Our roof job was not easy and I think they probably under priced it but they did what they needed and the communication was excellent which is what really won the contract from us. Chris answered every question promptly and my wife had a lot of them. I am in real estate and deal with contractors all the time and was very impressed and I now refer them to my clients.
Description of Work: Complete roof replacement, some painting, repairs and a chimney cap.

+ 0 moreSince the initial contact with the KTM roofing company, another licensed roofer restored In the Atlanta Metro area replaced my roof in mint condition. He too, having been a former employee of KTM was constantly harassed via text, email, and voice by Mr. McLoughlin of KTM Roofing all apparently stemming from the fact he did not with the bid or proposal. The details above tell the story. At no point in Mr. Mcloughlin's forwarding of emails did he apologize or infer that he himself was apologetic for a purported yet obviously stated HOMPHOBIC rant or that he does not condone this lack of diversity in behavior be cause he himself finds it humorous.( Email available for review) I would NEVER encourage the use of such a maniacal, and persistently harassing antics.I have ALL supporting documentation including sound clips to support my comments in this forum.This contact with KTM from the beginning has been distressful and humiliating. The harassment issue is being dealt with in a legal manner to the fullest extent of the law. I would never recommend KTM as a candidate for roofing replacement on ethics of behaviors alone.
Description of Work: Description of Complaint: Friday, 2-13-15 @ 10:00-10:30 AM A Salesman was arrived at my residence as scheduled. Very quickly it was determined that I needed a new roof. Multiple photos were taken of roof decay. On Saturday the 14th April 2015 I informed the salesman via email directly I was not excited over a new roof but perhaps I I would be when all was said and done. At some point over the weekend, the salesman terminated his employment with KTM Roofing.NO contract was ever presented, NO proposal ever finalized. Soon after in the following week , Saturday the 14th of I reached out to the representative only to learn the sales representative no longer worked at KTM Roofing rather he was his own company and fully incorporated. I never received any follow-up from KTM informing the representative had left. Never received follow-up continuing to solicit or desire my business or as to whom my new account rep would be in replacement. I never received any type of communication. 4/17/2015 1:57pm Mr. McLoughlin initiated a saved Voice Mail threatening a subpoena to me for going with another company and threaten the action of retaliation over “contract conversion”. No contract has ever been signed to date. Near the end of message Mr. McLoughlin went into into a raised voice rant stating "how could I even think (be stupid) about choosing to use another company. What was I thinking? “…and more…” (File saved for playback) 4/20/2015 Approximately 1:00pm Since that time Mr. McLoughlin, Presidents of KTM Roofing has impersonated me at Division 7 Roofing Supply to see who was handling my roof- verified by Division 7 Atlanta front office. 5/18/2015 Mr. McLoughlin has sent emails with homophobic slurs personally attacking me with the wish for violence which were widely circulated in KTM and never served a reprimand to the behavior or a redaction and apology. 4/22/2015 Approximately 2:00pm Mr. McLoughlin impersonated me to the office of the City of Brookhaven to try to disrupt the work going on at my home which was fully permitted. There are several other types of harassing behavior Mr. McLoughlin has evidenced with former staff indirectly to attack me and my property. He has forbidden CRS Roofing Supply to sell to anyone he does not approve attempting to apparently create a roofing monopoly, in his mind, within the Atlanta Market. All behavior stems from his not winning the bid for my proposal. No signatures or contracts or approved documents were ever exchanged. 4/17/2015 1:45pm Mr. McLoughlin initiated a cellular Voice call threatening legal action and claims over not “getting the job” and that he would “follow-up” after he was inadvertently copied on an email to another company who had won the final bid. 4/17/2015 1:57pm Mr. McLoughlin initiated a saved Voice Mail threatening a subpoena to me for going with another company and threaten the action of retaliation over “contract conversion”. Called confirmed by online office staff at Division 7 that my identity was in fact falsified (stolen) by Mr. McLoughlin. 4/22/2015 Approximately 2:00pm Mr. McLoughlin called the city permit office of Brookhaven claiming that a permit had not been filed and that suspicious construction was going on at my home address. Falsifying himself as a neighbor. 5/19/2015 11:34pm Mr. McLoughlin forwarded an email from an former KTM ex-employee whom I share friendship with the intention of sending an email never intended for me as recipient. This was in willful violation of KTM email policy of refraining of sharing emails with unintended recipients. His opening suggests it was forwarded the sole purpose of attempting to cause me emotional distress. (File Saved)

+ -1 moreAfter calling several roofing companies, KTM responded quickly and came out to inspect my roof. They inspected the roof by the chimney where the garage ceiling was dripping water. The roofer said the chimney cap needed to be replaced. He showed me foots of the damaged cap. He said his company does not do chimney cap repairs but to call a chimney sweep company.
Description of Work: They checked on a leak in garage ceiling.

+ -1 moreIt can be difficult to find a decent roofer. I was pleasantly surprised to find an excellent roofer in KTM. I have used them for roofing and gutter work for two properties. Richard and Tim provide top notch consultative, value added service. The homeowner is fully educated on what needs to be done and why. Their staff is amazingly thorough and conscientious down to the final clean up. You won't have to suffer through damaged landscaping or picking up nails forever with KTM. KTM does not consider the job done until you are completely satisfied.
Description of Work: KTM replaced gutters on two houses and the roof on one house.

They got the job done in about a day and a half. The scheduling was very good. They also went to a great extent to protect the landscaping around the house. They used tarps to protect it so nothing got damaged.
Description of Work: They put on a new roof. We have a asphalt shingle roof. They also had to replace some rotted wood.

