, showed up pretty close to the time they indicated. They tore out the existing tile to discover the subfloor and cement boards had only been nailed down. No wonder there was movement in it! They tore out the baseboards and thresholds as well. They left the existing plywood subfloor in place, but went over it screwing it all down. Then they screwed down new cement boards. We picked out new tile this time, which we had to purchase as well as the grout and thresholds. It was a 12x24 porcelein tile. Tom discussed the grout line spacing with us. The salesperson at Floor and Decor had convinced us we needed to go with a 1/8 spacing between the tiles. We really wanted to go with 1/16, and Tom told us that wouldn't be a problem, and what kind of grout we should get because it's different. He was very patient with me for checking on things after being burnt the first time around, and explained everything I had a question about. His assistant Pablo was also very nice and helpful. They did a beautiful job! The floor looks great, and we are very happy! He is now our "go to" guy for tiling for sure!! We were just sorry he hadn't done it the first time around.

He did a great job, in spite of the fact that the starting concrete surface was both uneven and not "square".

I contacted Tom for an estimate for bathroom tile installation. My location was outside his business area, but he provided a quick response and answered a follow up question that I had several days later. I really appreciate his responsiveness and willingness to take time out of his schedule to help.

I couldn't be happier. I got a couple of quotes due to the size of the job. A friend recommended Tom French at Tile Everything after being pleased with work Tom had done for him. Tom gave me a quote for the labor 24 hours after I called him. He was substantially lower than the other 2 quotes I received. I picked out and paid for the tile and grout from Home Depot. Tom picked everything up and completed the entire project in 5 working days. The quality of his work is outstanding. Tom and one helper completed the work. They left the property clean everyday and after the job was complete. A large number of the 6x24" tiles had to be custom cut by Tom and his helper on-site. All of the cuts were exactly square and the grout joints are identical, including those adjacent to walls. Very responsive, professional, and affordable contractor.

Tom and his crew arrived punctual from start to finish. The work was done with neatness and cleanliness during the whole installation. The bathroom came out fabulous and I couldn't have asked for more.

Tim contacted me immediately after I sent a message via Angie's List. After giving us an estimate, he stayed in contact to let us know when he could fit us into his schedule (he was understandably busy). We provided the tile, and he and his crew finished the job in one day. The patio looks great.

I found Tom and Tile Everything on Angie's List. Tom called me the same day as I sent my email inquiry and promptly arrived a few days later as planned. Within a day I had my estimate. He was able to start earlier than I had thought he would, and his crew dealt with the fact that I had moved NOTHING to allow them to begin their work. They were thoughtful and made sure that there were paths to shimmy through so we could get from room to room. Tom's right hand man Pablo was there every day. He was polite and informed me about every step. The job was complicated by the fact that my floors were far from even and the tiles I had chosen were 36" long. The crew made sure that everything would be done to my liking and at the end of the day, I now have lovely floors and not a stitch of wall to wall carpeting left in my home. I would use Tile Everything in the future and we made some plans already for some work I would like done when I have the time and money to complete the jobs.

They went to pains to keep things clean in our house. They did meticulous work and took great pride in it. It looks great! It went very well. We are so pleased.

Tom and Pablo did a fantastic job. It took exactly 7 days. Pablo did all of the tile work and he is very detail oriented and takes pride in his work. I never felt like he was trying to rush things. Drop cloths and plastic were put down in the entranceway and up the stairs and cleaned up each day. This job was completed on May 20th.

Tom is awesome! First of all, he was honest with his schedule. Today so many contractors try and over book for revenue and end up over promising on timelines. Tom was up front with his schedule and said that he was booked until the end of the month. Tom ended up finishing up another job early and was able to squeeze us in 2 weeks early. Unfortunately we were heading out of state for a graduation. We ended up leaving the house open to allow Tom to continue working. Tom promised us that the tile we picked out would look good, (I don't have an eye for this type of thing until I can see the finished product). To my surprise when we returned the job looked much better than anticipated. Tom is a trust worthy individual with an eye for the particulars. Our next project will be our master bathroom. Tom will be our first call.

