It may have been about 5 months ago. It was $175. Like a million little parts in there and even have to go back where has been as part of the older house. He was good. Again, older house that upset the code and everybody was telling me, I was going to do a whole bunch of step in the house, back up the house, take off being, and this guy came over with his back hoe, and said, he can take that cap out over there and put a new one out without doing anything for the house. This guy could have picked his teeth with his back hoe and he was so good. But all the guys have been good. That is the guy who I kept going back because he was a mess with the back hoe. They were timely, all did what they said they will be going to do, we have one issue with some pump, they came right out and fixed it the next day, and they back up their work without any charge or anything. They did things what other people said they could not do. I will use them again. Where would you find a good service, you are going to stick with him, and use them with the hassle. I did replace the bolt out in the bathroom myself. That does mean I compete with them? I did it like $2.15 but it is some research because it was like an old bathroom and took me some research to find the right bolt out. Some people did have it by the way.
Description of Work: I do use The Pink Plumber for plumbing service. It was a leaky faucet and a shower, and I just did not want to take it apart myself. And I had a guy replaced some hook in the basement because the reason I started using them is, I wanted to get, and this is probably a year or 2 ago, our septic tank plus, that was advertised, I had the guy come over and I knew that the cap was in the wrong place. He replaced the cap, and that was up the code, it was a big port and how he can get in, and comes out the septic tank that he need to.

They repaired a lot of plumbing issues that other companies were unable to resolve. The professionalism and quality were excellent. The gentleman that figured out the problem with the drain field on the septic tank had 30 years of experience and I think that made a huge difference in the entire job. The experience that had created minimal destruction of our yard.
Description of Work: They repaired the drain field on two separate septic tanks. They repaired some indoor plumbing in a bathroom as well. They had to do excavation work for the service..

Initially quoted me $1900 to fix my problem with leaking water heaters. Told me I needed two new water heaters, plus pressure expansion unit, etc. He said that the pressure to my house was too high, thus these water heater valves were "spent" and would keep leaking, plus needed the expansion tanks to stay in code. I told him I thought that once the house pressure was under control, the units would stop leaking. He said "well, If you say so... since you're the expert.." Sure enough, once the pressure was regulated, there were no problems inside the house. He tried to sell me a ton of replacement equipment (new heaters, etc) that I did not need. I feel lucky to know a little about plumbing and thus not get swindled. I still paid almost $1000 for installation of a PRV valve, which is crazy, but I needed the problem fixed.
Description of Work: Installed pressure regulating valve (dual check PRV) and "box" around it to keep dirt out.

Well, after discussing with recent plumber, not very well. Let's just say that new plumber reviewed contract, looked at us and said, " I'm sorry you got charged this for this work". To be honest, I really don't know much about out doors plumbing, but below is a breakdown. 75' of hose $195 ($2.50+ / ft of hose) additional hose fee $25 Environmental fee $15.00 ?? Additional Sludge $385 Overfill Tank Fee $161 Hydrojet drainfields $335 Replace TLine/Baffle $508 "Offered no warranty b/c of amount of water being used" PP has no idea of the amount of water I use. Hmm, now warranty vs a 1yr unconditional warranty from the other plumber. I couldn't get work off this day due to a high priority project. I did however chat with Nick and management several times throughout the day about the work that was being performed. I think PP took advantage of a home alone mom. Now that I review this, the math doesn't add up. Got to appreciate one of the lines of the receipt. "Customer pleased with cover up of yard".

After servicing my home air conditioning system, my upstairs unit stopped working after the technician left. When I called the provider to have the technician (or even another technician) return to my home to fix the issue, the customer service rep said no one was available that day but the technician would be at my home by 9AM the following day. The following day, I received a call at 8:50 AM stating the technician would be at my home in an hour or longer. After spending almost an hour on the phone with multiple phone calls, the technician finally arrived by 10:15AM. It was a quick fix - he had inadvertently triggered a switch that shut off my upstairs unit. Problems happen with any job but this provider made it very difficult to resolve my problem. Their customer service reps show little regard for customers who have paid and encounter a problem with their service.

