A Tile Experience

Description of Work: We were interested in having one bathroom showertub wall which had a hole from a fall repaired professionally. My husband repaired it but it was not up to the standard we both wanted. We received a few quotes for just the repair of the hole (about the size of a basketball) and then received quotes for the entire area. The price above is approximately the cost for all 3 projects. Original Project: Replace tile in the hallway bathroom tub/shower area. That expanded to include a recessed niche, tile up to the shower/ceiling and include the floor. Additional Project: Replace the tile in the master bathroom tub/shower area (again with a recessed niche and tile to the ceiling), replace tile in the bathroom area and then pull up carpet in the master vanity area and replace with tile. Additional Project: Glass tile will be done on the backsplash area of the kitchen around the sink and countertop area. The above projects are contracted. We are moving into the third phase of the above projects. Future project: Replace the Corian counter top with tile, a build out will be done to connect the island/cook top area with the countertop to give additional space and replace with tile.

Description of Work: Replace a broken marble hearth with tile. He came over to give the estimate took a piece of the hearth with him. He went to his supplier and found a matching tile. When installing, he had to cut all the pieces as the tile was 12x12 and the width was 20.5". He then had to polish the exposed edges which I had not even thought about.
