My house had been damaged by a severe hail storm & Southern Specialty came out promptly to assess the damage. They performed a thorough inspection of my entire property. Then gave me a complete listing of things needing repair or replacing. They returned when the insurance adjuster came out to assist in any help they could. We agreed on a contract of work needing to be performed. The materials arrived promptly. The workers showed up also promptly and began working. First they spread tarps on the ground around the house to catch any falling nails or scraps. They removed all of the old roofing, vents, etc. They then replaced the roofing, vents, etc. I was in the building business myself for many years & I will say that was one of the best roofing jobs I've ever seen. All the rows of shingles & the rain grooves in the shingles were in perfect straight alignment. They definitely knew what they were doing. After they finished all the roofing work, they cleaned up all debris that had fallen to the ground. I haven't even found a single nail on the ground since they left. My lawn mower appreciates that. They even cleaned out my gutters. I am completely satisfied with all the work performed & would highly recommend them to anyone needing home repairs. Which I did, I recommended them to my parents for their roof replacement. JOB WELL DONE!!

The best of the best. I couldn't of ask for better end product and response time related to any questions or concerns that I had before, during and yes even weeks after all the work was completed. I am very picky and take my time in choosing companies not to mention colors and other decisions. Select Specialty gave me all the time I needed without any pressure. I was most impressed by the skill level and attention to detail that the painters demonstrated. They pointed out things I would not have noticed, such as wallpaper boarder that was previously painted over and had to be removed. They removed the boarder and painted the wall for a perfect finish.

The work was Fantastic, color choice was perfect and workers were very courteous to my indecisive decision making.

Rod acted in a very professional manor, Making sure every thing was done right and in a timely manor. Ryan did a great job working with the roof inspector and making sure he located all the damage. It was great to have someone with excellent knowledge of how to work with the insurance company ( ROD ) and get us the funds from the Insurance co.we needed to have to complete the repair. Tim was amazing! He came within two hours of my phone call, quickly assessed the problem (a shingle and tar paper had blown out of place), nailed them back in place and didn't charge us a dime. He left his card and told us to call him if it didn't solve the leak problem, but so far it's been great! Very professional and courteous, and definitely recommend.

They did an amazing job! The painting looks great, drywall repairs looks great! The workers were all very polite, very nice people. They were very respectful of our home and cleaned up very well after the job was completed. The plumbing job that was through the same contractor did a very good job, we are totally satisfied with "Southern Specialty" contractor and will recommend to our friends and we will use them again I am sure.

After a couple of visits by the sales reps, the roofers came in and put the roof on in one day. They worked with my HVAC guy so I could have new solar fans added to the roof on the same day. The gutter guys came a few days later and finished in a couple of hours. I have a pretty nice looking roof. When ever I had a question, the project manager and/or Rod, the owner were available to me. i will recommend them to others.

The work was not completed but not due to any fault of his. We were looking to buy the home and the repairs were part of the loan agreement. The house did not appraise for th e necessary value needed so we had to walk away from the deal. Rod was a professional in all areas including telling us that this might be the outcome based on what was needed for the house. He was right ... But thanks to his heads up we were not as surprised as we would have otherwise been. His estimate for the work was in line with the other three estimates that we got for the work but we selected him because he was on time with the appointment, spent the necessary time needed to understand the repairs And gave the written estimate when promised. He also worked well with the bank on the additional paperwork required due to the nature of the work to be completed.

A hail storm hit my area on March 18, 2013. I called Rod Holbrook with Southern Specialty as soon as the storm passed He was at my home the following morning and within a week all repairs had been made to my home, including a new roof, gutters, and siding. Rod also worked with the insurance adjustor to make certain all necessary repairs were done. All the workers were professional and did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend Southern Specialty to anyone looking for a contractor.