The installation of the new garbage disposal did not take long and I have to say that I am satisfied with the work. What I am very displeased with was the price. In hindsight I should have checked with other plumbers to compare prices to The Pink Plumber. It wasn't until after the work was completed that I did some price comparisons. I found that every quote was at least half the cost of the $560 that The Pink Plumber charged. Needless to say we will NEVER call The Pink Plumber again for any work. We want to caution consumers if anyone is thinking about doing business with The Pink Plumber.
Description of Work: We called The Pink Plumber to check out a leak under our kitchen sink. The plumber arrived within the timeframe I was given and acted in a very professional manner. He identified that the garbage disposal was causing the leak and said that it would only take him 45 min to replace because he had the part in his truck.

I actually used them for my HVAC problem. My AC went out on Tuesday, and I was sweating like a pig. I called Tuesday night and they had someone out Wed afternoon. Patrick, the repairman was a good guy. He took one look at my 35 year old central air system and suggested I replace the whole thing with a $4500 Lennox system. I thought that was actually a good price. I had him look at my outside unit, and as I suspected, the compressor was not kicking on. It had fried the wires. I decided to just have a new system installed as mine was really old and inefficient. He had Chuck and Chris come out first thing Thursday morning. They arrived shortly after 9 (they had to pick up the equipment first) and finished by 2, which included a run to Home Depot for a furnace part. They were very courteous and professional, and did a tremendous job. Now my house is cooling much better. I know they are known for plumbing, but I'd recommend the Pink Plumber for any HVAC work. $4500 for a Lennox is a heck of a deal. I've seen people pay $7k for it. It should be noted that Pink Plumber and Aames are one in the same.

The plumber showed up on time and was professional and pleasant. The work, including the time he went to Home Depot, was 2.5 hours. My displeasure was the bill. The final bill topped the charts at $1200!!! TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS for a disposal and two toilet valves. I checked the prices of disposals at Home Depot. They averaged about $150. They toilet flaps were perhaps $20. So, SOMEHOW, the labor was about $350 an hour?! That is OUTRAGEOUS. The technician even acknowledged that the price was super high. The Pink Plumber makes more than my attorney!!
Description of Work: I called the pink plumber to explain that I had a broken disposal and two toilets that leaked occasionally. The company told me they could not give me a quote over the phone without seeing the problem. They made an appointment for the next day. The plumber showed up on time and diagnosed the problem. I needed to replace the disposal and put a new valve in the two toilets, as they were old. The plumber had the parts for the toilets, but had to buy the disposal at Home Depot. He replaced the toilet parts, removed the old disposal, and installed a new disposal.

Where my displeasure and disappointment came in was that they charged for diagnosising the problem and charged us for installing the replacement toliet. They said because I purchased the toliet myself (from a local home improvement store) they would charge us to re-install the replacement. They charged over $200 to 'diagnosised' the problem. Then, they charged us another installiation fee. All totalled, we spent around $900.00 in 2.5 day's time for one toliet. My husband had pre-paid for the toliet to be re-installed. This was a problem because the box store from which I orginally bought the replacement toliet said they would install the replacement for free. By that time my husband did not want to cancel the re-installation. I'll never use them again (I cannot afford them).
Description of Work: I called them and they were very responsive. We thought we had a septic problem; however, the first person (septic tank person) was helpful and informative. He referred us to the plumber. We had the plumber out, and he discovered the problem with with our toliet. He advised us to replace (he could have rebuilt it but the toliet was old to begin with). He was effcient in getting the toliet installed. That evening the toliet began to leak. I called the Pink Plumber and they sent another plumber in the morning. After 3 hours, he discovered a pin hole in the toliet bowl. So, the problem was not the Pink Plumber's fault. Where my displeasure and disappointment came in was that they charged for diagnosising the problem and the charge for installing the replacement toliet (they said because I bought the toliet myself they would charge us to re-install the replacement). It was over $200 to 'diganosis' the problem, and then a second charge to install the toliet. All together we paided around $900 in diagnositic and installation charges.

