Advantage Mechanical Heating and Air Conditioning

Greg came to my house and checked unit, did not do a good job of cleaning unit, told me I needed freon when I did not need it. He over changed the unit and I had problems, he came back and took the freon out and then told me I was not getting the freon money back because he cleaned the coils in the furnace. He also told me I would be need a system soon, which I do not.

This company installed an HVAC system into an unfinished basement. In an attempt to speed the installation, the people on site made a number of decisions that would impact future design/placement without reference to the finish plans that had been drawn up, and when placing register/vents into the finished first floor they changed vent locations and cut into hardwood floors without approval or notice. They additionally did not complete the work as quoted, then offered a reduction on the quote until the basement was built out and the work would be finished. I did not mind this and went ahead and paid the reduced amount. Surprise surprise I noticed a few days later that they went ahead and charged my card for the undone work anyway. They apologized and said they would credit the refund 3 months ago, we've spoken a number of times about this but I have yet to see the refund. Phone calls are poorly returned, lots of promises but poor follow-through. Avoid this company unless you like being overcharged for unfinished work and are fine with an HVAC contractor unilaterally deciding to ignore your architect.
