Paul and Scott did an excellent job on my project. They were clearly able to see my vision of what I wanted and offered suggestions as well. Their attention to detail was superb! Felt that their job completion time was adequate and that the price was fair. Had gotten one other quote that was slightly higher. Will definitely use again and would highly recommend.

It was delivered last week to me and is VERY beautiful and exactly what I had asked them to do . I was delighted to see that every detail was perfect , measurements and all aspects of the job. scott , the owner's son gave me excellent ideas on what would look good and practical and what would not . So I was truly guided in the process , and this was truly appreciated .... Thank you for recommending Kelley's custom woodworks to me , I could not be happier with this addition to my living room.

Scott and Paul were wonderful and I would highly recommend them--they were professional from the get go, grasped exactly what we wanted and needed, delivered a gorgeous product on time and on budget and were flexible enough to allow last minute changes and additions at a fair price.

I want to be fair about this, but I'm understandably upset about the entire transaction. We contacted Scott Kelley of Kelley Custom Woodworks back in later March. He came to our home where my wife and I explained a fairly complicated project for building a custom entertainment center. This would also require a small wall extension and some cabinet doors in the kitchen. Mr. Kelley went back and submitted a series of computer drawings to my wife. She had a lot of trouble understanding the 2D drawings and how they would work on our wall. She also took a good bit of time trying to decide whether to proceed on this project or, because she couldn't really get a good understanding of what was proposed, to spend our project money on outdoor awnings instead. Finally, in late July, she made up her mind and decided to go with Mr. Kelley's proposal. I emailed him and asked him to proceed with the caveat that the project be completed by the end of September (two months) because of a family reunion we were hosting in early October. There was no response from Mr. Kelley. I followed this up with a second e-mail on August 1, that Mr. Kelley responded to with apologies that his computer was giving problems and the statement that there was no way they could do this project in two months. I went home and discussed this with my wife who decided to proceed anyway with the understanding that the project would not be completed for her family reunion. On the evening of August 1, I sent a second email to Scott telling him to proceed anyway, just to make sure that the project was either completed (should he have a cancellation) or not started at all during mid-October. I have never received a response from Scott to this email. I followed it up with a second reminder on August 9, which has also been ignored. It is my opinion that Mr. Kelley became angry due to the lengthy time my wife required to make up her mind about the project and simply "wrote us off". At no time was any sort of commitment made by us as to when we expected to begin the project and as a custom builder, I'd think that Mr. Kelley would have to wait for clients to decide what they wanted a good amount of the time. Few people engage in custom building without careful consideration of what they want to achieve. But in any case, I think it was highly unprofessional to simply ignore repeated emails. If you don't want my business, that's fine. But don't make me wait weeks before engaging another contractor because I wanted to be fair and make sure you were given the opportunity to do the work. If you don't want my business, say so and I'll go find someone else. *UPDATE-Responding to Mr. Kelly's response ...as I said above, he was offered the choice between finishing before October 19th OR starting after that time, which would've had no impact on other customers and would've put us squarely in his "first come, first served" policy...but he refused to respond to us at all. The above response does not fit with the circumstances.

From start to finish, they were very helpful and professional. I emailed them with rough measurements and they contacted me right away to discuss the project further. They were very helpful with design ideas and had solutions for what I thought could be a challenging installation. After our phone conversation, they worked around my schedule to come out and take detailed measurements for the bookcase. Once design details were confirmed, they began building the bookcase right away in their shop. It was delivered on time and on the day promised. Installation was quick and clean and the fit and look of the bookcase was absolutely perfect. During installation, we got talking about an unfinished project I had been working on. They took a look and said they could help, and made a couple small custom pieces of wood so I could finish the project! They went above and beyond in my book. Highly recommended.

I gave them a check on January 28th about 40%. They told me it would be $400, but it came out to $1100. The plumber was great. The part of the nook is finished and the part of it is not. They dug into the unfinished part to make the finished part a little bit larger. It is a father-son situation. The father was just wonderful to deal with; but the son and I, our personalities just clashed from day one. It should have been 4-6 weeks job, turned out into three months job. I have a contract that says it should take 4-6 weeks and it was really frustrating. They would come by and do an hour or two work. They hardly came 15 times. It would have been just a couple of days where they would have spent 6-7 hours. I wish I would have tracked the exact time they would have spent here. It was kind of squeezing me in with other jobs because I was close to their business. They did a nice job, but I had to wait for completion of job. I don't know what kind of wood they used to do the work around the nook. I have already painted it twice. All in all, the kitchen cabinets were really nice and that's what their specialty is & that's what I told them to do. They didn't finish the job and left few things undone, so that's what I told them. My husband is a handyman, but he is older now and can't do the work as well. The son was horrible and I wouldn't use him again.

