Description of Work: We use them as a retail outlet for chemicals. The people staffing the store do not always know what their inventory is. (Hired help) We asked them for an estimate on a new pool construction but they were not personally interested in a $50.000 project. We chose someone else.

Immediately, I started having problems with my salt water chlorine generator system (Compu Pool CPA300). It was wired in parallel to my pump timer (recommended by Compu Pool). It was giving a "water fault" error message and would not generate chlorine - meaning it was detecting no water flow through the cell. I contacted Mr. Thompson about it, and he said he would try to get someone out to look at it. In the mean time, I decided to rewire the system to a dedicated circuit and use the CPA300 internal timer (alternate wiring method). This fixed the error messages. Within 2 months, the system began to display a new error message "non-genuine, contact dealer". I again called Mr. Thompson, and he said he would "probably come out and replace the whole d*** thing". Without waiting, I decided to troubleshoot the problem myself. I found that the electrode connector on the back of the chlorine cell was corroding. I removed the connector, and clean corrosion from the 3 electrodes. The system worked fine after that. I contacted Mr. Thompson and told him what I had found and what I did, and he said several other systems had been doing the same thing, and he would make a note of what fixed it. Within 2 months, the problem returned. I again removed the connector and cleaned massive amounts of corrosion from the electrodes. This problem persisted for over a year, and now, the system will not even initialize. I've contacted Mr. Thompson, and he said I should contact Compu Pool and resolve the problem myself. Compu Pool insists they have a new system on it's way to me...that was 4 weeks ago. Every week I call them, they tell me "we're waiting for your parts" "they'll be in next Tuesday!" After the last call, I contacted Mr. Thompson and informed him of the problems I was having with Compu Pool. He said he was having the same problems with them, and doesn't know what to tell me. He said I should keep trying. I asked him what he was going to do "to make this right" and he said there was really nothing he could do, and that he was in the same boat with Compu Pool. In the mean time, I'm forced to buy 3" chlorine tablets (at 10 times the cost) to keep my pool clear. Hind sight 20/20, I should have waited to see if Thompson Pools would have made good on replacing the system a year ago.
Description of Work: Thompson Pools installed an in-ground pool approximately 1-1/2 years ago. They did a fantastic job, and we love the pool. The pool is approximately 2,500 gal kidney shape with a 4' concrete "cool deck" surround, bullnose coping, 4' steps, deep end ladder, 2 skimmers, LED color light show system, 1/2 hp pump w/filter Compu Pool CPA300 salt water chlorine generation system installed. Plumbed for future automatic vacuum system. All work was performed on-time to my satisfaction and standards. Mr. Thompson assured me that any problems I had "we'll make it right".
