I was very happy with them. They did an excellent job and were very professional.

I could have been working with another handyman instead of waiting for Butch to do what was promised. I lost days.... I recommend if you go with him have a backup plan.

He came out quickly and on time to discuss the work HOWEVER he never followed up with a quote or reply, despite being called a couple of times. If he was not interested in the work, he should have said so. Really frustrating! Given this is the 2nd reporting of this type of thing - it's starting to look like a trend!

I did like him. A lady came with him and they were very professional. I called and he said he had an estimate for me and then they never got back with me.

He came out shortly after we initially contacted him. However, he never followed up with a proposal, despite being called a couple of times.

He was very nice and pleasant to work with. He was punctual and honored the estimate he originally gave me.

They gave me an estimate and they were really top notch! They were really professional.

Butch came out within just a few days after I called and was prepared to do the work when he got here if I approved the estimate. The door was in in an hour and he cleaned up every bit of siding and insulation that he had to take out. He relocated the electrical outlet so that it was still convenient and made sure it was working before he left. Even though it was a very small job he was willing to do it as professionally as if it was a major renovation! He even gave me an estimate of $150.00 and charged me $125.00 because he said it did not take him as long as he thought it would. He will be the first one I call when I have any other general maintenance problems--small OR large! He really earned my business.

Just great. Called came when he said he would finished on time and came back to follow up.

I had them come out to give me an estimate to repair some drywall that was damaged from a leak and to get an estimate on repairing and restaining my deck. They came out on time and took all the measurements. They said it would be a day or two before they got back to me with a quote. That was two weeks ago and I still to not have the quote. I'm not sure if the job was out of their skill range or they just did not need the job.

This is the second time I have used Butch. He has done a great job both times.

Butch was very professional, efficient, on time, knowledgeable. He was very familiar with my specific water heater. He knew the elements and the thermostat needed to be changed. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He also had to fix a broken valve on the water heater.

The process started with a meeting with Butch to pick out the carpet. He brought us samples to match what we were looking for and when we couldn't decide between three different colors, he even got us larger pieces of each so that we could actually see how the carpet would look on the floor. On the day of installation, Butch and the installers arrived promptly and took extra care to move and protect all of our furniture prior to starting on each room. The installers worked steadily under Butch's supervision and by the end of the day we had beautiful new carpet with all of our furniture back in its place. I've used this company for other services in the past and once again they did not disappoint. I am thoroughly pleased with the quality of the work.

We chose AMMS because the owner is honest, has good knowledge about home maintenance and repair work. His estimate is reasonable and he is easy to work with. He is also on time to provide estimate and the repair work was completed during the specified time. Overall, AMMS did a A+ job and I'm happy to use AMMS again in future.

After spending a couple of months meeting with and getting quotes from several contractors my wife and I decided to go with AMMS because of their professionalism and knowledge of the project requirements. We were given an approximate start date which, as it approached we were contacted and informed that the job they were currently on was running a day over and that they would be able to start one day later than expected. This gave us the opportunity to plan accordingly. When they first arrived I was a little skeptical when told that a crew of 2 -3 would perform most of the work. With a total of around 1200 sq. ft of walls, floors and ceiling to replace, I didn't see how so few people could complete such a project on schedule. During the course of the project Butch ran across a couple of unexpected things, among them, some faulty electrical wiring in a few areas which he corrected at no additional cost. While he was at the home we wound up having to replace our upstairs refrigerator and the new one was too tall for the space under one of the cabinets. They removed the cabinet and took it with them. A few days later the cabinet had been trimmed down and modified in a way that you would never had known that the cabinets were not custom built to fit around the new fridge. By the time the basement remodeling was complete all of the floors which had previously been carpeted were now ceramic tile, except for the two bedrooms and one hot tub room had been converted into a full bath and three closets, all of which my wife said was a must have. We are totally pleased with our "new" full basement, not only in its appearance but, for the comfortable feeling it generates. The only down side is, now whenever I plan to enjoy it my teenage kids seem to have settled in where before they would rarely spend time. We would happily use AMMS again and would refer them to anyone that know who may be in need of home repairs of any kind. When I find out how to submit photos I will add some of the completed project.