After finding the Kelleys on Angies List, I contacted them and set up and appointment. They (father and son) came on time and were extremely helpful with ideas and changes. I wanted them to build an entertainment center to look almost exactly like the one I already had in my living room. They made several suggestions for alterations (i.e., moving the TV shelf up slightly so that it is more on eye-level, have a shelf under the TV, rather than above, for the boxes). They completed the work on time and spent at least 2-3 hours putting it together and installing it in my house. They also made a dresser and bedside table for one of the bedrooms. I am extremely pleased with the results. The entertainment center fit perfectly into the space, which means that their measurements were exact. I love the way it looks. I also am happy with the dresser and bedside table, and plan to have another bedside table made. Overall, the experience was excellent. The father and son are both personable and easy to talk to.

Scott Kelley and his dad took plans from our architect and brought them to live in a way that in my opinion was even better then what the architect had in mind. As the construction progressed we found other things that made more sense and implemented them into the plan and came up with something very functional and unique. We hired Kelley Custom Woodworking to build 6 custom studio tables and to build and put up helmhultz acoustic resonators and treatments on 6 walls. The entire job went extremely smooth, they were always on time and very cooperative. I only wish I could put up photos so you can see how great everything looks. Will definitely use them again.

I was really satisfied with the work. He really saw my vision and was able to create it for. He even found the exact materials that I was looking for. He was also very reasonably priced and the materials he used looked really good.

I contacted and spoke with the owner of Kelley Custom Woodworks the same day. I explained what I wanted; from previous work they had done, he knew exactly what I wanted. He came out, measured, and gave me an estimate. Work started shortly after we chose the wood type, color, and cabinet door details. These guys are very detailed oriented and are very concerned about getting the job right and as exact as possible. Because of this and the reason I gave them a "B" on punctuality is that the job took longer than I had planned; however, at the beginning of the job I did tell them there was no rush. They constructed and stained the entire unit off site in their woodworking shop; when completed, they brought everything to the house (we had cleared out everything before they arrived) and began. The work entailed removing the baseboard and shoe molding along the entire wall before installing the unit; they also made sure holes were drilled through the cabinets so that electrical cords could be accessible. The also made sure to build the cabinet which would be up against the electrical socket so that the socket would be easily accessible. After the job they said if I needed additional shelves or any holes drilled, etc., they would be happy to do whatever we needed. Without question, they did a fantastic job! I absolutely love what they have done. Kelley Custom Woodworks should be on everyone's list for this type of service.

Our original contractor was terrible. They had claimed to be professionals, but they didn't know what they were doing. In the end, our kitchen remodel was so bad that we didn't even have them finish. We fired them, lost a lot of money, and decided to pay someone else to fix and finish the job. This company did a great job. It was nice to have someone who knew what they were doing.

The overall experience was very good - we received a prompt estimate, the price was very reasonable compared to the other few quotes we received and ultimately was why we chose Kelley Custom Woodwork over others. I was a bit concerned about quality given the price difference, but in the end, the piece looks fantastic and was professionally installed. We will definitely contact Scott again for our next project.

They designed it to fit with the rest of the cabinets in our kitchen, and even did an excellent job matching the natural finish. They sent pictures as the cabinet was constructed in their shop, as well as kept in touch via email and phone during the process. Overall, a very good experience, and we will definitely use them again.

He was excellent. They worked and did not waste anytime getting the job finished. They were highly professional and I am very pleased with their work.

He met with us to discuss ideas. We presented Scott with plans and elevations and in the next meeting, we refined the plan. Everything turned to our satisfaction. Scott is very creative. The cabinets were upgraded 24 years at a cost of half of the new cabinets.

Called and asked for quote. Accepted quote. They designed cabinets and then we adjusted and approved. Took a few weeks to get started and picked color light. Once that was done completed cabinets and then installed.

In addition to the comments above, we appreciate the fact that Mr. Kelley e-mailed us pictures of the cabinet unit as it progressed. We also appreciate his calling ahead for appointments and keeping the appointments made. We highly recommend Kelley Custom Works and thank Angie's List.

Paul and Scott ( father and son ) came to our house for a diagnosis of what I wanted and how best to achieve the look which I explained. It was obvious from the beginning that they were knowledgeable, honest and kind. They transformed a boring kitchen island/breakfast area into a gorgeous kitchen island into a true work of art. I'm so proud of my island that I can't express my delight! They also tore out an existing bar/wine storage area ten custom built a new two-sided glass cabinet. ALL of their work is outstanding. I'm amazed and delighted at the quality of their work and grateful for their continual patience, respect and professionalism from start to finish. I plan to have them do additional work in the family room, I wouldn't consider using anyone else, they're fantastic!
