When he came the second time, he asked some more questions about the ages of the ceiling fans, since they were all affected by the outage. Once he determined that one of the fans was much older than the others, he very carefully took the old fan down, so he could access the wiring. As soon as he could see the wiring, he immediately saw that it had burned through. Evidently the power surge involved with the power service outage had finished off the old wiring. He took his time, working in the attic and at the ceiling, cutting back the old wiring to a place where it was not brittle, and installing new wiring. He did not rush but just kept on, carefully reinstalling the fan. He cleaned up everything before he went. He answered all of my questions and explained exactly what he had found and why the breakers had not been tripped, even though the circuit was not working. The amount he charged was amazingly reasonable, considering how much time he had put into this repair. I will be very comfortable contacting Silver Creek Electric for any electrical problems I might encounter in the future.
Description of Work: He came twice. The first time he located all of the outages in the house. Only about half of the system was out. He came the second time, ready to check his assumption about where the problem was. Since not all of the essential power was affected by the outage, there was no problem in waiting for his return.