Although they were two hours past the time frame I was given for service, the job was successfully completed. They recommended my next step to completely solve the problem. We had to connect to the county sewer tap since the sewer line had been put down on our street about 5 years ago. When that is the case, you are not allowed to have work done on the septic tank other than having it cleaned out. They made arrangements for someone else from their company to survey the situation and give me a price for the work that needed to be done.
Description of Work: The septic tank was pumped out and that service was necessitated by concern that it was about to back up into the house. They diagnosed the problem as having to do with the drain field - it had deteriorated due to age.

There was no start to finish, as they failed to show.
Description of Work: We called 11/05/12 on a pipe that had rusted through and was leaking underneath the house. An appointment was set for that afternoon and we were told they would come before 1 and 4p.m. They would call before they got there to make sure we were home. We stayed there all day to make sure we didn't miss their call. It is 11/07/12 and we never heard a word from them. Needless to say, we would never call them again and will notify Neil Boortz what kind of company he is advertising for.

I had a leaking pipe & called to make an appt with the Pink Plumber. The technician came this morning, luckily because my water heater & tank burst over the week-end. The laundry room & garage were flooding. The two issues that I had with the leaky outside pipe & the water heater, seemed to be related to each other. The technician was on time, & exceptionally kind & polite. He gave me a quote, which I thought to be less than I was expecting. The work he did was outstanding. He kept in the loop every step of the way. All I can say is that th Pink Plumber sent me an angel.

Leanord was the man who came out and he was very prompt. I appreciated how honest he was about what was going on. He gave me a fair estimate for a new water heater, but it turns out I am not quite ready for one at the present time. I would highly recommend him because of his honesty. Another guy had told me that I needed a new water heater right away and quoted me a higher price. I will definitely consider using them in the future.

Septic technician arrived on time. explained the process somewhat, and got my approval to begin. After a few minutes of "searching" for my septic tank, explained to me that since my tank was not straight downline from my main waste line coming out of the house, that he would have to use an electronic camera/location transmitter device to locate my tank. Extra cost $200....foolishly I consented....5 minutes later (I was inside not watching), he "found" my tank less than 5 feet from the outside cleanout...in a very obvious location. I thought you gotta be kidding me...you are a professional septic system servicer, and you could not figure that out ? Next he digs up my tank and begins the hard sell. My system needed a $275 4" PVC fitting which you can buy for $20 at Home Depot, and installs in 10 minutes. Next he is trying to convince me that my entire septic system needed to be chemically treated, and jet cleaned out "just to be sure" ...all total nonsense, since there was no real problem to begin with. (I called them, because I had just bought the home, and had no idea when the system was last pumped) After he left with $695, I saw that his excavator had uncovered a shallow metal tank cleanout that he could have acessed instead of digging up my flower bed 2 ft deep...again, I don't understand why he could not have figured this out in the first place with simple standard techniques...I think the game is to dig it up, and then start trying to convince the customer to authorize more ansd more expensive services. I made the silly mistake of trusting and telling this guy that I knew nothing about septic systems. He took advantage of that to try to sell, sell, sell ! Don't call the Pink Plumber, AAMES, unless you know exactly what you need, and exactly where your tank is...even then I would not call them...I think their business model is inherently shadey, and would definitely not recommend them.

We are sorry you feel this way, we only use electronic locates when it is needed on average of 10 times a year. We dug up the septic tank to pump it out and inspect the baffle tees. All our Septic Technicians are State Certified and licensed. The state of Georgia requires that septic tanks be pumped clean and are in good operating condition. Baffle tees are very important to the functioning of a septic system both for the home and the ground water. The biggest misconception about septic systems is "it is working fine so no need to service it." The state recommends that it be serviced every 3 to 5 years so a problem can be caught before it becomes a major problem. The information on your invoice does not match what you have stated in your write-up. It is unfair to other Consumers and Companies when a write-up is inaccurate