They were very responsive - they came quickly and we scheduled the job right away. They came promptly. It only took one day to finished the job. I was disappointed in the preparation of the walls prior to painting. Taping was done, but the painting was done by using a pole on the upper part of the walls and around the window. They left several spots of colored paint on the white trim of the window. Also, the edges were fuzzy. They also didn't sand a portion of the wall where a thermostat had been replaced. To be fair, once we called them, they came back to correct the spots and sand the wall with by the thermostat, but the edges around the window are still fuzzy.

Their broad understanding of home maintenance, repair, and how things work was impressive. The quality of their work was superior. They were professional in every way. When they were done, I felt that my money had been well spent. I think these are the folks that your father said "don't exist any more". I'd hire them again in a "New York" minute.

We initially met with B**** the owner of AMMS on a Sunday afternoon and we were impressed. Having interviewed two other companies he, after this initial meeting, became our leading candidate. B**** told us he would get us a quote by the following Wednesday. We were not in a rush to get the work done, but were eager to choose who would be doing the work for us. There was no quote by mid evening on Wednesday so my fiance called and left a message for B****. No quote by end of day Thursday with no response to the original phone call and another call midday on Thursday. Same thing on Friday with one more phone call. By the end of the day on Friday I called B**** and got through to him. He was harried and gruff when I asked if he was still interested in doing the work for us because we hadn't gotten his quote. He explained that he was very busy, but would get us the quote by late that night. And he did. By Sunday we were ready to make a decision and had settled on AMMS, but had a couple of questions. Again, my fiance called and left a message. There was no return call by late Monday afternoon so she called and left another message. Not forceful or aggressive in any way. By this time I was beginning to wonder if AMMS wanted the job and felt that if we were going to work with them that I wanted to talk before we began about communication and making sure that both parties did what they said they would when then said they would. I decided to call B****. Early the next Tuesday afternoon I called his cell and reached him. My initial question to him was if he was still interested. Again, unapologetic, he said he was very busy, but was still interested. I told him that I wanted to clear the air about the above issues and he immediately became defensive and aggressive. He told me if this is how it was going to be and we were only at the estimate phase that we didn't have to use him. I told him I knew that, but we wanted to work with him, but just wanted to make sure that everyone's expectations and means of communication were the same. He said that he didn't have the original estimate in front of him and would need that to talk through the questions that we had. We agreed to speak the next morning. A few minutes later he called back leaving a message saying after talking it over with his partner that we weren't a good fit for them. The whole episode was rude, unprofessional, uncalled for and unnecessary. Clearly this company was too busy for the size job that we had and that would have been fine to say and would have been understood. THE issue is not doing what he said, not returning phone calls and being nasty to people that were anything but that. I would not recommend this company.

The quality of the work was excellent. I've used AMMS once before and will continue to call when repairs are needed.

Very well - I don't like songs and dances except at the ballet or theater! Follow up: I regret to say that the company's followup has been far less than stellar. Their initial responses and price were excellent. However, when I asked them to followup on a second job I needed done, they never responded with an estimate or any word. Then recently the original leak in the supply connection started again (this time worse than ever!) and I've still had no word from this company. After several calls and message pleas for them to get back to me, all I get is silence. I've had no water at this house and will have to hire another plumber to do what they should have fixed in the first place!

This is a rental property that my husband used to take care of. But due to health issues he is no longer able. To find someone to come and do the little things (mailbox, kitchen sink, unstick windows) is wonderful. But to also be able to do the big things (new doors, carpet, etc.) was wonderful. Mr. Meyer was completely professional and polite, always on time and the work was excellent.

From the first interaction B**** was courteous and responsive. He arrived when scheduled and promptly completed all work as discussed. He cleaned up any debris before he left and the work done was fantastic.

B**** is exceptional. Consider yourself lucky if you select him. He is thorough, professional, efficient, honest, and does wonderful work. We will be using him again.

Butch quickly replied to my email and he gave me an estimate for installing a front porch light, two ceiling fans, two outlets in the garage ceiling, a light in the attic, as well as completing the installation of a garage door opener. Kathy and Butch arrived on time and worked diligently. They worked well as a team as well as doing excellent work. Butch came the next day to complete the installation of the garage door as well as change out two wall switches, change a toilet seat, and hang a mirror. He will be coming to my house to install an attic ladder and do some other jobs. I am very pleased with the work done.