+ 0 moreI liked them very much. They were responsive. Everyone that came out was very personable. The price that they quoted was fair. The work was a little messy that concerned me because I have young children & pets and there were nails everywhere. When I called and talked about it, they sent the crew right back out and cleaned up again. It was responsive and a good thing. They were very efficient. They got the work done in one day. They said it would take a day and they did exactly what they said they would do. It would be helpful if more than one person in their crew speaks English. I hate making comments like that, but it was a real problem. Their prices were average. Their punctuality was extremely good.

+ -1 moreBut the original builder had run our ac lines against the roof decking. The roofers nailed through 16 feet of it. That wound up accelerating our purchase of a new hvac system by about 6 months or so. These folks were extremely responsiveness in the past whenever we had a leak in the old roof. While not the cheapest, they were one of the lowest bids we received. Cannot say enough about how pleasant Casey Brenner, the office manager, was to work with.
Description of Work: Removed old roofing and installed new roofing for the entire house. Everything went great.

+ -1 moreI called KTM Roofing right after I noticed a couple of watermarks on my ceiling. I asked them to come out and take a look at my roof. It took them approximately a week to get out to my house because they were backed up with several other jobs ahead of mine due to a recent storm. The technician arrived at my home during the appointment window and performed the work previously described. They did a good job of making the repairs and I have not noted any more leaks. For the work done, I thought the charge was fair. KTM did follow up with me after the repair work was done to make sure I was satisfied and to see if there were any problems during the call. I am happy with the work they performed on my house and i liked doing business with them.
Description of Work: I noticed watermarks on my ceiling and requested a service call to check it out. I was expecting a possible new roof to be needed. The technician came out and looked at the ceiling and then the roof. He walked the entire roof and inspected it completely. The technician said that it was just a very small curled area on the roof that was causing the leak. He also recomended replacing the boots on the vent pipes exiting the roof. He repaired the leak and replaced the boots. The technician said that the roof was still in very good condition and still had about 4-5 years of life left.

+ 0 moreWe called several roofers in search of a solution to to the leaking around our stone-faced chimney. The irregular surface of the stones had defied previous attempts to achieve a long-lasting seal. KTM Roofing inspected our roof and offered a creative solution using lead flashing to conform to the chimney contours, and was the only roofer to warranty this installation. We also had them replace the roof over our back porch, which had a very shallow pitch and was prone to leak. Lastly, we had them install gutter protectors in our existing gutters, plus add a new gutter.Their installers arrived on time, on the scheduled day, and worked tirelessly. Everything was installed as promised, in a workman-like manner, and all debris was cleaned up. I climbed up to inspect the roof and it was spotless, which is unusual, in my experience. We did notice that some of the flashing was a slightly different color that what I has expected--which was my fault for not pointing it out before they left--but they came back and repainted it, no questions asked.I will be considering them again when it is time to replace the main roof!
Description of Work: Installed Gutterglove(R) gutter protection system on existing gutters; installed bitumin roof on back porch; repaired asphalt-shingle roof; installed special flashing system around stone-faced chimney.

I had the estimate done which was on the lower side but not the cheapest but overall the impression I got was of an interested and concerned company who would stand behind their work. The team came, removed the old roof and put the new one on. I knew there were some places in the plywood which would require replacement and they were good about showing where the problems were and about charging for what they actually used. There was a mistake with the installation of an additional roof vent pipe for the kitchen and with the new attic vent system but they were not major and it was all worked out. Cleanup was good but not superb.

+ -1 morePeople at KTM Roofing Co. Inc. seemed to care about what they did and how they worked. Gutters were something new for them so in the end I found that some of the gutters were scratched. It didn’t seem to be done correctly. However, they did come out and fixed that. It took a couple of visits for them to fix it and I didn’t pay them until it was complete. It seemed to go pretty well overall. Their pricing was fine. I would use them again in the future if required.
Description of Work: KTM Roofing Co. Inc. did some gutter work for me in November. They replaced the gutters.

+ -1 moreKTM started the job on time and made good progress until a freak rainstorm halted the project for a few days. Despite best efforts, some rain damage was sustained inside the building due to a tarp that was blown off position. Although reaching KTM to discuss the damage was initially difficult, in the end they took ownership of the problem and repaired all the damage. The roof job was a complete success as all of our chronic leaks ceased immediately. KTM beautifully matched and replaced our missing terra cotta tiles and replaced any of the existing ones that were broken. Despite the storm damage mishap, I still fully recommend KTM and their crew of skilled workers. They have maintained our roof for several years and far outshine every other roofing company we have used.
Description of Work: Complete replacement of a built-up roof for our 1920 era condominium building in Ansley Park. KTM also replaced a section of terra cotta tiles that had been removed on the side of our building.

+ 1 moreI received a prompt bid and the owner was willing to replace rotten siding where it met the roof line. There was no rush on my part to have the job completed. The work was scheduled at the last minute because of a sudden opening in the schedule, but I had no problem with this. What I did have a problem with was the lack of supervision of the roofing crew. My job is close to home so I passed by home several times during the day. I did not see the supervisor on any passbys until the near end of day. Before his appearance, the crew had been idle since lunch. He made a quick appearance late afternoon before disappearing again and shortly afterward a bad thunderstorm occurred and the crew continued worked until he returned to stop them. Because of the lack of supervision, a 1 day job took 2. Another problem, was the dumpster which stayed unnecessarily all weekend and which may have attracted a burglar suspecting a vacant house.
Description of Work: I had two layers of roof removed and replaced with 30 year shingles. I also had bathroom vents added and some siding replaced.

One guy quoted and a different guy scheduled, so they had mix-ups with scheduling, thus they took longer than they were supposed to take. The crew was drinking on the job and the owners didn't even seem concerned. The price was reasonable and the job ended up being done correctly. They also cleaned up well. However, with all of the other issues, I would not hire them again.
Description of Work: They replaced my 4000 square foot roof with shingles.