Tom sent us to Tile Factory Outlet where we purchased our tile and grout. We were given his 10% discount. Pablo is an artist with travertine tile. We absolutely love the finished product! Tom was delightful to work with. He is both professional and personable. I already recommended Tile Everything to a couple friends who saw our floor and were looking for a good tile contractor. Thanks to Tom and Pablo for doing such an excellent job!

Tom was responsive and professional. He and Pablo did a wonderful job. The tile looks great. I liked how they protected my floors leading to my bathroom with sheets so nothing got dirty. They got the job done in a timely manner for the price we originally agreed upon. I was impressed that Tom followed up with me a few days after to make sure I was satisfied with the job. I will use them again in the future.

I am very picky person and expect a lot, so when someone I hire does exceptionally great work it is my job to express it. He suggested we go to where he gets the tile pick out the tile pay for it and get his discount, he then went and picked it up and took care of everything else. He is returning in a couple of weeks when I am ready to do the rest of the bedrooms. All the materials are ready he is just waiting for my call when I will be ready. Tom and his crew are very patient and very detailed. I didn't have to worry about anything. Also he is so easy to talk to.

Excellent work!! My wife and I we're remodeling before moving into our new home and Tom put down a rather complicated pattern of travertine in the kitchen and foyer. Additionally, he retiled the kitchen backsplash. All at a very fair price. ( we bought and supplied the tile). He and his crew did what they said they were going to do when they said they we're going to do it. Important when your juggling other contractor's timing in order to meet a move in date. We are pretty detailed oriented and it seems Tom is too. Beautiful job done. We'd hired him again and highly recommend him. Thanks Tom!!

Mr. French was pleasant to work within the scheduling of this small job. He performed the work in an efficient and professional manner.

Just the same as last time. They arrived when they said they would, made sure that they knew exactly what I wanted and did it; quickly and perfectly. It took 3 days. I will hire them again.

Excellent. Tom is punctual and very responsive. Flexible in scheduling and always responsive. We had one minor issue after the work was done and he came back the next day to address our concern.

Floor looks good but price was $75.00 higher than quoted. Sink was installed but was not secured to wall.

I chose another option for renewing my tile.

Tom and Pablo did an excellent job pulling out the old tile and putting in travertine on my master bath floor. They were very careful and considerate while working in my home and provided great suggestions to ensure a beautiful finish. I will be using them again in the future. Awesome work!!

We had to re-do a tile installation from a previous company who we had used based on the recommendation of the company that installed our granite counter-tops. We should have deferred and checked Angie's List first. The job was sub-standard, the tiles were not installed with matching tile lines, and overall was just a poor job. From the beginning, the engagement with Tile Everything was far superior. Tom brought up aspects of the job which we had not been aware of, and the entire process proceeded as specified, without issue. Even the installation of the dry wall was far better than the previous contractor performed. We are delighted with the results and would definitely have every confidence in Tile Everything to perform any additional needs we may have in the future.

Excellent! I highly recommend Tile Everything and Tom French. Tom replied quickly with a very fair quote that was the final price paid. The job was done in 3 days. They showed up on time and worked hard. Removal of the existing marble floor was done very neatly. Bedroom furniture, carpet stairs and hardwood floor was covered with plastic and drop clothes. They took extra time and effort to remove the old tile right up to the vanity baseboard so I could avoid the extra expense of moving the cabinets. The finished floor looks great. Grout lines are even, cuts are straight, edges are clean. They did a very nice job. They disposed of all the old tile and cement board which is really nice since the garbage company won't take it. Company was called to help finish a job after another tile installer walked away - left without finishing the grout. I would have done it myself but there was a problem with support behind one outlet and I want that corrected before continuing the work. Grout looks great, Tom left everything in good shape and cleaned up before leaving. One area did not get caulked and I questioned him at the end. Since it was next to the cabinet he suggested using clear silicone rather than the sanded caulk - but did not offer to do that even though I had the product available (it was in the garage and might have been too cold to use right away). Biggest challenge was scheduling - I'd be told one time, then get a call or email that he was behind on another job and needed to reschedule - but that's a good sign, since the best people stay very busy. I was fortunate I didn't have to wait several months - one company I contacted told me in mid-January that they were currently scheduling for March.