I am the Pastor of Antioch Community Baptist Church in Woolsey, Georgia. We needed to build handicap ramps to access three different levels. I contacted Rod Holbrook and explained we needed advice on the best way to accomplish this and an estimate of the cost. We met at the church the next day and I explained everything we were trying to accomplish. With Rod's help we decided the best location for two ramps on the inside of the buildings. Rod told me about several difficulties that we would run into and also how he would deal with each one. We would be dealing with three different levels, built at different times in the church's history. The original building is more than 180 years old which presented special challenges. Rod explained that the cost would run around $3,000.00 for the structural portion of the work. He then told me that he wanted to do the work and supply the materials at no cost to the church. The work was started the following week and was completed in a timely manner on schedule. Rod and his crew were both reliable and skilled in every aspect of the work. Our congregation is very thankful for their hard work and Rod's generosity. There is no doubt that I will recommend Southern Specialty Contractor LLC to anyone who needs work on there home or business. I will also keep Rod's number handy for future needs for Antioch, even though we did not pay for the work done because of Rod's generosity, it would have been worth every penny. Called and left a message with them that i would like a quote on repairs to my porch. Waited 2 days for a response and was told they were too busy. I did not need the work done right away but that apparently does not matter to them because they're too busy to even provide a quoteon a simple job.

I was impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail. They did a great job! My window was installed in March and I recently noticed a hairline crack in the window sill. Called Southern Specialty and was told the installer would call to set up a time. He called the next morning, set up a time for that afternoon and resolved the issue. I was very impressed with the quick response and great customer service that was provided.

Job well done. As a customer I am very pleased and plan to be a repeat client!

Arrived early in morning and began work. Carpets removed, then paneling and heaters. Painting began with two members of the team while another did dry wall work to fill in the space where the heaters were. All ceilings were painted first allowing the dry wall mud to dry. After a lunch break the team returned to install quarter round and paint walls and trim. My only complaint is that I would rather it had been a two day job as I had expected. Being displaced for twelve hours was a little inconvenient. However all work was done and I was thankful that it was. I later called Rod and asked him how much he would charge to move some heavy furniture and remove a lot of refuse from my yard (not from his job, they always clean up). He stated that if I could wait a few days he would have all that taken care of for no additional charge. I agreed. By the end of the week he sent out two guys who took care of the service. All went well.

He came out and gave me a quote. We are in the process of setting up a contract.

It went very well, we were delayed a week or so due to a tropical storm coming into the area. They secured my tarps on my roof with no additional charges. One a day was scheduled, the crew showed early in the morning and got right to work. They were done by the time I got home, and there was little to no mess left behind. The process was easy for me. The roof looks great, I don't have to worry about leaks, and this fall I have certainly appreciated the gutter coverings. I would defintely use Southern Speciality again

After checking the reviews on Angie's List, I decided to call and he answered the phone immediately. I explained what kind of job I need to be done and asked if he can give me an estimate. He gave me the estimate over the phone just from my explanation of what needs to be done. He said there is $59 service charge and $39 an hour labor charge for 16 hours (about $680 he said) of work plus parts which could be about $150 and about $900 total. He told me that he does not have the time to go to the site and give me an estimate since he is busy and the job is not big enough. I believe he should take off the FREE ESTIMATE from his posting and instead put the $59 service charge requirement to come and give the estimate.

I had a pipe bust and flood majority of my townhome. Southern Speciality was hired to complete the rebuild and restore of my home. I am very pleased by the service that was provided and would fully recommend them to anyone else needing home repair and remodeling. They were very professional, curtious, and respectful throughout the entire process. They finished the job on time and on budget from the original scope of work. Rod was very helpful in working with the Insurance company to ensure my house was restored to its previous state prior to the incident. Their quality of work was superb and you can tell they care about the end product and take pride in what they do. Very pleased and will use them for any personal remodeling projects in the future. I thought their price was fair. They did everything they said they would. They responded to my call quickly and gave a quote over the phone. They showed up two days later and got the work done. I thought they were very nice and trustworthy.

Rod made the whole process smooth and easy. Every attention to detail was made. They were very accommodating to our work schedule servicing our funerals. Southern Specialty is our go to contractor for all of our remodeling and repair needs. We are very satisfied with the quality workmanship as well as the professionalism of Rod and all of his crew. I highly recommend Southern Specialty for any project and will only use them for our projects.

I emailed for an appt. I received a follow up email. He came out and then sent me an estimate.

I liked Rod. He suggested some things we needed to do first which we'll probably do. I was really pleased with him & what he said & will probably use him.
